Hi, I use Tile Proxy for about one year without problem. Great piece of software. I just reinstalled my computer ( Q9550, 4 GB RAM, Fsx on a raptor, ATI Radeon 4870, Win7 64), and I try to get best results both for Tile proxy andfor some other sceneries like ORBX. I did some tests with the external FPS limiter, to prevent for using the internal FSX limiter and its FPS drop. No problem on some ORBX sceneries, external FPS limiter set to 30, internal to unlimited, I get about 30fps in game. However, with these settings I get blurries with Tile proxy, whi go away as soon as I set the internal limiter to 40 for example. So it seems that the two limiters don't behave the same …

I was experimenting with DX10 today and no matter what change I make with the AF, all of my tiles are coming out blurry. I was running in unlimited frames mode and I read that lowering the target frame rate would fix it, but I got the same result at 20.DX9:DX10:Here's my TP file:master_enable=Ondiskless_mode=Offoffline_mode=Nomax_lod=15preload_min_lod=9preload_max_lod=15max_contexts=512water_mask=Onwater_blending=Onblend_distance=1000.0blend_exponent=1.0alpha_min=0.2678alpha_max=0.7water_rgb=#000D1Awater_smoothing=Offwater_threshold=0.25cache_bytes_limit=1024000000cache_tiles_limit=150000source=Service Example 3menu_sources="Service Example 1|Service Example 2|Service Exa…

I'm new to TP and 3 separate installations gave me the same problem. Almost all ground and water textures have noise on them. Please tell me this is fixable, because I'd rather have vanilla ground textures than noise!

This is something weird. I am doing a World Tour with TileProxy and I was flying in Egypt, from Cairo to Aswan International, flying South along the Nile river. What I saw on my left (East) was a big block of Sea. I said to myself "That's the Red Sea." but then I looked at the GPS and the Red Sea should be farther East. That area should be desert.I suspected a TileProxy glitch, so I erased the tiles with the cache browser and started again, taking off from Aswan International and flying North East: again the big rectangular block of sea was there.Do you know what is it? Have you experienced before anything like that? I can verify by taking off from Aswan [HESN] and fly Nor…

Hi. I am a newbie that has just recently discovered Tileproxy. I have fully read the manual and had limited success with this app.I have FSX SP2 running on Windows XP SP3. System specs are Intel Core i5-750 processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, EVGA NVidia 9800GT, ASRock P55 Pro motherboard.I have been having problems with FSX crashing on loading terrain data. It gets to about 43% and will sit there and do nothing.I have LOD set at max 14, my bandwidth is set at 0.5 MB/s and I am using Map service #1.I can get things rolling if I go to desktop and shut down Tileproxy and then wait for the flight to load, then go back to desktop and restart tileproxy, but the scenery does not update…

Ever since I decided to install Windows 7 I have had a plethora of problems. I had purchase via download, software I was not able to install. When I needed to install an upgrade for Adobe, it would not work because of some msi error, etc. I tried to install internet TV and well you guess it, it would not work either. I decided to finally call Microsoft and they told me to download a program from their website and it did not work. Finally they begin to suspect a corrupt file was the culprit of all of my problems with Windows 7. After following a few instructions they were able to fix not only my internet TV but I realize later on that Tile Proxy was working as well. …

Hello everybody and thank you for this great software and this great forum!Being a complete newbie I managed to get tileproject running, but I experience certain difficulties and I am unsure what may be the reason.I am using the proxyuser.ini provided by Ed Truthan, using service 1My DSL is 1.5 MBit, if I am not mistakenThe computer has a 2.66 MHz Intel Dual Core CPU with 2 GB RAMWhile flying, the near surroundings around the aircraft are "grainy", while the more distant landscape is cristal clear. This can also be seen in the F12 top-down view. (see pictures)Is that a problem of the DSL/hardware or are the settings wrong? The second question is regarding the storage mana…

Roads and surrounding scenery looks blocky and out of focus is this normal with 1m resolution? I have run TileProxy with level mapping on and off with no difference, changing the level mapping parameters did nothing either.I have an AMD Atlon X2 dual core, 2.9 GHz, 2GB RAM, with a 1Mbps DSL line. Here are a couple of screenshots and my TPini. file.Todd[TileProxy]# Enable or disable worldwide photographic scenery coverage (Yes/True/On to enable)master_enable=On# Write a logfile to disk. I have been busy learning to fly the awesome superbug and consequently not really spending any time using tileproxy lately. I just triesd a flight and noticed that after a while, despite all the ovals being filled and no ther sign of bad performance, my scenery becoming blurred. No amount of pausing to catch up has any effect, yet if I use the refresh scenery button, it refreshes very quickly and all is good again. What would pressing the refresh button do that tileproxy and FSX cannot and why?cheers, Mark

Hi there, I'm not sure whether my problem has already been discussed here but i didn't find anything through the forum search. So what's the deal? I have both Ultimate Terrain X and Ground Environment X installed and I'm running FSX Acceleration on a Win 7 64x machine. I installed TP and it sure is working, which means at least it downloads tiles (noticable through the status window) and saves them into my cache folder (= I can see and open the jpgs), BUT I still see the default Ground Textures including autogen delivered by GEX while flying. I already tried to disable UTX through the scenery library with no success. So i guess it's a conflict with either GEX or UTX, but …

Greetings everyone! I just downloaded and tried TP and it looks really great! However, I have a couple of questions:1) The scenery is simply wrong... In the place where my home town centrum should be, there is private homes and little parks, and it looks nothing like the real city. I can verify that it IS photoscenery/satelite imagery, but it's obviously not in the correct location. What gives?2) I get some scenery roads that render on top of TP, and it looks awkward. The funny thing is that the roads and railroads, even if looking weird together with TP, is probably more in the right place geographically than TP is... Anyway, I'd like to turn off these roads and stick wi…
