It just occurred to me this morning and looking through my files that many people at the moment are using V4.5 alongside V5 and maybe slowly moving stuff over as installers become available. As scenery installers do become compatible for the new version, with sometimes a slight change in the AFCAD which has been mentioned by a few developers, I cannot help but notice that both versions share the same SODE xml folder. I hope I am wrong but is this going to produce conflicts in anyway, has anyone else come across issues.? I have also noticed if you have any exclude.xml files with GSX2, this also shares the same folder with V4.5. There is something in me thats say…

Hi: Since REX stopped their forums, I don't even bother. But has anyone heard what or if any of their products are updated or being updated for HF3 &/or v5. If I remember, it took them FOREVER to update most of their (especially the airport textures) for v4. Thanks.

I have P3Dv4.5, When I loaded up a flight today with the Electra 10A I could get no sound. I checked all the settings and everything looks good. I tried other airplanes and sound was as usual. Other programs, music, videos all have sound. Only this Electra has no sound. Like the speakers are unplugged. The last time I flew the Electra was yesterday and the sound was fine. What could this be?

How do map a keystroke or axis to the Yoke's elevator trim switch please? The default home/end keystrokes do not control the yoke trim switch.

Are you guys seeing weird objects all over v5? I see vertical posts with red lights on top in clusters. I see long vertical white poles often when I go to spot view and look behind the plane. My computer and video card are somewhat state of the art and very, very capable of producing excellent graphics. At least it has up to this point. Please tell me you are seeing these vertical poles and clusters of poles with red lights. I see runway signs floating and I see cars and vehicles floating when I'm at 30,000 ft. I can't explain it. Good morning, I have a strange problem with pro/ATC X, when in YSSY, pro/ATC X gives me impossible taxiway guidance, it isn't only occurring once, every time i'm in Sydney, with different runways every time, the taxiway guidance is bugged out. In my last flight Pro/ATC gave me instructions to taxi to runway 34R via C A T6, if you look at the charts, it is impossible to taxi from Charlie to Alpha straight, and then somehow jump go T6? I'm not sure if it's a glitch. Also note that I checked the map in Pro/ATC and it matches the normal map, this taxi route is still not possible even from their side! Thanks

Did anyone hear from Carenado and their little son Alabeo if they intend to make their big fleet fit for Prepar3d5? There is no forum and their support page focuses on eminent questions like "GPS on aircraft not working after P3D 2.1 Patch". My personal take will be they re-release half of their fleet for the full price (with 3 downloads allowed via their page) over the next two years (i.e. until launch of Prepar3d6) and we can forget about the other half. I just noticed this today, it wasn't this bad prior to this. It started happening after I installed Rex Skyforce 3D, and when I had to reinstall my FSDT addon manager and airports all over again. Not sure if any of those had anything to do with it. But a restart of windows still won't fix the slow loading issue. The very 1st time I start up my sim after a reboot will take maybe around 15 minutes, and then every time after that maybe 11 minutes. P3D loads up to about 6% and then this is where it slows down a lot, at this point it stays here for about 7 minutes before it the percentage starts increasing. Twice in a row landing on Rwy 12 at KMIA in the new simulator, I encountered some sort of problem that felt like I had hit the ground about a mile or so off and below 1,000 ft. Flying the PMDG 738Nu, .once my own landing and the next autoland. Exact same thing like I had hit the ground but was well above. KMIA was default and I had clear skys. ORBX products installed. Anyone else having something similar.

Hi guys, Every time I choose something in the menus the screen goes black for 10 sec before the selected window opens (weather, aircraft, location...). It wasn't the case on the vanilla install so something is probably causing this delay. I've installed my A2A fleet, all compatible ORBX products and some airports which are supposed to be compatible with P3Dv5. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks!

If I'm running P3D in 1080P does setting texture res to high or ultra have any affect?

I have tried the manual installation of MyTraffic in older versions of P3Dv3-4+ and it has always worked but can't get the aircraft to show up in P3Dv5 .I double checked for any typos I might have made .

Since some time (cannot tell when this problem started) I have to adjust my sound sliders like that. Only then I'm able to hear the ATC voice. What's the problem here? Why is it, I wonder, that P3Dv5 is displaying my amount of GPU memory as 5GB where in reality my GTX 1060 has 6GB on board? Can any of you shed some light on this, please? Thanks, Hans

Hi all, Few quick questions: Is there a general consensus on which version of P3D we should use? It feels like there is a new release all the time and I wonder if add-on developers are struggling to catch up Are there any issues having both FSX:SE and P3D installed? Is it better to partition to OS and have one on one and the other on another? Is the general principles that P3D has better performance than FSX:SE because of better ability to leverage multi-core CPUs and GPUs compared to FSX accurate and accurate with all versions? (V3, V4, V5) Thanks

Hi folks, I've been running Prepar3D v4.5 flawlessy with my current PC specs. I wanted to give a try to v5 to see the diifferences (I don't want to swap to v5 yet), but I cannot manage it to run. I am getting the following errors: I didn't want to upgrade my beloved 780 Ti until RTX 30s are out. Is there any workaround for that issue? Thanks!

Hi guys, Tried searching but haven't managed to find anything yet so thought I'd post on here to see if anyone might have some ideas on how to fix my issue. Essentially, when at altitude my horizon seems to be jaggy and upon further investigation, using top down view and zoom out, I can see that there's only a small area of scenery loaded around the aircraft location.
