Is it usual to have differences between the altitude readout on the PFD and the altitude indicated on the standby altimeter? With a QNH of 29.92, they both start out indicating the same readout, but as the altitude increases, the two no longer indicate the same readings. At FL240, the difference is about 300ft and increasing. The readings start to slowly diverge at about FL100.Michael Hesse

Captains,Transavia, Aloha Airlines, easyJet and Air Berlin are now available on the main downloads page. Also, you can now download a SIDSTAR database for the FMC. After downloading the file, just unzip all files into your FS2002/PMDG/SIDSTARS folder. Thanks to our beta tester TJ for helping with this!http://www.precisionmanuals.com

Hi Guys, I'm having random problems with the autopilot control panel operations. I have not been using the FMC on my flights. At the beginning or the middle of the flight the switches stop operating. I can see the indicators on the PFD change, but the lighted buttons, switches and digital indicators on the panel will not change. The auto throttle will jam, not allowing me to manually control throttle. Any suggestions would be appreciated.mouseWin XP homePIII 1.2560 RAMRadeon 7200 RAM 64

If the plane deviates from the FP introduced in FMC (like after a DCT). The TOC mark is not indicated in the new magenta line but where was originally.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/21567.jpgJos

Hi guys,I've made a number of flights now and on the one hand I'm impressed with a number of details which lead me to believe that this is a potential winner. However, there are still a number of issues to be dealt with, as PMDG will readily admit. One point that I would like to address is the odd or in my opinion undesirable way a number of buttons behave in various situations.- Undesirable automatic button behaviour: a number of times I see buttons on the overhead panel move by themselves. Take for instance the APU bleed switch, on an number of occasions it will trip to off when I switch the APU to off. I could get two of the window heat switches to trip to off by fiddli…

Just for the information of everyone interested in the Westjet livery and PMDG Westjet has announced that starting in September all of its fleet of 737-700's will be retrofitted with the winglets. But we flightsimmers can fly them before the real Westjet pilots do. Unfortunately they get paid a lot of money to fly theirs!:-yellow1Regards,Richard RoweCA342019

While flying an A-321 from Phoenix to Denver I throught I would share my experience on a flight from Denver to Atlanta in the PMDG 737NG. I based my comparison of this aircraft's functionality to what is found in Dramfleets' 737.I must say PMDG has done a superb job despite all the itmes that either fell through Beta or were never discovered until wide disseminationto cistomers. Following the DF737 checklist, I have noticed several items need addressing and have listed them below.*1. No Galley Power Switch*2. Wing Body Overheat Inop*3. AC/DC Meters panel Test Inop*4. Airstairs inop (not a DF item) even when assigning concorde nose*5. CVR inop*6. Leading Edge flaps left o…

Hi~First off the plane is AMAZING. I love it, and have had a ball with it the past few days!! But, (you knew that was coming) I installed the SWA livery, and when I try to select in MSFS, it's not there. Did I miss something here? After the install is completed it says it did it correctly. Thanks Tim:-doh

I have sveral different intefaces up and running in my real cockpit and all the stock fs2k2 commands work the appropriate items on the PMDG's 737. It's nice being able to flip the battery on with the real thing in the overhead, turn the pumps on, open the start valve, then flip the fuel cut-off valve up to bring her to life! All on the real controls. Now if I could just get my MCP interfaced! :)Thanks PMDG for a great up and coming new prject!Rob

I'm having difficulty getting the 737 to take off at Luton Airport (UK) as it seems to need the full runway length and max thrust, flaps at 5, and won't rotate below 150+ knots. No passengers but full fuel tanks (i.e. easyJet -700 default set up) and Luton runway length is 7087 feet.If the take-off speed is correct, is the acceleration too slow?Any help/comments appreciated.Toni.

  17. Can someone please tell were the TOGA switch is. I have set up the FMC and the vref speeds how do I get the aircraft to maintain these speeds.Andrew.

I've enjoyed flying around in the 737TNG using the auto-pilot, and now I'm ready to try out the FMC. To do this I assume I need to first download the NavData from Richard Stefan's website at www.navdata.at. Because I've never done this before I must first register so that I can logon. How do I do this? I see nothing on the web-page at www.navdata.at that would enable me to register with the service or even to log on. The only link that works on this page is the one to PayPal. I made a donation thinking it would lead to a registration page but it didn't - so now I'm feeling somewhat ripped off because I've handed over some of my hard earned cash and have nothing to show fo…

It seems as though some SIDs and probably STARS have errors steming from inproperly defined NAVAIDS. Usually with 'soft' waypoints (sorry if thats a non english terminology) such as MCT06 on NOKIN1S from Manchester or D298B on DEENA1FS from LLBG.These waypoints end up thousends of miles away from where they are supposed to be, maybe due to another waypoint with a similar name.In any case, these and other SID/STARS are corrupt. Is there a way to fix this? some kind of small utility to detect "ilogical" procedures?Thanx//Mike

Greetings,I've been trying to get the 737 into the air and have been unsuccessful getting the A/T to work properly and wanted to know what step I'm missing. Everything else on the plane seems to work as expected. Here's what I'm doing: I use the FMC to input a flight plan, even though the aircraft should be able to use the A/T without one, right? When I try to activate the A/T on the ground, "arm" flashes briefly on the PFD, but the switch flicks back to the off position. I also can not get the N1 button to light up or work. In the DF737 and the PIC 767, all that was required to activate the A/T was to click the button. Is the procedure different for this aircraft? Since…

I'm fairly new to flying commercials so I have tried to start the 737 from cold using the Beginners Tutorial. All systems off at start. From the Beginners tutorial I switch on the Battery Master switch. I get a repeating loud warning sound which I can't turn off no matter what I do. Even switching off the Battery Master switch doesn't get rid of it which is strange because theoretically there is then no power to the plane(APU or ground power not on). Is this a bug?BTW tried switching off the Master Warning Switch with no effect.Alan

I'm at work presently so the numbers I quote here are approximate. I configured the load manager for a 4 hour flight in my COA 737-724 KIAH-KSFO. I added the passengers (7 First Class and 88 in Coach) then the cargo load at around 60% for both front and back. The numbers told me that I could only carry a maximum load of around 13,000 lb of fuel. That didn't calculate out to a 4 hour flight to me so I had to reduce both the cargo and pax to allow me a load of 23,000 # of fuel. (Now, 23,000 pounds may be too much, I know, but I was just guessing here)My question is this: Aloha flies from Honolulu to the mainland in the -700 and that's at least a 5 hour flight to KSNA.…
