Voice Control Version

I have been beta testing another addon, so I am finally getting ready to use FS2Crew for my J41 flights.I have a question regaring the Timer in the Config panel though.When will this Timer start to count down? Only when pressing PF?I think the FS2Crew ATR had a running timer at start up, but does FS2Crew J41 have a 'linear' procedure, so that you as the pilot are responsible for events to occur at the right time?

Well, after two short attempts I need to verify how my Win XP settings should be set. I have a normal soundcard and bought a USB headset with a built-in soundcard, Steelseries 3H. The Windows settings have for some reason changed around between my few attempts at trying out the FS2C J41 thingy.If I go to the Sound settings in Windows I should have the normal soundcard enabled under Audio/Sound playback and Sound Recording? Moving to the Voice tab I should have the USB headset under Voice playback and Voice recording?In MSFS Sound settings I choose the soundcard for Sound and USB Headset for Voice?And finally, yes I´ve pushed the HS button and selected the USB headset in t…

Hey Bryan!After being away from flying, both sim and IRL due to producing and raising a couple of kids I´m now getting back in the game. The sim part will probably not see me that much, focusing on the IRL stuff instead, but when I browsed around the Avsim I quickly noted your J41 stuff which not only lit my fire but also had me go and buy a new USB headset (if my wife finds out I´m blaming you). Hi everyone!I know it has been asked before but I was wondering if there is any video(s) showing the voice controlled FS2Crew in use with the J41? Would be great while learning to see how things should be done. I read in some other post which I couldn't find now that maybe you Bryan are working on a video?

I've just starting to learn how to use FS2crew and have fumbled my way through a couple of flights. One thing I've noticed has me puzzled; after loading the J41, my default F11 and F12 views do not work, ie the spot and top down view. Now I didn't have the problem before installing FScrew and I can restore the function by closing and restarting FSX, but as soon as I run J41/FSCrew, the keyboard F11/F12 doesn't work. I can select the views using the menu however. Looks like some kind of interaction is going on with FS2crew, so just wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I noticed the copilot will turn off the landing lights during the after takeoff flow.I think it is common practise to leave the landing lights on until 10,000 feet. FS passengers always takes off points for turning off the landing lights under 10,000 feet.Can this be fixed in the next patch or at least have an option where we can control the lights.

Hi there Guys. Hope I'm not speaking out of topic here but have been using this great program for a while now and the only thing I miss is the ability to use voice reconition to control ATC due to the not being able to activate the speech engine. I have W7 Ultimate as an operating system does anyone know about a work around? That they are willing to share (payware would be fine).RegardsMichael

Hey again!I recognized that in the after landing flow the copilot sets the pilot's windshield heat to EMERG instead OFF everytime. Not a big thing, but I thought it might could easisly corrected in a future update.Another global idea would be a point in the departure checklist (which is not seen on the checklists):When getting to "the line", you usually hold there until stating "line up & wait/ cleared for t/o". Then you start lining up. Both pilots now visually check their sides for any other traffic and report "my side is free/clear" or something similar. It would add some more realism in this phase. Hi,first of all congrats to this really great product! I got around 450 hrs on the Jetstream now, and this one adds a whole new experience of flying. I've done quite a couple of flights with FS2Crew now, and I'm very satisfied, although I also was used to "line up and wait" and "decimal" instead of "point", well, wannabeeagle pointed it out a bit earlier. Today I wanted to train some missed approaches, so I set up bad, bumpy, foggy weather. First approach, everything was fine, going around, correct checklists and procedures.Second approach also no problem. i have problems with the TORQUE when i try to takeoff and i say TAKEOFF ROLL the airplane start to increase the speed it mantains in 39 and the THROTTLE work only to the 22% but lever is to the bottom it only happens in engine number 1 and i dont know how to fix itthnks

Hi, all.Firstly, GREAT product! And Im a great fan of developers who listen for requests from the customers. I am a novice FS2Crew user and maybe I have missed out on something, but is there a way to hear your FO like he was actually talking into a crew mic? Aircrews actually use their microphones for internal communication, you know :( Sound carried in the audio system in cockpits (and telephones..) attenuates frequencies outside the range of 1kHz-5kHz since they are not important in understanding the human voice. The default MSFS ATC voice sounds something similar. I would like the same effect in FS2Crew :( I suppose I could take the associated files into my Pro Tool…

