This is an open letter to the AVSim.com community. I'd like to poll some advice from you all.Recently I searched high and low for the Airhead Virtual Airworks A.C.A. Super Decathlon by Dave Harbold which has been unavailable since his website disappeared off the web. I was very kindly forwarded it by Avechelice of FlightSim.com and managed to collect all the repaints and paint kit that were available off his website by using an Internet Archive website.This aircraft is an absolute jewel. Hi. I use the great WMKK addon scenery found here at Avsim.One problem though.. Whenever I try to park at a jetway gate (near any building) I get "Building Crash", and the sim restarts. I have to choose "Ignore crashes" in order to park properly. Sounds a bit like a conflicting AFCAD but all I find with ScanAFD is:AF2_WMKK.bgl, WMKK_SIGNA.bgl and WMKK_SIGNB.bgl .Don

My computer is running on Windows XP, SP3 and I have loaded both FS 2004 and FSX. FS 2004 is loaded on my main hard drive ©, and FSX is loaded and running on an external drive (L). I have been using FS 2004 for several year without any problems. I installed FSX a couple of months ago, and until now, didn't notice any problems. For the first time since the FSX installation, I tried to use the PSS B777 program. The system loaded ok, but when I tried to configure the load for the aircraft, the utility was not appearing and I was unable with the following message: "Cannot locate MS FS 9.0. Unable to import configuration." or words to that effect, I don't recall the exact mess…

This is an unusual problem. When in 2D panel or in W mode I lose my parked AI aircraft. In Spot view and VC they are all there. This occured after using these AI planes for a long time so it's not something new has been added.This occurs whether airborne or on the ground. I've checked the FS9.cfg and that's not the problem. All the parking places are there for the AI stuff. The flightplan I use at this airport has been in use for about 2 years. It's a mystery and I'm out of ideas.DAve

Can anybody recommend a package that will upgrade the sounds of AI aircraft in FS2004 (freeware or commercial)? I have seen details of Flight1's Audio Environment for FSX, and this looks and sounds fantastic. Are there plans to produce a version for FS2004? I wouldn't need the sound upgrade for the default flyable aircraft, as I never use these, but the default AI sounds in FS are pitiful. When a turboprop aircraft taxies past me, I don't want to hear the sound of a small Cessna piston engine. :(

Hi all,I was wondering if there's a way to change the default temperature and pressure in FS. When FS loads, the temperature is 15 degrees Celsius and standard pressure of 29.92. I know I can go to the weather themes and select a temperature from there but I would have to do that every time I load FS. Is there's a way that when I load the simulator, the default temperature will be 30 degrees Celsius instead of 15.Ken Manning

Hi; Does anyone know of a solution for floating nav and strobe lights on this aircraft. when on the ground they hover above the wing tips and when altitude is gained they rejoin their proper place.

I have an unusual problem which has stumped me for some time.For some reason I have to refresh my scenery as I fly along or it will not load! In other words I can find myself flying over blank scenery until I hit my refresh scenery key which causes the simulator to reload scenery. After I fly for a while I have to do it again! I have played with many settings in the FS9.cfg as well as display settings in the simulator, but nothing has worked.My CPU is 2.39 GHz; 2.0GB RAM; nVidia GT 220 GPU; Windows XP SP3. I have all my scenery on the operating system drive and the page file (3.072GB) is on another physical drive with its own partition.I would appreciate any help!Than…

Been keeping an eye non this since they posted some shots of it on there news board.Just wondering if anyone has more info on it?Will it be FS9 compatable aswell as X is the main one, the shots are for fsx, and i run 09, hoping itll be on 09 aswell, love the jagEagerly awaiting this one, there's no good jaguar addon out there... Personally i think the Jag was withdrawn from service to early, the Tornado GR4 doesnt cut it for me... Liam

Wilco Pub Piaggio P180 Avanti prolonged release version of FS2004. Maybe due to technical problems. When the original timetable for the publication already slipped more than once. On the other hand user experience is already Fsx version. :(

This has only just started. When I load FS the ailerons are stuck on full right and don't respond to the control yoke. This happens to all a/c, default. freeware and payware. If I move the joystick from full left to right several time the ailerons start to work. The ailerons work normally to keyboard inputs. If I load a new a/c the ailerons are over to the left again.All my controls are routed via FSUIPC, no assignments in FS. I am usinf CH yoke and pedals. I have been using them for years and never had this happen before.Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Hi guys,I have just noticed that this gauge does not do what it is supposed to do...does not work in PSS 777, E145V2, E170 and probably a few others...looks like different products require different versions of this product. What is the best way to handle this ? Does anybody have a link to download the different versions ?Thanks

Hello everyone:I have managed to overclock my CPU E8400 to 3.80, and tempretures remain at 61 degrees celcuis.Now, my question is why is it that there is no significant change in performance? I have an XFX 780i Motherboard, and 3 GB of RAM at 1033mhz....And, an ATI 5850 Graphics card.Any, advise will be appreciated Johnny

After installing the feelthere/Wilco CRJ-200/700/900 (Regional Jets Vol. 1) I got the 1008 cycle from Navigraph for the feelthere/Wilco CRJ to update the plane's FMS. On loading one of the CRJs I discovered that the cycle shown on the FMS is still the 19JUL03/18JUL04 cycle the plane comes with. I guess I did something wrong installing he 1008 cycle though I don't have a clue what I could have done wrong. The running the updates are pretty straight forward so I don't know what I could have done wrong!Actually, come to think of it, the dates shown on the Wilco CRJ FMS appear to cover a full year! Hi all, I'm cobbling together a A380 panel at 1229 x 768 for displaying at 1680 x 1050.Pictures attached - does anyone know what the round gauge at the top of the center post is? I just got a new computer, and have put fs9 on it, and am having the exact same issue that I had on my old setup, which leads me to believe nvidia is the culprit.My old computer started out with an ATI card, and everything worked fine. Later, I upgraded to a GTS 250, and while my framerates went through the roof, I had a new problem that any terrain in the distance, by the cut-off line for the visibility, was shimmering in and out of existance. I don't mean AF shimmering of the textures, but as in the actual 3d rendering of the terrain was popping in and out of existance out by the visibility cut-off line. I recently downloaded the Iris Tornado GR4, its good, very good in fact, but the 2D is somewhat, innacuruate + missing a gauge or two.I have the Alphasim Tornado F3 and ive been using, well, have been trying to fly both tornado's with that panel but i get a Buffer / buffet C+++ error or something like that every other time i load the aircraft utilising that panel.The Alphasim panel is the most accurate to what my stepdad describes (ex-RAF) from his days flying the type.If anyone knows of a solution to the error or knows of a good panel, could they post below pleaseRegardsLiam
