PMDG 737 NG (Legacy Version)

I have no keystroke setting or option for getting rid of the VC's yoke. CTRL+Y simply isnt in the list.When I click on the "About" tab it tells me that I am using "PMDG Options Module Version 1.03 (Service Update 3) 14th January 2004.How do I lose the yoke so I can see the FMC??-------------------------------------------------------------------------When I select any of the 737NG's it says V1.2 in the description to the right.My original purchase date is 7/21/2005 and it has not been updated since.I have ONLY the 737 600 & 700 series.-------------------------------------------------------------------------ThanksRob Petersen

Hi all, i have a problem that many 737 pilots already head: ROUTE DISCONTINUITIES. I read a lot of stuff in the forums. Here my special case: I am standing at the gate in Hamburg, programming the route into the FMC. The route starts as follows: BASUM DCT OSN DCT DOM... OK. I inserted the Waypoint BASUM, OSN, DOM etc. in the FMCs ROUTE page. Now i listen to ATIS and know what runway is activ. I want to add the SIDs waypoints into the FMC (because the departure route i wanna fly isn't in the database). The route leads via HAM (NDB). In the vincinity also an VOR HAM exists. I go to the legs page, insert HAM into they scratchpad, click onthe the LSK 2L (OSN is d…

I managed to find the 737 600-900 software on eBay, brand new in package and received it today. I already had the standalone 600-700. Anyway, everything is great except when I'm clicking the number keys on the CDU using my mouse, from 789 to the end it types the wrong characters. I can type them in as normal via my keyboard, but the actual button when clicked put the wrong number in. 7, 8 and 9 produce 4, 5 and 6 on the CDU, while ., 0 and / produce 789. All other buttons seem to be correct. Also, when looking at the overhead and clicking M, the overhead stays open instead of taking you back to the main. Hi All, I'm getting back into FS after a break and am having a small problem. In the NG-700, the radio appears to be turned on and I can change frequencies, but when I actually try to use the radio to talk with FS ATC or get the ATIS, I get nothing at all. If I push the button to select the ATIS, the frequency does change on the stack, but nothing else happens. Likewise, if I try to contact ATC, I push the button but nothing comes from my radio to contact ATC and I get no response either. Wondering if there's some little thing that needs fixed that I'm not thinking of. I'm still trying to learn all the things I forgot from before. Any advice would be appreciated. …

I recently got a new laptop running W8.1 OS, after install FS9 and some add-ons, including B737NG and last AIRAC I get (1309 -yes, I know, a litlte bit old-) B73X was loaded, FMC was open to introduce the flight and I became shocked when no SID nor STARS were depicted in FMC screen, even the departure rwy for Malaga (LEMG) had the old designator (14) instead of new one (13), updated three years ago. Checking FMC features I realized it shows the default AIRAC (0313) not recent AIRAC loaded (1309) I tried installing and reinstalling different airac's cycles but nothing new happen, still 0313 was on. Hello When FMC requires drag, I press the forward slash down. When no more drag is required, the message diasappears, and I can retract the spoilers. I press the forward slash down again, but, very often, the spoilers don't retract. Retraction is erratic. Some few times it works, but generally it does'nt. Therefore, I must open the Throttle panel, and manually pull up the command, then close the T panel. It's very disturbing to add this command in the various approach maneuvers, as much as I have a one-screen cfg! Anybody can help me to easily retrieve the spoilers?

I have had pmdg 737ng for a number of years with no problems, recently my FMC approach headings are off by the mag/declination of the airport, at KLAS 25L Fmc gives the heading 270 degrees from PRINO to 25L. It has always been 256 degrees before. I have checked mag/dec file and updated with no help, when I disabled mag/dec it moved rwy heading to 242 degrees but FMC still gave heading from PRINO to rwy as 270 degrees??? I did not have this problem before I installed FSX and X-10 demo, Is there a connection with those installs?? FS9 flight planner seem to have right headings. Thanks George Wallace

Hello When flying, VORs and ADFs identification on the ND are listed in green or blue characters just under the distance, but named DME1, DME2, ADF1 or ADF2 (without any distance !) only. I would prefer to get their ICAO code right away instead, which would help to quickly know where I'm along the flight progress. I've seen it on a real AIRBUS. I did not chanced yet to check in a BOEING. So, is it possible to get it on the B 737 PMDG for FS 9?

