Here is the problem I am currently having with Ortho4XP. I can't get the program to start downloading or do anything for that matter, I set up for ZL 17 get everything else in push the step one button Get Vector data, the program says it downloading OSM data, but it just sits there doing nothing. I have had it running for over an hour and it does not do anything. Does anyone else have this problem. Or is there a workaround. I have managed to get two tiles done and working out of three I have been able to download. Tulsa works fine, Wichita works fine, Oklahoma City where I do most of my flying of course will not do right, I can fly in Oklahoma city area for about 10 …

KORS Orcas Island.... I generated about 40 tiles shoulder-to-shoulder from Vancouver, then south to cover the State of Washington,that took in the coast, and then eastward to cover the Rocky Mountains, that ends in the Plains. Just took my first flight with the new tiles ten minutes ago, and chose KORS. Incredible! Just incredible...I am so excited to know that I have thousands of square miles tonight to pick and choose....but Orcas Island? Incredible... Lovin' it... free image uploading

As the title says how to you change view when your replying a landing - have tried everything like shift 3-5 (which should give alternative views including control tower and runway but get no change) and remain in the virtual cockpit?(using track ir)

I had previously used GTN 750 in P3D so I recently downloaded the Aerobask Panthera to take a look at their custom GTN. Unfortunately, the GPS shows that I am at a position a few miles from where I'm actually parked. I'm flying out of KSEA sitting on the runway and the GTN 750 shows my position about 2 miles south of the airport. I'm using the GTN430 custom data that was included with this download. I assume it's an issue with the custom data but really not sure how to fix it. Chuck

I'm new to X-Plane 11 on Steam, and I'd appreciate your help. In FSX, all I had to do to get local airports and scenery looking real was to install UTX or ORBX, as well as a few (mostly freeware) airport packages. Having switched to X-Plane 11, I'm doing a lot of reading and Youtube watching, but I'm still confused. Two concrete examples of local airports: CYHU St-Hubert is there, but it's just a runway and apron - there's not even a tower. CSB3 St-Mathieu de Beloeil is missing completely. Hi, I am wanting to extend the autogen draw distance, but actually, just the roads would be really nice, as at a low altitude even it just pops in, and at that point I realize I am just flying a simulator Any help would be much appreciated. Dear fellow X-Plane simmers!!! For the past time, I have hosted this file to the community for free. Due to traffic generated bandwidth and file size, I have come to the decision based upon some recent restrictions from my domain provider, that this project need to close down! I am still working on a more suited fix/solution, but I am In need of two things to get this working 1. A professional PHP/SQL coder 2. A donation based community support in order to host files (i.e. a VPS solution) So without any of those this file is now closed and will not be shared anymore! Hi, As the title says, when I plug in my X52 pro controller the screen starts to flicker, when I unplug the flicker stops. This has only been happening since the last update, I am running version :- 11.01r2 (Build 110102), previous to this update there was no flicker when ever I plugged in the controller. I have sent a bug report to the devs, but not had a reply. Sorry if this topic has already been addressed. Any suggestions would be grateful. Thanks. John.

This might be a confusing question, but follow me along here.... Let's take the example airport of KTEX (Telluride). The "default" XP11 runway looks very similar to the real life runway, which is pretty dramatically sloped, by flyable. If I make an ortho tile of the area that includes KTEX using Ortho4XP, by default, the program will make the runway completely flat. If I chose the option in Ortho4XP "do not flatten runway," the resulting tile will overlay the runway over the mountainous mesh. In other words, the runway takes on the shape of the surrounding mountain region and is impossible to even taxi on. (It really is crazy looking). So here is the q…

It's been a while since I've posted any updates or news on World2XPlane, but I'm at work little by little. The latest feature I'm working on is autogen (which may seem like a step back for some). I've found the problem with OSM data, especially in places like the UK or Spain is the very patchy coverage. With this new feature, the entire country will be populated with realistic regional autogen. The trick is to make it as convincing as possible. I understand that XP-11 is supposed to model the Garmin GNS530. Why can't I see water (rivers, lakes, the sea)? I am also missing roads, railways and probably some other stuff. This seriously limits the usefulness of the map view. Is it a configuration setting? And if so, where can I find it?

Ortho is slowly (actually quickly) eating up my hard drive. I may consider purchasing a dedicated hard drive just for XP11. Is there a way to force steam to install on other than the C: drive? I already have some custom scenery. Is there anything I need to do beside saving the custom scenery folder prior to uninstalling and reinstalling?

Is there anywhere a listing of Freeware/Payware scenery & aircraft that will run in XP11? Thanks T45

Question: When I go to the scenery gateway, there seems to be multiple files uploaded for each airport. There is one that is "recommended". I'm assuming the recommended one is the one that is in the default scenery?

Is there any reason to add the flight plan to both the 430 and 530? It seems a bit redundant. Which GPS module is used to determine the GPS for the CDI and for the Autopilot?

Good afternoon everyone ! I'm having a pretty bad problem with XP11 ! it's fairly pretty confusing ! With my rig i get about 41-55 fps on p3d with pmdg 737 ngx and AS16 and some other orbx addons ! Which is excellent ! But sadly in XP11 i get about 5-9 fps on lowest settings ! And I've seen in forums people with lower specs than me averaging about 52-60 fps on it ! with med settings ! I Have no idea what's causing this problem ! i need help please ! As I'm sure everyone is aware, P3D v4 was announced for release next week, and FSW early-access was released, finally bringing all our sims to 64-Bit. It's a pretty exciting time, we have several new sims out, something that is a far cry to a few years ago when MS Flight was cancelled. I think now is a crucial point, as many people are trying out all of these sims and trying to decide which platform to put their hard-earned cash into. Some of us will just run many sims at once, but others seem very reluctant to support more than one sim. I have a file missing when downloading tile N35W98 from Bing. I have recut this tile more than a dozen times and still missing dds file 51644_29920 BI17.dds. This causes CTD when flying around the Oklahoma City area, the crash happens at different time and in different areas not always in the same area. Can anyone give me a pointer about how to get this file, I have rerun Ortho4XP dozens of times, have tried to download from GO2 X-Plane 11 won't even start with that tile also have tried from US2, with he same result, X-Plane 11 won't start. With the Bing tile X-Plane 11 starts but may or may not CTD at anytime. So currently my flying is stuck at KSAN.

So I've had this issue lately with FPS dropped to 1-3fps flying in to the NYC recently. I was running XP11, the latest JAR A320, Xenviro 1.04(1.06 has some issues in FlyInside) & lastly, running this in a CV1 Rift with FlyInside. The entire flight was uneventful, taking off from SJU which was partly cloudy, cruised, and started descent. Soon as I started to make my right turn crossing SIE to continue via the CAMRN4, the sim choked, dropped to 1fps, and kept bouncing between 1 to 10 erratically. It only seemed to clear if I turned my head towards the east away from land and kept it there a few seconds. What's strange is the weather wasn't anything crazy, only part…
