Hello All. I would fist like to say thankyou to the wonderful PMDG team for taking the time out of their busy schedules to participate in the discussions here on Avsim. This is my first post here so please pardon me if I violate any rules of which I may not currently be aware. I wouyld like to know whether the NGX will be the first major FSX only addon that will actually have rain visible on the windows in the virtual cockpit. My second question addresses whether or not each airline livery can be preset/saved to have the options specific to that airline.Dent Lapmington

S! I would like to ask if there is some cheaper solution for shipping items to customers. I am from Slovakia and I was thinking about buying a QRH and system posters, which would be approximately 90 USD, an OK price for me plus the price of NGX. But the cheapest shipping according to calculation is 76 USD...rather much as it is almost the price of the items.I hope there is some cheaper possibility Best regardsJan PitorEDIT: Sorry for the spelling in the title

Will the NGX gauges be compatible with FSUIPC's Mouse Macro functionality ? Sorry if I'm jumping the gun here, but being able to use this functionality at least for the MCP and MCDU pushbuttons and rotaries would be very important in my modest home cockpit. Thanks heaps for any info on this matter :(.

I have a quick query about some of the options available. We all know the NGX will be the first NG to model the Navigation Performance Scales (NPS) and Integrated Approach Navigation (IAN) features. Are these features that can be turned on and off as airline options or are they defaulted to 'on'? I seem recall that Ryan said they were indeed configurable but I might have got that wrong. The same question for GLS approaches - I guess that GLS (and IAN to an extent) is kinda FMS hardcoded and not an airline option so to speak. The eagle eyed will spot that in the 'Fly on the Fly' video we were shown all 11 pages of the Airline Equipment options and these options didn't show …

For me one of the most important aspects of any simulation are the sounds. Just as important as visuals. We've been told the sound experience in the NGX will be very impressive. I know that there will be moments when using the NGX where the sounds will just make me smile with satisfaction.Where do you think these moments will come? For me it will be the 737 specific sounds that other addons have all attemped but with mixed success.... The clunk of the nose gear on retraction, the speed brake lever on deployment at touchdown, the trim wheels, engine spool up etcCan we predict these moments of sound immersion, what will make you smile the first time you hear it? Are there a…

I am glad you guys are reading this at the moment, the title of this would probably will take you to back ages, WHY NOT PUBLIC BETA TESTING. why not, are you afraid of your product performance? this is something we need to know before we purchase your product and on on on etc..What my point is that why not have a public beta team? dont get me wrong, I am a technical engeener for a .com company in the USA with 100 million active accounts with over 200 million customers. Before we come up with a great product to our customers, we do regresion tests with our real account holders, why not do it here? I think this will help your company achive great goals here, it will give yo…

Hi Folks, I have just completed an Uninstall/Install of FSX. I had a look at the FSX.cfg and could not see Buffer Pools, Highmemfix, Text_Bandwidth_mult or Jobschedular to name just three, even after an Edit search. Can anyone explain why. This was done to accommodate the new 737NGX. Many thanks in advance. richard welsh.

I know that FS9 was always bad about being able to simulate single engine taxi due to not being able to truly simulate hydraulic nose wheel steering and such, but I have had a bit of success doing single engine taxi's with a few payware planes over the years.I just upgraded to FSX a few days ago, only have 1 payware plane on so far so I haven't really had time to experiment.I'm curious if any of the devs or testers for the NGX have tried to perform a single engine taxi before takeoff or after landing and if so, how well do the flight dynamics of FSX allow it to be done?I know the systems modeling of the NGX will allow it to work perfectly if the plane is set up correctly;…

Does anyone know if the 737 will be available on DVD as well as via download?I find its easy to set up the computer following a major crash useing a disc instead of wasting Ryan & Vins time online. Ray Griffiths.

Greetings all,I've been trying to learn about RNAV approaches, and have a few questions. As an example, I'm refering to KSJC RNAV (RNP) Z r/w 30R.http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/SJC/IAP/RNAV+(RNP)+Z+RWY+30R/pdfThe number after the RNP on the chart (for example: 0.70) refers to the accuracy required for the FMC, am I correct? In other words, using this approach, an aircraft qualified as "0.70" could join this approach from the southeast (via JILIG, GILRO, MOZIE), but not from the northwest via POCUL, since that approach requires a more accurate system (0.50). Is this right? Also, on the RNAV (GPS) Y r/w 30R chart, what exactly does that "WAAS" info mean? (top left …

Hey guys, In anticipation of the NGX's release I would like to get a couple of flight plans ready. RC4 has an option to append the term "heavy to the aircraft. After doing a little research on the forums and the internet I was unable to come up with a quick answer to whether the 737 series is classified as a heavy. I would suspect that not all 737's are referred to as heavy but what about 700-900. How much more significant is the wake turbulence on these models (if any) compared to the smaller aircraft. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

CaptainsI am not sure if this has been covered yet, which is why I apologize in advance if it has already been discussed in the forums. We all know that the NGX is coming, and soon. So when it does, what can we expect with the download service? I have not yet purchased a PMDG on release day, but I plan to, along with thousands if not more other people. Will the servers, website, and checkout process be able to handle all of the ramped up traffic? I would be disappointed if the NGX came out and I was not able to purchase it on the first day due to the servers or purchasing process being maxed out. Knowing PMDG and their high standards they hold for their customers, I do no…

Hi everybody!Congrats on the efforts you've made so far. I follow the updates since almost 2 years and I still fly the "old" NG made by PMDG. While waiting for the release and studying some NG manuals I was wondering about the following:Do the Autopilot relays that can be heard in a classic 737 also clacker in a 737NG or is there something like a new software that replaced the mechanic relays within the FCU?Here you can hear the relays very well right at the beginning:http://www.youtube.c...YASI_c&index=38At this 737NG I hear nothing that sounds like one of those relays: The second question is if PMDG found a way to simulate working windshield wipers. I remember fly…

Hey everybody, sorry for my englishHere i'm going to ask to PMDG why they don't create or just integrate (RXP or CS) Weather Radars to their aircrafts, I mean they do everything, yeah, EVERYTHING as real as can be but they don't add a ''simple'' Weather Radar, that helps a lot who use to fly with realistic weather configuration, I mean, sync. to real world.PMDG, I just wanna know why you simulate somethings that are not so important and ''forget'' to simulate Weather Radars? Thanks, Luiz Cunha.

Hello,I want to ask if it's possible to overstress the airframe and if the aircraft reacts on that?I know of the default function for that, but just saying "Crash" when you do it is not what I want to see. What I want is getting the damage to the aircraft so that I have to land the NGX with that.A good example of what I mean was China Airlines flight 6 which stalled over the pacific ocean and dropped from cruise altitude to almost FL100. While they went down the elevators were seriously damaged and so the pilots had problems controling the aircraft during the approach. Will things like these be possible in the NGX?Thanks for your answers

Hi there. I have just purchaced your wonderful MD-11X and am now doing a lot of reading. The first thing that really impressed me was the format you used for your pictorial part of the FMS manual. 99.99% of those diagrams are just that. Black and white diagrams which are much, much more printer friendly (lots less toner) and sooooo much easier to read. I haven't got to the other manuals yet as i only purchased late last night. Anyhow, my question is: Are the printable files for the 737NGX going to be like this as that would be my only gripe i had with your equally wonderful 747X. those photographic diagrams of the FMC.Best regards,
