Hi... I'm flying the QW787 and the radio identifier beeps are sounding, but I can't work out where from...? I haven't set anything, just loaded the aircraft up. I've tried all the various radio buttons (I think!). Anyone know where it's coming from so I can switch it off (it's sending me mad!)? Thanks, Ben

I have removed the cloud reflections from the sea, but when flying at night and dusk over water I get a load of annoying flickering outside the cockpit which I think is supposed to be reflections of the stars. Does anyone know how to disable this without removing the star effects in the sky? (P3Dv5) cheers Ian

Am currently running P3d 4.5 with windows 10, and have recently started having a black screen issue. Whenever I start up P3d, it immediately blacks out the desktop screen, so I have no access to anything running in the background such as the taskbar, ActiveSky, etc. I first thought it mite be an issue with the SAAD version of the A350 I downloaded from simviation since it didn't occur until after I downloaded them, but I deleted those files, and it didn't fix the problem. I haven't run into this before, so I have no clue how it happened or how to fix it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

It is now showing as P3Dv5 compatible on the web site and Simmarket but on ORBX only V4 compatible, anyone using this on v5.

Hi! just a beginner question, How can I get values from gauges like airspeed, altimeter etc. for use with voice attack. For example after takeoff when the VS is +500 i want voice attack to execute a command that says " positive rate gear up". I am trying to use it to get a virtual captain for ATR 72.

Hello All. I have just completed a fresh install of P3D v4.5 and all the addons. However when I load the program just using the default location, loading stalls at 69% at the "loading auto-generated scenery..." stage. It has not just slowed down - it stays at 69% for as long as I wish to wait. So far all other locations seem to load fine. Does anybody know what could be causing this?

I came back to the hobby at the exact time P3D was up to 5.1 and MSFS came out. I did buy both. Having already splurged for the equipment, what's another couple hundred bucks? P3D feels familiar, looks great with Orbx World Base, Vector and regional LC, and has the airliners I prefer for short to medium flights. Contrary to predictions 😉 I'm getting more than 10 FPS with my L1101. In fact, I never dreamed of the FPS and smoothness and have not experienced any VRAM issues. I am really liking P3D. The hardest part is learning about the ubiquitous SODE and why P3D and add-ons populate folders all over Hell's half acre and trying to keep Windows Nanny from screwing ever…

Does P3D have seasonal textures? Just went to the middle of December at EGLL and the textures are almost exactly as they are in the summer. Ben

Hi! As someone who flies only GA with VFR, I'm interested in GA AI planes in smaller airports. The goal is to have at least several GA aircraft of adequate MTOW flying to/from every small airfield that I visit (mostly the US and Europe). In P3D v4 I used ORBX AI traffic NA, and it was rather good though not perfect (limited coverage). Now it seems not to be released for V5. So I tried to overview what's available, and now asking for advice if I'm missing anything. What we have for V5 to my experience: ORBX AI traffic NA. Not officially released for v5. I placed the following in Obyx but got nowhere with this question "" I don't use MSFS much but when I do --- I really like to use my wi-fi X box controller to control the camera I bought Chaseplane a while ago and have tried to use it -- but I just don't like the need to use my keyboard and with my sight - and memory - it takes a while to get the right key Soooh -- has anyone worked out a system that allows the X Box controller to be used with Chaseplane ??

Hello, We all know the days of having complete control over the scenery.cfg file ended with FSX. With some sceneries entered with a different method they are greyed out in the scenery library and can't be moved. Even OrbX Central doesn't seem to do what it is told. Just wondering if there are any rules regarding scenery installation into P3D v4.5. Are there rules regarding how many drives can be used? Are there any rules regarding what can be installed onto the same drive as P3D or the same drive as Windows? My scenery order is out of control and I thought I knew what I was doing!!!! I have the P3Dv4.5 with the last update. I have an issue with flashing monitor screen that can be fixed with Cockpit Tooltips setting OFF. I had been using P3d for years and suddenly P3d started with this issue in question. The flashing screen appears only when the mouse pointer is placed over any object which contains the tooltips text. Example: I place the mouse pointer over the object, the screen flashes and the tooltips text appears. I wait for the tooltips text disappears or I move the mouse pointer to a different place the flashing screen appears again and the tooltips text goes away. So, the Cockpit Tooltips actuates also like an On/Off switch for flickering …

Hey guys, I am at my wits end on how to solve this bug. I do have chaseplane on and I have enabled it to have MB Zoom (MB Hold + Scroll). Every time I rate to rotate a knob, I get zoom happening at the same time. Preventing me to scroll the hdg or any rotating knobs properly. Thanks

The Vertx DA62 has a navigation database containing SIDs and STARs but I can’t find it. Looked in all the usual places but to no avail. There has to be one because SIDs and STARs don’t ship with the default program. Or do they?

I discovered that the environmental probe that is a part of SODE and used by developers to trigger events does not appear to work in P3dv5.1. At LatinVFR KMSY New Orleans that developer uses the environmental probe to turn on runway lights at night or low visibility as well as control windsocks and terrain features. None of that stuff is working. I commented out ( with <!-- comment marks -->) the environmental probe and lighting conditional test entries and now the lights remain on all the time. That is better than always off.

Hey Guys. Just picked this up for V5. When at the gate I get the no jetways here in gsx. Is there a gsx profile or step I missed to get them to work?

P3D V5.1 EA ON ad EDDF this evening. ASP3D real world weather and just do some Plane spotting,,,,,These Addons AILRP and AIGAIM are really amazing! And I am sure within this new rendering engine DX12 and some repairs from LM this will be greater as it already is. Marcus

Hello All, After a long time away from flight sims i've just made the leap to P3D (previously on FSX!). Following much trial and error i've got most of my old scenery & tools up and running, but having a rather frustrating issue with Pro-ATC/X: everything seems to be working apart from taxi instructions, e.g. using UK2000 Heathrow Extreme the taxi instriuction will just be 'taxi via runway 23R'. I seem to get the same at any airport that I try. I have successfully imported scenery and runways into PATC (multiple times). Has anyone encountered this and found a solution?

Hi, So I just updated to P3D v5 but realized after that Activesky doesn't have an update for it and the Beta is closed..... Does anyone know of any other engine I can use for live weather in the meantime that is OK? Thanks!

Hi All I would really like some advice, is there away to separate the engine and other sounds to an external set of speakers and leave the ATC and cockpit sounds for the headset? I use a USB headset and if I use the P3D sound settings it puts all sounds in the external speakers except ATC but then all switch sounds, and other cockpit sounds are also only audible thru the external speakers. Do i need another sound card? Thank you all.

Having a weird issue only happens in VC. I'm also using windowed mode. I get a brief but somewhat frequent black flash of the screen. Here's a short video to illustrate this. Anybody have any ideas here. I've noticed ever since going to V5 (currently in HF2) and using ActiveSky 7514 I often rarely see rain/snow. Even if in the metar. The other strange thing. Today I loaded up the FSLabs in "snow" conditions. I couldn't see snow coming down at all however. But I could see the snow starting to collect on my airplane. Any ideas?
