Just picked up JS41 Voice Control this past weekend, first FS2CREW product for me. My overall reaction after setting everything up and going through a couple of flights – WOW! This really does take the sim experience to a new level! The documentation was pretty straight forward, and found searching the forum for the few issues I had netted results pretty quick. The process of learning the flows and practicing the correct commands/responses will take some time – but that challenge is certainly what makes the product great! There are 2 or 3 custom flow sheets on Avsim that folks have drafted up that are really helpful. The only two areas that I need a bit of assistance with:…

Afternoon guys- I just jumped back into some bigger tin as I have been flying GA for the past couple of years. J41 + FS2Crew was my most recent purchase and I am really enjoying the challenge. Question - Prior to FS2Crew I would get callouts from the first office on the start locks removed. With FS2, I no longer get these callouts when I remove the start locks prior to t/o power. 1) Is FS2 suppose to make that call also? 2) Does FS2 over ride all default J41 callouts? Thanks in advance- Benjamin.

Some time ago I found a checklist at another site for flying the J41 using FS2Crew and it helped me alot when I was trying to learn all the flows. Since then I have further developed the checklist and I now have what I belive is a very correct "guide" for flying the J41 using FS2Crew. Also included is the normal ATC communication like reqeuest startup clearence, request taxi and so on.Since some parts of it include text from the original FS2Crew documentation I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share it with you guys but if it would be OK I would be happy to send it to anyone interested in trying it out. Maybe I could send it over to you Bryan first so you can check it out?

Hi there, I recently purchased the j41 voice commander edition, after hesitating with the button edition. The goal was finaly to get rid of a certain amount of mouse-clicking and monitoring, in order to concentrate on the flying part. My system and voice recognition device are in french, and i've been looking for a way to turn it into US and found this link : http://www.intowindo...7-home-premium/ I am going to try it tonight, and then let you know if it did work or not. I guess if it doesn't work i will have to purchase a US version of win 7 ? But now is the real issue : Since I installed FS2crew, my ATC sound is gone, and each time i get an ATC message (the window pops…

Hello Forum! First of all: what a joy when two brilliant instances merge into a final product that blows my brains out (probably forgot some setting there).Congratulations and many thanks! One tiny issue though: I could not update my panel config through the PMDG manager. Did everything possible to let it work but it didn't.Had to copy and past it and all is fine now but still...Sure as I am that I'm not the only one with this mind teasing problem I just want to mention it. Tried to figure it out so did the cold and dark checks and one thing was a bit off: when I mouse-hover over the config manager icon on the task bar of Fs2Crew it displays: Fs2 Crew 2010 Leonardo Mad Do…

The Postman always rings twice, so here is my second post. Reading the in depth manual and trying to connect that info with practice it dazzled me. Fortunately there was a good man who gathered and arranged the information in a, well, checklist manner (search for -fs2crew j41 checklist- on AVSIM). It would have been nice if ... well no it wouldn't as we have to get into it real deep to get the real simulation.Anyway, I've thought of a solution to implement the checklist into the simulator without going back and forth. So here it is: I use the -not used- FSX checklists. Downloaded a HTML converter (Nvu, free ware, google it, though I am sure a proper wordprocessor can do …

The Co-Pilot keeps telling me that my prop is not unfeathered, but I am actually quiet sure it is, partly because I can't unfeather it anymore with the unfeather switch. So what is wrong? I reinstallt the J-41 as well as FS2Crew.I attached a pic of how my prop is while trying to start with FS2Crew. It actually works flawless, if I start it myself (just pressing the start-button).What now?EDIT: I already tried with the props exactly the other way didn't work either.Greetings Stefan Rakel

Hi!Rather disapointing start!Bought from PMDG the J41 and for € 6 more (that's a minor complaint) FS2Crew.I am a Windows 7 64 bit user.1.The manual has no image where I have to look for. FS2 Crew Main Panel?2. I am in Windows mode3. Power is on4. Open panel.cfg file? Clear for you, but I have 15 minutes to search for it . Result no gauge entries.5. Run Registry Tool? Where? Not in Fs2Crew 2010.6. Speech regognizer. Where?7. THE AIRCRAFT MUST HAVE POWER FOR THE FS2CREW CLICK AREA TO WORK ON THE WEATHER RADAR PANEL!!! In big bold red. No idea what to do with it. The gauge is inoperable.I have the impression that the FS2Crew is harder to learn than to fly the J41!Hope you…

I just built a new computer and it screams. However I had to reinstall all my flightsim addons. These guys were the fastest on response for help and advise right out of the gate GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. After my install I'm getting variable levels on the voice. The responses are normal for awhile then a get a voice blast at high volume. I've configured my audio and mike several times so I've run out of ideas. Any ideas to help cure this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,CaptMacDon McDaniel

Recently got the VrInsight MCP Combo. Now the fs2crew does not recognize my voice at all. No green bar. I suspect it is a serial port issue. I have to use serial port 2, 3 and 4 for the MCP to work.Where can I change the serial port of fs2crew?Do you have another solution? Thanks.