I have been flying this bird for years and suddenly it is taking forever to load the FMC. The first few inputs go in fine then it takes somethimes a full minute to accept each input that folows. What could be causing this? Ted Kennedy

After many years of use I had to reinstall win 7. I also had to reinstall the PMDG 737 NG. The install program ran perfectly, but there is a problem. The aircraft does not show up in the control panel installed program list and I cannot open the aircraft cfg. file, but it DOES show up in FS9. What happened? Idea ideas would be appreciated. I am having problem finding the software to download the model after I have a clean larger Hard Drive and wanted to download the software, I tried to get through the PMDG website and apparently couldn't find anything on it perhaps it was discontinued. I am still using FS9 and amy happy with it, any clue where I can download the software?

Is it possible (and legal) for someone to make an addition to the external model of the PMDG 737NG to add the radar fin that is so prominent on the Wedgetail for FS9? Just wondering.

Hey! I fly FS9 since it came out, and have lots of aircraft. I have also the PMDG 737-700NG. With all tutorials I've found on the flightsim intenet I don't succeed at all in starting up that aicraft from cold and dark to take off to land and back to cold and dark, and well in accordance with all that is told and explained in these various tutorials . Is it really possible, that is what I wonder, setting up everything in that aircraft that should be done in order to do a perfect startup and all the rest according to the rules? I didnt' find no two tutorials that follow the same setup order, all are somewhat different, and in many of these tutorials things just don't …

The popup window for the FMC has always been too short for the size of the FMC. I see the entire FMC but it appears "squashed" into a length that is too short. When I press the "8" key a "5" shows up in the scratchpad. Press "0" and I get "8". I have gotten around this issue by simply finding the lower edge of the FMC Window with my cursor and making the window longer. Then all the keys work correctly. I had hoped the window size would be saved, but the next time I load the 737 it's back to being too short. I thought maybe I could edit the panel.cfg file and make the FMC window larger that way, but the changes I make don't seem to be saved. I use Windows XP…

I use Flightsim Commander to produce PMDG flight plans and they are stored in the \FS9\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS folder with a *.PLN extension. However, when i click INDEX>NAVDATA>FLIGHTPLANS in the FMC there are no flight plans listed. Both the PMDG software and Flightsim Commander have the latest NAVIGRAPH updates. This is a Windows 7 system. Flightsim Commander was installed to C:\FSC not \Programfiles(x86), so I don't think that is the problem. A real mystery because it was working just a couple of days ago! Am I storing the flightplans in the correct folder? Can someone suggest something else that may solve the problem?

Good afternoon,I'm having a lot of fun working with the FMC - starting to actually figure things out - thanks to all the help here. I filed a plan from CYUL - CYHZ. I selected a STAR and approach for ILS-23. I noticed a couple things that I didn't see in the manual.- when you select the approach (and sometimes the STAR) there is an option in the FMC for TRANS. What is that exactly?- once I had my approach planned, there is a line in the FMC that says VECTOR ---/----. What should I be placing there?Thanks once again. Cheers,Colin Gray

Hi Everyone, It's been a few years since I played Flight Simulator 9 and the great PMDG 737 model. I'm finding my feet again with using the systems etc At some stage in the future I would like to do some online flying again. However I notice the current AIRAC Cycle in use on my aircraft is 0313 (very old indeed). As I understand you must update the FMS Data with Navigraph. My question is, if I download the latest AIRAC (1401) it will obviously update my FMC with new information (airways, fixes, vor's etc) but will it update it with new SID'S and Star's also? Or is there something else I need to purchase? At the moment I am doing a lot of offline flying out…

Having an issue with 737 FMC keypad - the row of digits 7, 8 & 9 do not work - When depressing 7, the number 4 results, depressing 8 results in number 5 and so forth. As for the last row, depressing 0 results in number 8 - depressing # results in number 9 ..... Anyone have this problem and how was it resolved , Thanks, Gene
