I am about to upgrade my PC for XP 64 bit and Windows 10. Will 16Gb be enough for sim only or should I go with 32? Thanks Stewart

FYI Guys just noticed on Blue Sky Star FB page they are making a product for entire USA Orthos that will be sold on an external drives Yikes after reading it fully its three hard drives Couple of quotes A project announced a little while ago.. making ZL17 Orthophoto for entire USA and selling it on a hard drive.. (I think, or at least that's what I gathered that it was) ================================================ Yes it will be in three parts: Eastern, Central and Western part of US, because each one of them "weights" about 3TB. It will be external hard drive for each.

Are they any differ in terms of realism? I think I have read somewhere that XP11 have better GPS and overall flight model by default, but the demo doesnt run well on my PC. I want to somewhat simulate IFR flying, so I'm not looking for good visuals. So, any of you who have flown in XP10 can you compare it to XP11? Is it really worth to invest into buying a new laptop? thanks.

HI there Beginner trying to understand navigation and autopilot. Flying a Cessna Titan 404.Create a flight pan in XPFlightplanner. The FMS is a Garmin but not the 430/530 version. Maybe older??? I load the flight plan to the FMS. The first point is a VOR which it follows and then adjusts to the next point. This is a FIX which appears on the FMS with all info i.e. direction/distance etc. However it just overfly this point and instead of distance decreasing it is increasing and the FMS does not step on to the next point. The next four points on the flight plan are fixes then a VOR then more fixes then a VOR then the destination. Does the FMS not recognise fixes? If I…

At the end of purchasing, it stated something about sending an email for some tutorials, but I never received it. I am long time flight simmer since 1982, but wanted to look at it.

I do apologize if this has been addressed, but I'm finding the headshake (or bodyshake) feature a bit annoying. As soon as a flight starts, I get a wobble in the camera, as if I am floating. After that, it gets worse, with a lot of shake during takeoff, as well as during flight with winds. I don't mind a little realism, but this shake is annoying and I can't find anywhere in the settings to turn it off. The shake can get bad enouhg that I will get skips or stutters every so often, even if my view hasn't changed, but it's just in the cockpit. If anyone knows what to do or has any insight on this, please feel free to contribute.

Is this the result of XP11 still being in beta or do I have some other issue going on?

Can someone please explain the difference between the Enhance the application setting and the Override setting for the anti-aliasing mode in the Nvidia control panel . (under the x-plane.exe setting) How do these settings work with the graphic settings inside the x-plane program? I have a GTX980 video card and would like to use more of the cards capability rather than slowing down the sim using higher higher internal graphic settings. When I turn down the internal settings and set the cards to the (16 x) on the ant-aliasing my video does not look as good as when I am running a 4 x anti-aliasing from inside the program. Thats a little bit embarrassing. I have only flown aircraft with 3D-Cockpits and now i don`t know how i can open the overhead and side panels of aircraft with 2D-Panel only. Many Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, I am in the processes of setting up Ortho4XP, but keep getting an IndentationError: unexpected indent, when typing in the from Ortho4XP_alpha1 import * and Ortho4XP('+45+006') commands. I think I have done everything according the instructions, so I'm not sure why it isn't working. Has anyone else come across this, and, if so, how did you fix it? Thanks for the help

Dear fellow simmers, I thought a while about creating this post and I have discussed the matter with moderators. It has come to my attention that I am not the only customer who seems to be denied product activation at X-Aviation without explanation. While our individual investment in a product may seem to be unimportant and not all cases may be equal, I still believe that it does not do justice to our community if problems like this apparently multiply and the only party which could comment remains silent. How many of you do long hauls here? After 20 + years in the FS community Ive never completed a long haul flight until today, mainly due to FSX/P3D limitations, ooms and CTDs (not bashing) on my systems. I just did DTW-AMS in 7h30m in the JAR A330 and XP11b9. OMG No issues, solid 30fps the entire flight on high settings and xenviro is just killer , the sunset over the welsh coast was amazing and the foggy landing at ams was awesome. I know I made a wise choice moving over to XP! sorry but Im just very excited that this is actually feasible!

Hi guys, Can someone perhaps help me with this issue? I have just bought X-plane 10 and 11. The latest versions. The sim is fantastic with the additional world sceneries found on the internet. But one problem there still is. Nvidia's Geforce Experience is not showing up in the sim. When checking record desktop I am able to record it in windowed mode. But of course I also want to be able to record full screen. Another thing is that the FPS counter does not show at all. I tried different settings, but to no avail. I have Nvidia Geforce 372.54 driver installed. Any help from the community on this matter would be helpful. Kind Regards, Peter

You need to download AustraliaPro from the .org and it will blow the entire continent of Australia wide open! It needs to go at the bottom of your .ini file where all your airports are above it. I have a report to present to the furm as well as a request for information dealing with the performance of C172SP in Xp11. So far, this aircraft has treated me well, and up until using XP, I wasn't a huge fan of the default Cessna. Now that I've been using it almost all the time now, I've been getting used to how it handles, how it operates through all phases of flight, but last night, something strange happened, that I believe may be beyond a bug, but something not modeled. After the most current beta 11 update, I have had crashes with both the 737 and 747 approximately 2-3 minutes after takeoff. First I thought I had run out of fuel but tanks were 50% full. No warning lights or programmed malfunctions noted. Even tried to clear any possible malfunction prior to takeoff. The first indication of impending crash is that there is a medium to high frequency warbling sound that lasts for about 30 seconds. At the end of that time, the instrument panels go blank, the engines stop and a message box in the upper right corner of the monitor says you have crashed even though at that time you are still flying. Here's a video I saw recently that reminded me of one of the things SkyMaxx Pro does very well, which is simulating the look of low-level clouds in remote, mountainous areas. I miss this look in XEnviro. It also reminds me that I should spend some flying time in the PNG highlands, which look amazing here.

I am a relatively new x-plane user and ran across a situation last night that I can't seem to figure out. I had a perfectly working pb11 and installed the Challenger 300 that was on sale. Once installed I couldn't get enough rudder deflection to steer past 20-30 degrees thus not being able to effectively taxi effectively at all. I figured I would post in that forum later about the issue and in the meantime I went back to the 172. When it spawned. it abruptly skidded 45 degrees to the right and slowly began to back up with no control or throttle input at all.
