Button Control Version

  1. Started by skysurfer,

Good day all. I cannot find in manual who controls doors especially before engine start. Who closes and opens doors? I did not see it neither in pilot flying nor in pilot monitoring side flow. I may be missing something. So far I do it myself. Thank you.

Hi, I just installed P3D and wanted to install the PMDG 737 800/900 and 600/700, then I installed the FS2Crew, but when I start the sim and press the PWR button on the FS2Crew Panel, I get an SDK error. Then, I press again and it starts working, until I have to start engines, when the FO says that A/C is not configured. I just burned all the options. I downloaded the last versions. I just don't know what else to do. If any ideas, they're welcome!

I have a request for a future update. Could you disable the F/O's calls "approaching minimums" and "minimums" when the GPWS callouts are activated? Every time I'm coming in to land, I select the BARO minimums so that the GPWS will make the calls, but the F/O always make these same minimums calls on top of the GPWS, and I hear both voices at the same time. It's a bit annoying. Is it possible to deactivate the co-pilot's minimums calls when the these GPWS functions are enabled on the airline options, and only make it active when those callouts are not enabled?

Today I purchased FS2Crew for PMDG 737 NGX and spent two hours trying to get it to install. The installer gets to 1% and stalls out. The file it appears trying to intall is fs2crewdata.ini. I tried it twice but no luck. The installing locates my FSX folder just fine. I am running Windows 7 64bit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks John M.

Good day all. A week ago I noticed that I cannot engage the autopilot. Before departure I arm VNAV and LNAV and before takeoff roll I increase thrust to 40% N1 and hit TOGA, at that moment both VNAV and LNAV disengage for some reason (it never happened before). I am able to re-engage them again on takeoff roll or after lift off but autopilot won't engage whatever I try. I have to hand flying all the way. I use FS2crew as well, not sure if there is any relation between this issue and FS2crew. I cannot figure out what am I doing wrong or what causing the problem. Thank you.

Hi Bryon; As a old FS2crew user, this is one of the best ever (after a big shout out to the 747 button control for the PMDG 747!). One option I miss was an opportunity for a First Officer take off, as they do every other flight in the real world. The option is present in the current IFly version, any chance of adding it to ver 1.6?. Thanks and keep up the great work? Darrel Zuke

I've happily been using FS2Crew for the PMDG NGX for quite a while now, but recently I discovered FS2Crew behaves really strange during go-arounds. I'm using the button control version. Whenever I'm going missed, I tell the FO so by pushing the secondary button, then I press the TO/GA button and quickly after that I tell the FO to set flaps 15. Then I follow the usual climbout procedure, but FS2Crew never gets past the point where the captain calls 'climb thrust'. When I press the main button I can hear the captain say 'climb thrust', but the FO never reacts and then I have to use the down arrow on the FS2Crew panel to skip to flaps retraction part of the procedure. Durin…

  12. Hey Bryan, loving the latest updates to FS2crew, it's near perfect. However, I found something that I'd like to see if you could add to version 1.6. At the gate on shutdown, I hit the secondary button to ask the ground crew to connect external power and air. But the crew only connects ext power, not ext air, so I have to pull up the cdu and navigate to the ground connections menu to manually connect ground air. Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but if FS2crew can read the CDU ground connections options and connect power, why not add ground air as well? And by ground air, I mean just the air conditioning, not the air cart used for engine starts when A…

Hi Bryan. Even though I bought FS2Crew for the NGX on release I have just got round to completing a complete flight (PC packed away during move and decorating, then a complete reinstall and set up), however it gave me a couple of ideas for some added options for the flight attendants. I did a short flight from the EGHH to LEPA however before I had got halfway to cruising altitude the cabin crew started showing a movie which did not finish before I landed then once in cruise they started serving dinner (even though I was flying Ryanair and dinner consist of a chocolate bar and a sandwich). Then when I came to land in the holiday destination they started calling out…

I have a couple questions about dropping the gear on approach. Assuming I am slowed down enough when I start the approach and hit the flap extension schedule before dropping the landing gear, everything is fine as scripted in regards to the engine start switches. However, if I'm coming in a little too fast for whatever reason to hit the flap schedule and need to drop the gear before Flaps15 or even before Flaps1, then the co-pilot doesn't properly set the engine start switches to continuous before going through the Before Landing checklist. So, my first question for this would be is doing something like this "normal" some times in the real world? I think I've been …

Going through the sequence on departure I click the basic procedure of LNAV VNAV and then CMD A. After that however I am asked for climb thrust and then it wants me to click LVL CHG.. therefore disengaging VNAV... this does not seem right because I fly my whole departure and climb through LNAV and VNAV. Why is it forcing LVL CHG on me?

Am I right in thinking that the FO will only set the cruise/landing Alts on the overhead if you are running the full pre-flight sequence? It doesn't seem to happen if you skip that - I've tried setting the FMC cruise alt as soon as I'm loaded up (and before I open FS2C) but no luck. Would be a nice option to have him check/set that (I know, it's lazy...) Loving the addon, btw. Can't fly without it now. Paul Scholey

Just purchased FS2Crew for the NGX and have activated the Button Control Version 1.5. All is working fine EXCEPT: I cannot seem to get keyboard/joystick commands to open Main or Secondary panel. Here's what I've done so far: *FSX opens with Trike *When switching to NGX it opens in 2-D Window *Assigned Ctrl+Shift+M and Joystick Button 8 to "ALTERNATE STATIC SOURCE (ON/OFF)" *Assigned Ctrl+Shift+S and Joystick Button 7 to "PROPELLER SYNC (ON/OFF)" *Verified no conflict with button assignment in NGX's FMC In fact deleted ALL button assignments in NGX (don't use them) *Checked NGX panel.cfg file and there are 6 entries for FS2Crew window21=FS2Crew Main Pane…

Hi, I have the PMDG NGX, but as of yet I have not had a lot of use of it as it intimidates me a little, just wondering if this product will perhaps lessen the load a little and automate some things, a little like how A2A's COTS upgrade did for the B377? I have the voice version for the default 737 but I never got into the whole 'voice' thing so have not used it yet as I stumbled over the speech training part (not having an american-enough accent) Button version sounds more like my style Cheers Tim

Sorry to be a pest, but I wanted to ask if it would be possible to add the option of having the user ask the copilot to start the APU, versus the default scenario where he starts immediately after leaving the active runway upon landing. I believe a delayed start would save fuel, especially during long taxis (think of Amsterdam Schiphol runway 18R, that must be at least 15 minutes!) This is just a humble suggestion that could enhance realism, especially nowadays with high energy costs where every drop of fuel counts.
