FS2CREW: LEONARDO MADDOG (Legacy Version)

  1. Started by c402_cvs,

When using Active Sky with ignition set to a or b I still get random flame outs on the motors. If I set ignition to both it does not happen. Can a 'ignition both' command be added so ignition can be switched on for occasions flying through vis moisture or on the take off part?

I bought FS2Crew for the MD80 yesterday and am having a blast with it. Really fantastic work!Anyhow, my only problem so far is that I can't seem to get the mute button to work. I have tried a number of different keystrokes from the dropdown and it never seems to do anything in the sim (e.g., the little M symbol never shows up). I made sure that no other key in FS was assigned to the keystroke I selected. I also looked in the FS2CrewInputMapper.CFG file and it looks like the keystroke is correctly entered there. Any idea what might be causing the problem? Thanks!

Hi,I am a satisfied user of FS2crew for PMDG747 and I am looking forward to try out the one for the Leonardo MD80.The voice commander feature seems such great! However I did read that some language options have to be modified for the voice recognition to work. I first read that only the voice recognition option has to be set to English, but I then read that the whole OS has to be set to English. What is true? In fact I can not change my OS from japanese to english because if I do I will lose the japanese ideograms and I need them:Thinking: What can I expect?Best regards,Pierre

Hello,While I'm at the gate and setting up my navigation aids for departure, the FO seems to have turned off the no.2 ADF. I know that he's supposed to run a test on the ADF's during his flow, but the no.2 ADF is impossible to turn back on. I am running the Maddog from a cold and dark state. Any clues?Regards,Kyrre AndersenNorway

  7. Hi,I'm considering to buy Call for MD80 and I wonder if it can be operated by defining a PTT button. This is essential for my FS2004 setup.I run SB on a remote PC, so I will have to buy a clip-microphone as suggested. The issue is however that SB is operated using a wireless keypad that is connected to my remote PC.So if I talk to the controller, Call doesn't have a clue about this.I know I can use FSUIPC to define a PTT button for SB, but in the past that gave many many issues leaving the mic open, hence I'm using a keypad directly connected to my remote PC.Egbert

First off, I love this product! It's beyond fantastic! I noticed after the FA closes the doors and I'm ready for push back... I hear what sounds like banging on the cockpit door. Does anyone know what this sound is and do I need to respond to it?Is it a pushback sound? Thanks,Franz

Hi,I'm having an issue with pushing back at an AES airport, EHAM Amsterdam.Although EHAM is AES enabled, I don't have the 'AES' option checked in FS2Crew because I would like to use the FS2Crew push back. The conversation with the ground crew goes OK, but after release parking brakes, nothing happens. The aircraft isn't being pushed back.Is this by design (i.e. one can't use P/B at EAS enabled airports even if the option is not checked) or is something wrong?EgbertP.S. Also so far I had two CTD's in the dinput8.dll. Is this a FS2Crew assembly?

(my headset is plugged in the SB card...)In the FS2Crew gauge I have selected the 'Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio' line(other line shows : Realtek HD audio output)I can talk to the F.O. using the microphone of my headset and that functions correctly. The F.O. (and F.A.) however responds through my speakers. How can I make the F.O. responding through my…

  11. Hello!Tiny detail here : would be better if the FO resets chrono to zero after both engines started. This way when he starts the Timer just before the TO we can actually see the ET values and not chrono values. Great product. Cheers.

Bryan: I was "lurking" around the J41 forum (I don't own it) and looked at the topic "Capt Flow Chart" and said to myself, that is exactly what I need for the dog. Any chance one of you gurus could whip up something like that?? I have printed and laminated a really nice check list you published right after the Dog version was done, however I am lost as to what I am supposed to do when. Looking over the J41 chart it was quite clear what needs to be done by whom and when.By the way, glad you are back on your FOOT ! (How did you do that by the way??) Mike B.

Hi,I just bought the FS2Crew ans starting to learn, it's a bit different procedures to what I am usedbut slowly getting it.1) I have discovered that on climb out there's no calls for flaps up speed from F/O. Is this just an airline call or is it something left out?2) On both flights F/O have opened ctr fuel tanks although they are empty. Is this standard?RegardsMatts Falck

Hello BryanFirstly, this is a great product!I have a quick question: is it possible for you to include the phrase "set climb thust"?I would like to standardise my TRP-related callouts and use the word "thrust" and "set" rather than "power" and "select", stemming chiefly from the fact that we say "maximum continuous thrust", not "maximum continuous power", and that the term "set" flows better with the overall MD/FS2Crew philosophy (IMO). I know that it is already possible to use both sets of words when asking for cruise thrust or MCT, but it seems climb thrust is limited to "select climb thrust" and "set climb power". It would be great if there were both combinations with …

Hi Bryan, first of all congrats for a great product. Have meanwhile enjoyed a couple of flights with maddog and FS2Crew. Unfortunately since yesterday i have problems. I start FS9 with the standard Cessna, then I select Leonardo MD 82 but it won't open and FS9 closes down. When using FSCrew Maddog config manager to open FS - no luck, FS closes. When I try the same using the Leonardo load manager and the Leonardo tutorial flight I can open and run the MADDOG - but get engine failure after lift-off. Have you or anyone else got an idea what's wrong? OS Windows XP 32. Am grateful for any help.Norbert

Hi all you Maddog Drivers!!I have, to a small part, been involved with the development of the Voice Commander with Bryan since it was first under development and had been intricately involved in the Beta Testing. I have worked with Bryan thru a number of early iterations of the product and have been completely impressed by the professionalism and attention to support and detail that he puts into his product, so I thought I'd let all of you know of my success with the product in my everyday flights with the LH Maddog 2008 Pro as the MD Program Chief Pilot for one of the large VA's.I have a pretty hefty main CPU and GPU today (in process home cockpit builder)and am just am…

  21. Hi Bryan,Unfortunately I still experience the problem of the First Officer voice disappearing after resetting or closing and reloading the flight (although he performs the tasks I tell him to). I installed the interim audio update but I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and I put FS2AUDIO.dll both in System32 and in SYSWOW64, where I think it should be since there was already one before. I have FS9. Is there anything else I should do?Thank you.James

May 10th, 2010:As you know, Leonardo just released the Maddog 2010 which features a new panel as well as a new SP for 2008.I'll be releasing updates soon. However, I need the "dust to settle" a bit before releasing these updates as I want to ensure the 2010 and 2008 SP are stable so I don't have to keep re-releasing updates.Cheers,

Hi Bryan,As you probably know, there is an update of the Maddog in the pipeline (hopefully by the end of this month).I can't wait to get my hands on the 'All Analogue' version. Are you planning an update to your brilliant bit of kit to allow use of the Analogue version (I am assuming that we won't be able to use your current version, as it will need to change procedures to accommodate the lack of VDUs etc.).Thanks,Neil.ps. I do keep spreading the word to all who will listen, :( Thanks again for such a wonderful program!
