The tiles of hard winter textures in this shot, are the result of FSX/ESP swapping them in when snowfall is in the area, correct ? I've seen this in FSX and P3D2, and at first I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what I'd broken, but apparently this is normal ?

Making use of the holiday season ^_^ I informed on the LM forum what the current state of affairs was with the 2.1 update. Wes Bard responded with this: "We're working on it What might happen is we do a 2.05 or a smaller revision when we have most of the reported major issues cleaned up, and then get back to work on 2.1 and it's new features. We still have a roadmap of features for 2.1, but are obviously working larger issues with some of those features as well." Sounds like a wonderful (christmas) idea to me! I save my settings using the profile of "Prepar3d", but are they taking effect when running P3d V2? Also, whenever I start NI, it shows "_Global_Driver_Profile (base profile). How do I know which profile is in effect when running P3d V2? I also noticed that when I set "Antialiasing - Transparancy Supersampling" to "AA MODE_REPLAY_SAMPLES_FOUR" my fps is 75, and when it is set to "4x Sparse Grid Supersampling" the fps goes down to 47.

So, I have had no luck getting any Posky 777'-2/300's to show nicely in P3Dv2. The VC glass is totally glazed over. The rest of the views are fine; 2D panel, external textures. Is anyone using these successfully? I do have that freeware 777-9X that was recently released working well, btw. Thanks, Greg

Is vc rain making a comeback as i was having a look in the texture folder i found loads of the vc rain textures with a newish creation date on them which makes me wonder.. are we going to get vc rain or are LM going to provide the tools for addon developers to use ?? I really hope we get vc rain back as they will really push the sim over the edge for me

I know there was a few threads about this but I'll be darned if I can find it. I remember some talk about people getting blurries regardless of what settings.. Did anyone ever figure this out? Running v2 on Windows 7 now I seem to be running into this very problem. I've killed NI settings P3D settings range from default to turned way down below default. Cleared shaders Disabled SLI Zero scenery addons Tried AM=84 / 85 .. No change deleting CFG HDR off I don't recall any of this during my time on Windows 8... So.. I wanted to do some FSX-P3D comparison shots of the ground textures w/ max auto-gen and scenery complexity on both.. While the textures themselves looked the same, there was something VERY different about the look of everything and I couldn't put my finger on it.. I set out to bring to light what the differences I was seeing actually are. FSX and P3D with auto-gen and scenery complexity maxxed on both. Same date, time, season, hour, minute, second with both. I have posted and emailed LM regarding repeated crashing (event log provided) with D3DCSX_43.DLL. Hi all my first post here and sorry haven't read every post in this thread but was wondering if nvidia surround resolutions and 3D are supported in this sim like they are in FSX? I fly in 3DVS now and can not give that up. I also would be flying the dodosim 206 and other choppers so I need to know if this sim has built in choppers and whether or not they are realistic to fly unlike the default FSX choppers? Any issue with 3rd party USB controllers etc that I should know about. Thank you so much in advance!

Anyone here knows how many activations you get with a Pro license and how long it usually takes to reset the counter when you've used them all up (like I just did)? And is LM 'open' during the weekend to take care of this or do I have to wait until at least monday?

Well folks, From what I see, v2 is using "fxml" format for saving flights in flight planner. Is there a way to convert your saved FSX or P3D v1.4 flight plans over? Thanks so much. Tom

Hello folks,My Flight Planner Tab "has" been working so when I click, it opens the planner screen and I can set up a flight.With "no changes" in way of add-on's or config changes, AFTER P3D opens to default screen - I choose Flight Planner, then I get a gray screen,then "P3D has stopped working window." Is anyone running FTX Global on P3DV2 without the white boxes around the the FTX lights during daytime? Anyone not seeing the boxes with volumetric fog turned off? (The problem is not as obvious with fog turned on.) You need to be over an urban area to see the boxes. The threads on this problem at the FTX forums seem largely ignored and I am left wondering if this is a universal problem or something only a few people are experiencing. This is a bit of a show stopper for me as I have little interest in running P3D with default terrain textures.

Hi guys, I know there is a mammoth amount of discussion going on the latest version of P3D, it's pros and cons etc. and I am a bit late to join the party, but I have got a problem of my own and I want your suggestions... I have got a moderate machine with 3.0 GhZ Quad core (2 processors), Windows 7 Pro. 64 bit, 8 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 2GB DDR5 Graphics card. It was working fine with PMDG 737 and FS2Crew until I download REX essential + Overdrive. With REX my FSX frame rate took a hard hit but now with FTX England and Active Sky Next on top of it I can barely finish a full flight. System either crashes or everything blacks out. I have been following p3d for awhile and have a few general questions. 1. Does it have the ability to do free flight hate to use this example but pick an airport to start and fly to another destination like in fsx for virtual airline purposes? Hello All! Just installed Prepar3d v2 last week, and I have to say that I am VERY impressed so far. I was trying to figure out what gives me that different "feel" or look from FSX, and for me, it's the way the autogen gets rendered further out to the horizon, with no sudden "pop-ups" just in the vicinity of the aircraft. For me, that really makes a world of difference. Excellent! Now, for my actual question! Every time I go to one of the menus to select a new aircraft, airport, season, time, etc., my aircraft controls are "out of whack" when I get put back in the sim. Why I am doing this - Because I feel people (myself included) are just setting things to ultra without not only realizing the performance consequences but also not realizing that "ultra" doesn't necessarily result in "the best".. First of all, I'm using the Saitek X52 Flight Control System, so perhaps this is a Saitek only bug. So it would be nice if any others could check this on their systems. When I assign the mixture and propeller controls to two of my Saitek axis, neither one gives a full range of adjustments. Instead I am limited to 19 to 81% (instead of 0 to 100%). I have tried different axis assignments, with the exact same results, and have even tried to calibrate my controllers, without seeing any improvement. I haven't tested this with all the default aircraft, but I fly the Bonanza the most, and this is very consistent (the range is ALWAYS exactly 19 to 81%). The only way I can…

Hello, I would like to buy Prepared v2. However, I am retired, I'm not enrolled in any school. So, can I still be able to use Prepar3d v2, How can I get around this fact when installing and activating it without having the ability to show proper qualifacations. Thanks, Larry
