Just wondering if anyone here might be up to speed about Sony Trinitron monitors. I've just purchased a Sony G410 (brand new) Trinitron FD 19" monitor. It works ok, is sharp, colors look good, etc.I've noticed however that the screen image changes size slightly as the monitor warms up, and it doesn't completely stabilize into it's final position until 20-30 minutes after power up. I've tried Googling this issue to death, but to no avail. The only answers I've found so far is that this is possibly related to cheap assembly components and shouldn't happen with higher-quality monitors. OK, This is a long thread but if you have ever had an out of memory error it might be worth reading, especially if you run over a gig of ram...So I know I am not alone in these dreaded out of memory errors in FS. I monitor the forums and see a lot of other posts, usually in the add-on forums. I have seen them on two machines with different mobos, ram setups, run FSM, relocated all of my landclass files, but to no avail. It is very perplexing. I do use a lot of add-on scenery but I get the errors in the UK as well as the US and Israel so it does not point to one particular scenery. I have had my system for almost 3 years now - a Gateway P4 2.8 with a gig of ram and a Radeon 9800 XT 256 card. FS9 has been OK but lately I noticed that while flying (more in turns) I get those "hiccups" or quick pauses. They seem to be occuring more than before and I can't figure why. I checked my frame rate counter and I generally have a fps of 19 or so, but when the stutters occur it drops to 2 or so for a second and then is back to normal. I don't know if more memory will help. Hello all,Since I built my computer (almost three years ago) I've had one BIG problem, a very un-stable flightsim. First fs2002 and later fs2004. As you all know this really kills the thrill and joy of fs. Hi folks, I'll be getting a new system pretty soon with a Samsung 200GB HD and, after reading some posts here I decided to have the following partitions: 1 - 120GB Windows + applications + paging file; 2 - 80GB FS + addons I know it won't make much difference in performance since I just have one single HD, but I think having FS in a single partition will make defraging a little faster and it won't get as fragmented as the "everyday work" windows partition, am I right about this? cannot log on to XP I was trying to find a way to bypass the logon screen. I brought up the RUN dialog box and entered "control userpasswords2". In the User Accounts app, I unchecked the box that required a user name and password.Now when I try to restart, The logon box for Administrator comes up. When I click OK, I get the message "Unable to log you on because of a password restriction" comes up.Can someone please help me get back to where I can log on?

I presently have two 19" monitors and one 15" monitor. I have an AMD 2400+ with ATI Radeon 9800 XT and a much older PCI video card. The two 19"s are on the 9800 and the 15" is on the PCI video card. I am looking to upgrade my cheap PCI video card to a better one. I can't seem to find much information on PCI video cards. The only one I could find is Radeon 9250. Well, i have an ATI 850XL with Omega 2.6.42 video drivers. I was getting blocks on the water every so often. Just here and there. I turned the water effects off and now the blocks are gone. Water still looks good. The terrain detail slider just above that is set to land and water.JimCYWG

Seeking opinion....just bought a Athlon64 4000+ from a guy who had it one month then decided to go with a dual core. It was such a good deal I could not pass it up. My question is that my current setup (A7N8X, XP 3200+, 2x512 XMS 3200, 9800-PRO AIW, 2x WD 800JB sata drives) is starting to bog down with AI, MegaScenery + City, and other freware scenery I have installed. I am considering purchasing the ASRock Dual-939 so I can hold on to the 9800 AIW a little while longer before plunging into the 7800 GT. Would keeping the same drives, memory, and video along with the new cpu and mobo result in faster smoother performance or is my bottleneck the current 9800 video card?thx

Hi,In regard to the earlier post I was able to fixup FS9 from crashing by restoring back to Win XP SP2 (vs. x64) version of Windows. FS9 works well on the new machine, however, I still have not found the right video driver/setting. Oftentimes I get bleeding textures, or somethings when I switch modes using S, I would get stuck textures from the old screen. If I do not run FS9 in full screen mode and minizime, the screen would dissappear and come back blank until I reseted video options.The framerates are fine.
