Voice Control Version

Hello,I own the NGX nearly since its release and it is great fun, however I would like to add more realism with FS2Crew. Preferably I would like to use the voice controll, however I have read that the vocierecognizer of WIndows has to be set to English. Is that true? Because I am from Austria and I only have the German Windows 7 Home Premium so I can't change the language easily and I don't want to make a complete reinstallation of Windows, nor I want to spend money for Windows 7 Ultimate. So is there any chance that the voice control of FS2Crew will work with the German windows? Or does it only work with an English Windows 7 version?Best regards,Jonathan

After reading the topic, one thing was not quite clear to me. If you set the 2D cockpit view as default to fix the bugs reported. Do you then switch to the VC and everything will work? or will you need to use 2D only. Sorry if I am being dense here.Thanks

Hi Bryan.First off I want to say you have done an excellent job with this version of FS2Crew !!!Getting the NGX was amazing, getting FS2Crew for it has been out of this world.I cant believe how well the voice recognition works with such little set up!Anyway moving swiftly onto my question.The first flight I made, the PNF turned off the retractable landing lights after takeoff, all by himself. Not sure if that was supposed to happen as he has not done it in the next 3/4 flights? Is he being lazy or did I imagine him turning those retractable lights off after take off.He does turn both fixed & retractable lights off at FL100.If you could clarify I would appreciate it.Ma…

Hi, just a general question on something I can't figure out. When I have the config menu up and I snap back to the front view after panning in the VC the menu for FS2Crew dissapears. Anyway to keep it visual until I shut it down myself?Thanks for any suggestions.CaptMac

Will the FO still do the flows that are triggered by "engines stabilized" if I manually start one or both engines? Is there any other way to trigger this flow? Last night things got a little mixed up, I had to reconfigure the overhead and ended up starting the engines myself. The FO never did his flows after engine start and I'm just trying to work out why.

Hi all,I had a problem getting the clickspot in the vc,as I know a few of you have also had this issue also.Following some team view work with Bryan earlier today,it would seem (at least in my case anyway) that the issue was resolved when the 2D panel option was selected in the FSX options menu when first starting FSX. I then changed it back to 3D panel option (I didn't need to actually start FSX,just selecting these things seemed to work for me) then restarted FSX and all seems fine now. Have tried it with both analogue and digital instrument options. Like many of you I run AS 2012, GSX and EzDok if this helps. I'm sure Bryan would appreciate your comments and thoughts o…

Hey all,What is supposed to happen with the ground crew after shutdown? I hear them call me, but i cant get a response with 'yes' or 'go ahead', even with the correct audio panel setup (flt selected ). What am I missing?Thanks!George

Only a few minor problems on my end1) At an airport that has a really short taxi time the message that cabin is secure does not happen until barreling down the runway.2) Say Im descending, and atc clears me down below transition level (ie im at FL240 and cleared down to 12000) Im also told at this point to set my altimeters to 30.12, so I do this, but when passing 18000 my FO recycles them back to STD, its my understanding that you set your altimeters when atc tells you to or when cleared below the trans level, but the FO does it at 18000 regardless. First off, let may say as a new FS2Crew user I am very impressed with this software. It has brought a whole new enjoyment to flying this already fantastic aircraft. I have found the voice recognition very accurate, however there are 2 commands that I just can't get to work.The first is the command to keep the flaps up after engine start during taxi. When I say it I get nothing at all in the green barSecond is how to turn off the autothrottle. When I say it the FO acknowledges it but the 'arm autothrottle' on the MCP remains on. Hi Bryan....i must say from what ive tested so far i am impressed. Very well done on all your efforts although this has been a long and unticipated wait.regarding the departure brief i think it would have been good to include pilot to say departure brief info instead of the computer never the less mate its still great.I have an issue with the fs2crew panel. I run 2 screens so fsx is on number 1 screen and im trying to get the control panel to stay on number 2 screen. When i open up the fs2crew control panel all is well but as soon as i undock it and the config page and move it across to number 2 screen the 2 control panels go black. Hello all,I was wondering is there a way to change the announcements that play from the flightdeck such as welcome on board to some of my own that I have whihc I would like to use instead?I have the sound files so it would just be a case of copy and pasting the files over into a folder where the sound files for fs2crew are located but I'm not sure where said folder is located or if there even is a folder!Could I do this?TIA and kind regards,Dan

Hi there Bryan, just completed my second flight using FS2Crew voice commander and I'm LOVING IT! A bit overwhelming at first but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I have noticed that the FO doesn't turn off the landing lights or set the seatbelt sign to auto when climbing through 10,000 feet. Have I missed something here?

One thing I really never understood perfectly is how to correctly start the interaction with your FO if you decide not to press the 'Run PF' button. Should I manually advance FS2Crew to 'Before.Start Proc'?Read in another thread there are some video tutorials coming, will be great and hopefully they will show you both when opting to run the PF but also when you skip PF.

Hi,I'm new to the voice version of FS2Crew. During a number of my checklists, I respond correctly and the green bar says what I said, but the FO responds with "Are you sure about that?" and then moves on to the next item in the checklist. Yes, I am sure that I turned on the Anti-Collision beacon. The switch is in the right position and if I go to spot view, it's blinking. He asks that about a number of other things during the preflight checklists as well.I don't know if he would continue that during flight, as I had to abort before engine start because I probably set something up wrong and lost all power when I removed the ground power cart before pushback (a tutorial…

Anyone else notice that our nosey FO wants to change my CDU page off of the selected (and correct) takeoff ref, and sets it to the main menu page? He does this after his FMC setup verification. I'll have to speak to Personnel if this keeps up ;)Regards,George

Hi Bryan, looking forward to your reply from my pm earlier.I have noticed that the recorded sounds for UK captain/FO you can hear the 'mouse click' to end the recording on the pc. It just means they haven't been cut properly.Can this be addressed for SP1?Alex

I have FS2Crew for both the NGX and the J41. The instructions for both state that when calling out altitudes, you should say something like "One thousand two hundred". On my system, that has never worked, so I say "One two hundred". It will give me what I want when I do this. Another example is for altitude 15200, I will say "One five two hundred". My question is, is there something wrong on my system, or are the instructions incorrect?

Loving Fs2Crew! Great job by all! Just a quick question regarding fs2crew and gsx. Do you have to use GSX's pushback or can you use the built in pushback with Fs2crew? I installed FS2Crew and now FSINN will not connect with Vatsim. Squawkbox works but not FSINN. Only problem is that I'm not a Squawkbox fan. AAre FS2Crew and FSINN incompatible?Thanks
