I see where the Pilot Shop has Birds Eye View on sale. I know this has been hashed about before but I am curious to know how people feel. Which scenerys are better? I know that Birds Eye View has a lot of different pieces that have to be purchased seperately which is a downer. I don't know that much about GE Pro except that a lot of people seem to like it better. It seems like GE Pro Had a lot more preflight settings that had to be made.Opinions?ThanksJohn

I get great frames when using full-screen mode however there are two things that are happening. First, the mouse turns black and is hard to find on the screen. Second is that if I access the menu up top or right click with the mouse, the whole screen freezes except for the menu and doesnt come back till I am finished with the menu. I am running vista 32 with FS2004 SP 1.

I did a search but came up empty. Is there a program similar to that of Airport Editor for FSX that is available to edit nav data and add approaches?

What should this value be for something similar to that of FSX in terms of pan rate speed? Also is there a way to go straight into the VC instead of starting on the 2D panel?

Hi guys,I've got a strange problem. Sinci I've un-installed and after that re-installed FS9 I've a crappy sound in FS (static sound). I've got this in general in FS, no matter freeware AC, standard, in side, out side, whatever. When I switch to full screen or minimize the screen it's over. It only happened in windowed mode.I'm using Vista and FS9 with an inbuild sound card. Sound is good with all other applications. It happens only in FS, also FSX btw.Anyone an idea?Regards,Peter

Hi All,One of the best aviation reads ever will always be Ernest Gann's "Fate Is The Hunter". One particular passage describes his flying through "canyons" of clouds one late summer evening through the Hudson Valley of New York on his airmail route. Very similar to what I saw tonight looking northeast towards KSWF. Has anyone run across clouds or textures that do a good job of simulating towering CU's? We're talking cumulonimbus reaching 25+K feet or more in height and having that bubbly look to them, not just a straight up and blowoff. Being a meteorologist, I naturally care much about the look of the atmosphere. I understand what all the weather programs do in FS9 or FS…

Just installed the latest version of Howard's Mix -Looks great but I really do not care for the water which is still quite brown (lakes etc. that should be some shade of blue).Just wondering what others who feel the same way are using to improve the water.Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Howdy, having problems entering the correct data to hide the My Traffic AI planes using BBQ Hide AI. I wonder if anyone using the combo could post their default.lst criteria for My Traffic and FS9. Many thanks.

Hi, I just got a new computer and came with Vista 64. FS2004 installed fine as far as I can tell, but I cannot find the fs9.cfg file. It used to be under "/App data/microsoft/...." in in XP, but cannot find them in Vista (looked everywhere). I know they have to be somewhere since these files are critical as I understand, so was wondering if anybody knew where I could find this one. Thanks in advance for your help,regards,Macs.

Hiis there a tool that will scan all the bgls and identify which one is a mesh?It is because a bad located mesh file (in a scenery folder associated with a texture folder) may cause CTD...Thank youGhiom

This may have been hashed over in the group about 100 times already so forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse. I was hoping someone might have come up with a solution to the bleeding ground textures at FlyTampa's KSAN when used with MegaScenery Southern California. I've tried all of the fixes, (as described), by the FlyTampa forms but to no avail. The textures still bleed through. So if anyone does have a solution, please feel free to speak your mind. If not, then thanks for taking the time to read this!Mark

I own quite a few of their scenery's and the only thing that really bothers me is their trees. Despite turning up AA&AF they still shimmer horribly and in some the tree color is just too bright to blend in. Is it possible to replace them somehow, without breaking anything?

The "manual" that comes with the Wilco 737PIC software (the FS2004 edition anyway) leaves something to be desired particularly when it comes to the instructions for starting the engines and programming the FMC!The difficult to read switch setting labels, particularly on the overhead panel, contributed heavily to the fact that it took me two hours to get the engines started from a "cold and dark" setup the first time! I was able to start the engines a couple of more times ("only" taking an additional hour to accomplish!). I'm still not exactly sure, in fact, just how I manged to get the engines started! The very brief instructions didn't exactly make the process clear …

Is there any general consensus as to the best GA twin prop on the market these days. I don't care if it's freeware or payware. It just needs to have a 2d panel and a VC. Let me know your thoughts and thanks!Mark

Hi guys I have Shockwave night lighting for FS2004, now i have set most of my AI aircraft with the lighting settings used for Shockwave from A2A. Now their forum is rubbish to get help from and the CFG on the site is missing serveral types.AIA 737-500AIA 737-400AIA 767-200 GE/PWAlso missing settings for FSP & a few PAI configsDoes anyone have these?

While flying i noticed that all my scenery is blury when i use certain aircraft, for instance when i fly the PSS 757or the PMDG 737, however when i fly the PMDG B1900 or the Aeroworks B200 my scenery is spotless .I have Ultimate Terrain installed on my sim,and various other scenery by Holger Sandman, along with other payware scenery from Blue print, and Fly Tampa. This seems to be at the worst when im 240 knots and higher. The blury's dont happen in the airports. It happens mainley when im flying. By the way I have Active Sky installed to. Any ideas or insite on how to get rid of this from anyone would be greatly appreciated !

I've been desperately trying to track down the Flybe Eco (G-JEDP) livery for my Dreamwings Q400, but I can't find it anywhere other than as a userpic on some German Flight Sim site, but the livery exists. And I can't read/write German for squat. Is anyone here aware where one can find this livery? I know the Avsim library is still down, I was bummed, but maybe it exists as a download elsewhere? I sure can't find it! Any clues at all? Vielen Dank! (Said rather facetiously... :( )