Installed FS2Crew last night, love the program..great job. I haven't run across any issues until I noticed that the FMS pop-up window (Shift+3 by default) is no longer interactable/clickable. It shows the correct panel .bmp per the panel file but for some reason the gauge itself has ceased to work. I can however operate the FMS/AP by clicking while in the VC, but when I open the pop-up via the shift command, the FMS is blank..and the turn knob is missing. Any other folks with this issue?Chris

Hello,I will start at the begining when i press for preflight (30 mins), the FO does his cold the dark cockpit, and then go's outside and returns at this point a can hear the FO, now the 1st problem starts when i say "ARE YOU READY FOR THE DEPARTURE BRIEF" and "ARE YOU READY FOR THE CLEARANCE BRIEF" FS2crew doesnt recognize what i said. the 2nd problem then starts as i hear no more voice from the crew or copilot, eg. if a say "TURN CHECK" it shows in the green bar but no FO voice. If can say the checklist items,. Then the FS2crew main panel changes to engine start check.I have done the voice training 11 times nowConor Mulvenna.

In an attempt to give the Copilot the start command he counters with "check throttle position". I have put the throttles in every conceivable position and still the same results. What am I doing wrong? Besides that this is my first FS2Crew product and I am loving it.TksRichard Churchill

:( I can hear the FO's voice and all background sounds,but whenever I speak into the microphone, I get no response. Have done all the voice training and as I have WINDOWS XP, have d/loaded SAPI. In the Speech Properties and under Advanced Audio Properties, I have selected "Use this audio input line" and selected "microphone"..is this correct?

I have a strange problem with the audio. I lose the copilots voice after 30 minutes or so of flying.The copilot continues to perform actions though, such as wipers and such but I can no longer hear him. All the other sounds work ok. I am thinking a hardware issue? Gigabyte GA965p s3 MB with onboard audio Realtek ALC883. I have updated the drivers with the newest version with no change. Updated the bios also, no change.I use a USB mic and headset along with the onboard audio and have tried selecting either one but once I lose the copilot, it doesnt matter which device I select.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello fellow users,I'm really liking this program the more that I use it.I have encounter the same problem on every flight I've taken.The "Approach Items" works fine and I do hear the fo call Approach Set up Complete. I then call "Any Questions" and get no.OK - When I call "Descent Approach Check Please", the speech recognition says crazy things like set to five five five or other things.I "have" trained the speech recognition program extensively. I've said it fast, slow, medium, but still it won't recognize the command.......and of course, I surmise that's the reason it won go ahead and move to "Transition Level" segment until the Descent Approach is completed????Any id…

Hi bryan just downloaded it the other day and makes flying the js41 so much easy. The only problem i have got is a minor one at that everything else works except the out of reverse, conditon levers to taxi. I have done two flights now and the fo wont reconize the command so i have to skip the roll out out mode and go to the shut down mode which is nobig deal. So was wondering what iiam doing wrong i give the command in roll out mode after the fo says 70 knots than i pull the throttles out of reverse the green light goes out than i give the command but no reply from the fo. will do more voice tr…

Hi Guy's Have been trying to get through several start up procedures with this product and from what I've seen so far this is the best Co-pilot experience in a flight sim to date.I seem to have a problem with windows 7 speech engine executing applications outside of the game which in turn is causing flight sim to crash i.e."Start engine left" tends to open the start menu of windows and when I called out "Before start check please" the PC opened an Adobe version of the Before start check from the AOM. Hey I just bought the voice commander for my js41, wow looks awesome, I love the fact that you can get her cold & dark with the press of a button. One problem off the bat is my middle mouse button will not bring up the Panel Selector (aircraft is powered :() I did the work around right clicking on the LK but Im not using walk and follow or anything. A question about the ALT Standard pressure and ALT reset, can't I just press the B button in fsx when going above or below TL just wondering.

HII will aks again...when is the Klick Version comming? I use all the FS2Crew Addons and I love them all. The only one's I dont use are the voice addons.
