Hi folks,Just looking for some advice from people who are using TrackIR...I usually use 2D panel views and occasionally the VC - can TrackIR be set up to switch between 2D views by head movements? I know it is designed for use with the VC view but some of my favourite planes don't have a VC!Also, I get 22 FPS in flight and at normal sized airports but at larger airports with a bit of traffic or detailed scenery it can drop to 12-16 FPS - would the TrackIR still be able to function reasonably under these conditions (and indeed does it reduce the FPS itself?)Cheers for any info...Geoff

Anyone else see this kind of issue with a Radeon card? I've tried official Catalyst 6.6, 6.5, 6.4, and all exhibit the issue to one degree or another. Temps on the card are within normal ranges and nothing else seems to be a problem. I've been seeing the issue more often with some add on airports and with a Las Vegas addon (see picture below). When FS starts up some random times it gives me a not enough memory message, I have 1420000 k available before starting fs, how could this be???? Ugh computers....

Since I upgraded to the nvidia 81.98 drivers for my 6800GT card I have been getting display anomalies usually, but not always, associated with mouse clicks. What happens is that the area of the screen below the mouse clicks reverts to a previous view - see attachment. The anomaly only happens in windowed mode and disappears after a few seconds but comes back after another mouse click. Yesterday I upgraded to the 84.21 drivers and for a time the problem seemed to be licked but has reoccurred except that now the anomaly sticks. I can reset the display by going into fullscreen mode then back to windowed mode and everything is OK for 10 mins or so before the same thing happe…

I started having hardrive errors the last few days. I heard a "click" noise like a switch being thrown occasionally. Then I noticed the computer would slow down during fs9 and then speed up. Overall just random glitches and wierdness. Fearing my HD was failing, I backed it up and had the HD tested. No problems found.The I happened across some postings that the new Nvidia driver was causing crashes and hard drive errors. I have removed the June/23/2006 driver and rolled back.I have not had time to verifi that my problems were all in fact caused by the driver but they started happening about the same time I loaded it.IMO avoid the latest driver.Amd 3500+ Asus a8v delux

I was just wondering what the general consensus of opinion was on whether mice or trackballs are considered more precise when using FS and which most simmers prefer? I've seen pretty fancy & pricey mice out there that claim to be for 'gaming'. I, personally, have always used a trackball.Thanks,Howard

Geez this is driving me crazy. Bought the PC off of readysetpc.com (pro-gaming). Check out the specs there not to shabby. I have been having this problem for the past few days. Its like someone is pushing the restart button behind my back!!!! Searched the forums and did the usual like put a fan on the computer but it still restarted!! I couldnt believe it. HiThis morning I actually managed to fry my motherboard by putting in RAM the wrong way round! Even though there's a physical groove to make it impossible to do this I was so sure the label must be on the left like it had been before I just kept pushing, turned it on, blank screen, funny burning smell! I only hope I only destroyed the motherboard and not too much else (maybe the memory).Anyone else manage something like this before?P.
