I’m on the road for a couple of days more and I’m looking forward to getting home and trying P3Dv5. One of the biggest complaints I had with V4.5 was the constant long pauses that seemed to be fixed along all of the ORBX region. For instance I cold take off from KBVS and fly direct to Concrete and there was a long pause waiting for me at the same point in route that would last 5 to 10 seconds in V4.5 Have these been fixed in V5?

Although I have owned FSUIPC paid version for a long time, I have only just decided to use it in P3D V5. Last week, with the help of Google and YouTube, I successfully calibrated and bound my button, switches and axis to my Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and Throttle. It worked like a dream and I was very pleased with the results, and I flew a number of aircraft using one of the two specific profiles that I had created. Hey Simmers. So Ive been RA customer since FSX. I have RAB60 B60T and LancairV2 Now I have a P3Dv5 installed (fresh install) and I cant install any of RealAir products. I had P3Dv4.5 before and I uninstalled +I uninstalled all addons. So I know that installator are for FSX P3D3 P3D4 etc. but somehow after starting it do not allow me to install airplanes to P3Dv4 to transfer later to P3Dv5 Here is proof:-options are grey out. I tried to re-download installers from RA website but same issue. I do not have FSX installed at all(any version)

I am not sure if I have to purchase FSUIPC and WideFS7 separately or at all? I wanted to ask if these are both separate purchase and or if there are any free options? I am completely unfamiliar with both of these and am thinking of purchasing so I can program my flight sim which is running P3dv5.

Hi guys, One of my quest to have basically only have sim addons which install outside (very few certain exceptions will be made) - Does the Installer for FS Global 2020 NG install the scenery mesh via the xml method or loads up the scenery.cfg In the past I manually had to make xml directories and a script to disable the files that the installer was doing. I hope it is all automatic now and I do not have to waste time again doing it manually. Contemplating here to upgrade or not. Thanks Skywolf

New build, v4.5 runs fabulously w/ the same approach as the prior build for 3.4, which is UNLIMITED/vsync to 30Hz screen. Despite showing massive headroom on a given flight (Setup to be respectful of hardware capabilities, per flight scenario), to the tune of CPU at ~42% load, GPU at ~53%, I was getting these annoying niggles on the ground and in the air. Very fluid for 6-14 seconds, then this annoying stuttering burst, subtle in terms of amplitude, but clearly there and very annoying! I never saw this in P3D 3.4 on the old rig so this was a total puzzle to have these recurrent disruptions in otherwise fabulously smooth animation. Well, I decided to try rebuilding…

Evening all, After finding the secret last year to running Dynamic Lighting in V4 was to run with no higher than 2xMSAA, I was finally able to start using this feature which on 4k monitors is otherwise crippling at higher AA settings. With my GTX 1080 I can run V4 quite happily now with DL on at 4K with my 2xMSAA with almost no difference to performance during the day. Now running V5 I've found that once again DL causes crippling performance even at 2xMSAA. Even turning AA off completely doesn't match performance that I get using 2xMSAA during the day. A lot of my aircraft I have ported over from Prepar3DV4 to V5 no longer have usable lights. This is even though they use the same Effects. How can I fix this? Jim

I see that some folks have the NGXu working in P3d v5, does anyone have the original NGX installed any working? My understanding is this will not be converted for v5. Cheers, Pete

I use Fltplan.com's simconnect powered plugin with Prepar3D; all has been well until I installed LINDA this morning - now Fltplan.go will not connect. Is it possible to two are in conflict or should I be looking elsewhere to find the problem? I did uninstall/reinstall the P3D client last night; perhaps that caused a problem? I installed SimConnect from C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACKRedist/

I have C152 in v4.5 and v 5 I use the Avionics Switcher to select GTN but item does not appear on in aircraft cockpit I am sure I had it working in v4.5 at one time Anything else I could try? xxd09

After doing a fresh install of windows and planning on building up V5 with Addons with V5 installers only I've gotten to the point off tuning. AS usual this process starts out at KSEA. Well as I had seen reported else where KSEA appears problematic and CTD's there where definitely worse there than I had generally experienced since V5 was release. All I have installed in ORBX, FSDT, FT, FB, DD all of which have V5 installers. Installing ORBX I basically installed Central 1.4.6 and set up a library outside the sim. I then picked a region to install from scratch letting Central setup the library and paths. I then copied and pasted the rest of my backed up ORBX stuff to the p…

So i just updated Windows 10 to version 2004 Insiders after seeing someone get 1Gig of VRAM by doing the same. I flew Drzewiecki Designs Seattle X airports updated installer yesterday, with sliders maxed i was peaking at 8.2 GIG VRAM out of 9.1 allocated in total, After today's Insiders update it gave my 1080TI an extra 1GIG of VRAM from 9.1 GIG VRAM to 10.1 GIG VRAM so W10 OS has given back 1 GIG. 🙂 and this was with full sliders and 50% traffic i reached 7.5 which is a significant increase. I'm not certain when this happened, but I just noticed that my addon airport RJBB in Japan all of a sudden has these two giant patches of land that just showed up next the the airport. They most certainly were not there before. It might just be coincidence, but I hadn't seen this before I updated the P3D client to HF3 (I'm still running 4.5). I do have ORBX FTX Global and Vector installed. I have downloaded the latest ORBX Central app, and refreshed / verified my products' installation and all seems well there. Is it possible to run Flight1 GTN 750/650 in my computer where I have P3Dv4.5 h2 and P3D v5 installed on separate hard drives Before installing v5 all worked well in v4.5 Now works in v5 and not v4.5 v4.5 keeps stating that an invalid Garmin trainer installed-this cannot be the case as all is working in v5 Am I asking too much or is there another installation path to follow? xxd09

Hi all, I need your help as I messed up my complete P3Dv5 installation and I do not want to start from scratch but I do not know how to have everything ordered again. Let me explain, what I did (I know now that this was not very intelligent to do...): 1. I wanted to see if my Aerosoft products using the add-on.xml method work in v5. For this, I added a discovery path entry to my Aerosoft addon folder (D:\Aerosoft) to the add-ons.cfg under \ProgramData. This worked, P3Dv5 asked me to enable those addons inside this folder and I clicked yes. 2. Now that already several addons got an v5 installer, I removed the discovery path from the add-ons.cfg, but somehow this …