Hi,1 month ago I bought the J41 PDMG also purchased and installed the fs2 the same day and 2 programs. I worked all this time to learn all the functions of the J41. It's time to work on the operation of opening the fs2. I open the fs2 configuration I run the fsx, I run the J41 and if I have the cocpit view , I try to left click to the radar area.Nothing. Right click.Nothing. Central click .Nothing. Please because I am not a professional to figure out what to do, give me simply step by step, just what to do. I would be very pleased to have the detailed advice you. Thanks.Chronis Papamichael

Hi Bryan,I have experienced the following incident the last two flights on the same route:The flight is short approx. 70 nm., so my cruising altitude is set at 9000 ft.After Descent preparations my FO reports 'Approach setup complete' and right after announces 'Flight Level 100', although we are still at 9000 ft.

My first officer constantly thinks I am saying approach during a flight. In an hour flight, he will select approach about 20 times, which I have to deselect so the altitude capture works.I am not saying anything when this happens, completly silent. Approach seems to be the only command that is false. What am I doing wrong or any tips to prevent this.

Byork, I've been enjoying your voice edition immensely for some time now, but there's one area I'm uncertain about. In both the 'taxi check' and 'descent approach check', there is the altimeters to be stated verbally before the FO continues. I understand it to be where I should answer as "2992 checked" or something similar. The FO does not continue after my callout, and he will not unless I state "next". Am I doing something incorrectly here, or what would you recommend I say for the FO to quickly acknowledge my altimeter check?

Recently I had some problems with the J-41 and with the help of the nice people at PMDG we got it up and running again. It required installation of a new .dll file. After the reinstall I attempted to use my voice FS2 and it would not work. I uninstalled and reinstalled the product along with the service update and it still will not work. Any ideas? Thanks

One thing I've noticed is that whenever I press the key combo I've assigned to bring up the FS Marshaller panel it does pop up but when I move the mouse to click on some of the marshaller actions the panel disappears by itself and I then have to press the key combo a second time to bring it up again and then it stays on screen - it's always on the first attempt I see this problem. Is it just me or is this an already known issue? Only a minor problem but would be nice if there is a way to fix it.

Hi allI am still in the learning curve with the JS41+FS2 CREW....the issue I have got today at the end of a flight is that (for unknown raison) I lost the keyboard inputs...:((to be clear the keys does not correspond to what they are supposed to be...)This is when I wanted to pause FSX in order to read again the procedure of FS2 CREW + JS41 in final ....I could not stop it whatever pressing "P" or "pause"After landing I restarted the computer and try again:Now each time I load the JS41+FS2 crew after the default flight, then I loose the keyboard inputs. This is reccurent.I do not know what I did wrong to get such a problem. But this is really ennoying I can not use the key…

I'm so frustrated with this product. I've set it up according to the manual, read the entire manual about 5 times, downloaded the patch, restarted my PC and FSX a dozen times, set the configuration items correctly but still I can't get the FO to say a word. The Flight Attendant comes through loud and clear, but the FO is MIA. What's going on?Mike

quick one: does in the speech version the FO handle also buttons and flaps, spoilers etc?I see videos here and there where flaps levers in the cockpit are moving after the flying pilot says something like flaps10 but is this done by the FO or me? I mean, is FS2Crew mainly for checklists and cockpit chatter or does the FO also really (inter)act and push buttons? have to admit that I once bought the FS2Crew version for the default B737 in FSX but never made it beyond going through checklists, let alone make the FO raise the gear or flaps :-).thanks for any clarificationphil

Hi,Just downloaded the Jetstream and found out after installing I have no speech recognition on my Dutch Win 7 64-bit Home Premium.[Translated] message: "Windows Speech recognition is not available for your language."Its probably something I have to install manually, but if someone here knows how to install or setup an english version I would be grateful if you can share the knowledge.Greetings,E WijngaardenEdit: I found this in the Maddog Forum:You can only install the English language pack if using Win 7 Ultimate.Only option is: Upgrade to Ultimate, or get an English version of Win 7 Home/Pro, use XP or try Vistalizator:http://www.froggie.sk/download.htmlBest,BryanLimit…
