My flights so far using FS2Crew have involved ILS or visual approaches so I haven't needed to set the MDA in the FS2Crew Config Panel. Today I thought I'd try a Non Precision Approach so I went to the FS2Crew Config Panel and set NP as the approach type but when tried using the mouse wheel to set the MDA it wouldn't change. The MDA was set to my current altitude and as I descended the MDA continually matched the descending attitude.According to the manual the approach type and MDA is set during the descent preparation prior to TOD but I couldn't get the MDA set. I'm sure I have done something wrong at my end and it's probably something simple I've overlooked so if anyone …

Hi,I'm after first full flight with new crew member in my cockpit. All was quite succesfull, fantastic experience.One question arised for me after my silly mistake. When flying approach in heading mode I was about to turn right for racetrack, turn was more than 180deg (from about 250 to 090). So I said 'bug heading 090'. FO confirmed and AP turned to ...left. It would be natural for me, when doing it myself, to turn the knob clockwise and make right turn. So, is it possible to make FO turn the knob in particular direction when changing heading by more than 180deg? Bryan,The last time I purchased Fs2Crew 737 Voice command, I only utilized three times, although I liked the concept. This week I purchased the Fs2Crew PMDG J41 Voice version. My first impression was fantastic. I managed a flight, but I did not complete the flight. G'day Bryan,A voice command I noticed missing from the manual under the Autopilot section is "Bug Altitude". According to the AOM (Ch 8.6 page 5) Prop Syncro should be off for take off and landing. The FO ensures this switch is off during the pre-flight prep and as part of the after takeoff flow the FO will turn it on however the FO does not turn it off during the approach prior to landing. Is it my responsibility to turn the Prop Synco off prior to landing?What's strange is that I cannot find the task to turn it off prior to landing in the checklists so it is either missing, I'm blind or the AOM is incorrect.Anyone know the answer?Cheers,Serge

I was cruising at FL250..the max Alt. for the JS41 and the F/O kept telling me to watch my altitude and that the max was FL250 lol. I was approaching YBBN tonight on the SINKKA 5 Arrival and turing to final I ask the F/O to AMR Appraoch then asked for Nav because I didn't have the Localizer captured yet 9part of SOP's is to have NAV then capture the LOC then ask for APP)...soon as I asked for APP I got a CTD...g3d.dll Falult. As at least some of you are aware, the coding for FS2Crew has the FO simply advancing throttles to full open. This is not a knock against FS2Crew, as it's the only reasonable way to code it. However, at some higher elevations and higher OAT's, this can exceed maximum EGT. It sure would be nice if the FO could set the engines without blowing EGT though so that you can concentrate on steering down the runway.My thought was that if we could set a hard torque limit on the engines, then even if the FO advanced the throttles fully, the torque limit would stop the application of power before exceeding EGT's. Trying to do first full flight and hit a wall. First: how do you spell NAV? every time I try to change to NAV in recognizes NO, have to press it myself.Second: Can't recognize heading commands, most of the time it can't understand anyting, I say two four zero and it sets 040 or somethig similarThird: after missed approach it went blank and wouldn't let me try again.I did go through voice recognition training in control panel. Hi,I just had my first flight in the Jetstream AND my first flight with Fs2Crew. It was great, although I spent more time reading manuals than flying :DI had a few problems though, the most irritating is the one I hinted at in the subject. Apparently windows tries to recognize some commands and then try to execute them and that is sooo irritating. For instance, when I have to answer "Closed" in the Before Start Checklist, more often than not windows decide that what I want to do is close the flight simulator (it probably thought I said "close"). In other situations, it grabs the word "Start" and opens the Start menu. Is there a way to stop this?The speech recognition work…

Bryan,I've noticed that the FO isn't quite perfect on appropriate situations to call glideslope deviations. In particular, I've noted two different instances.1. You have not yet intercepted the G/S, but at some point started a "descent". While handflying it's not uncommon for me to at moments end up with a 1-200 fpm descent. The end result is usually altitude deviations <20ft total by the time I correct, but it seems that if the G/S was alive when this happened, the FO believes you've intercepted the G/S and starts calling "glideslope deviation" as you continue to fly level waiting to truly intercept the glideslope (i.e., the FO now believes you are below the glides…

The manual doesn't tell me how to order a cup of coffee.If I press the FA button and order 'one coffee please' the FA brings me a virtual cup (and knocks on the door).Is there a list of FA requests in the manual. Or as usual did I not read it all?ThanksPeter

First of all thanks, this is just perfect in every which way. Couple questions though. TURN CHECK has an item called; FMS/RADIOS - SET....how am I suppose to set the FMS/RADIO's if the Engines arn't started and therefore the Avionics switch is off.....even if I turn them On do my thing and then shut them off before I start the engines everything will reset once I turn the Avisonics back on. I'm guessing I'm suppose to be using GPU Power + Avionics on then start one engine then turn the GEN on then turn off the GPU then start the other engine? The FS2Crew for the JS41 is everything I expected it to be and more.I even got told off for calling for the checklist before the doors were closed!The voice control is so much better than pressing all those buttons.There's a lot of learning for me to do, but thanks Bryan. Hi,I'm getting severe memory leaks with this. If I start from KFHR I can fly for about 30min before I get a OOM error. If I start from places like ENZV or ENTO I cannot even complete the TURN checks before a OOM error occurs. Wonderful addon BTW, immersion is very very much enhanced and the voice recognition work 100%. Win7 Enterprise 32bit with 4GB ram. Where should I mail the black box data stuff to?
