Hi everyone! Since a few months, I'm trying to create a little app which will control an A330MRTT (military tanker version of the a330). I've only one little (or big) problem... Actually, I want to get down the refueling bar (it's controlled by the CANOPY OPEN command) but when I push on the key, the setDataOnSimObject function works and just after, the bar get up without my intervention... The problem isn't caused by an indentation mistake because I use an "if true" model and in my consol, it's well printed that there is no problem like that... I also tried to control the canopy of the user aircraft (with only the possibility to open it, not close) but the…

I'm not too sure if this is the right place to post this, but it didn't seem to show up in any other AVSIM forum. I just got FSXWX for P3D and in the application when I click connect it gives me an error message. See attached screenshot for details. What do I need to do to fix this? All help appreciated. Thanks

Hello All I have a Major problem with FSX. Both the box version and Steam versions. (Both have worked fairly well up until now) The problem has occurred since Buying the Aerosoft Airbus A320/321 from Steam, Which appears to be working well although I have only completed one flight from Luton Airport to Inverness, following an excellent You Tube Tutorial by Doofer911. First I found the Lear Jet45 was only using Fuel from the Left Fuel Tank regardless of the positions of the Fuel pump switches and the Crossover switch, which I normally never touch. Hi,WIN 10 x 2 Prepar3d In the Server PC I have the name for the address in the xml using IPv4 = ABC123 On the client I can connect if I use the Ip address of the server pc but If I use the name {ABC123) it doesnt connect. As the router occasionally issues new ip addressees I would like to use the PC name. I can get programs like PLANG to connect using the PC name using the Simconnect protocol but ActiveSky and the AITraffic.exe will not connect. Anybody had this problem? Thanks Scott Stephens

Hey guys! First time here so please bare with me... I Have recently bought FSX-SE and wanted to install WOAI traffic. I installed the installer, and the AI I wanted. But the installer cannot find FSX=SE in the simulator section. It is greyed out and says Flight Simulator 2004 in it. I have tried to manually direct it to programfiles(86)/steam/steamapps/common/fsx file, but it won't work. It's as if FSX-SE isn't installed. I uninstalled my disk version as I felt it was no longer required, or do I still need the disk version for it to work with steam? I would really appreciate anyones help or advice. Many thanks.

Hello, I am using FSX together with Simconnect. For the Beech Baron 58 I try to set the airspeed calibration bug by the events: - TRUE_AIRSPEED_CAL_INC - TRUE_AIRSPEED_CAL_DEC - TRUE_AIRSPEED_CAL_SET However, none of them works. Does anyone have an idea why or has experienced the same behaviour ? Thanks for your support Manfred

HI All I am trying to overcome what I think is an access issue with Simconnect. I am on windows 10, updated from win7. FSX acceleration. The trouble seems to have effected a couple of planes more complex systems, but I focus on captainsim 737. They pointed me towards a reinstaller for simconnect to get the vc working. I think they are correct it is simconnect issue and nothing to do with their model as such. Ran installer, no joy. I then changed ownership of FSX and the simconnect folders in winsxs and joy. It worked. However after restarting fsx it stops working again. More basic functions found on default aircraft like the nav/gps switch work, but nothing fa…

I have read, I don't know how many, a lot of posts for this problem and tried most all of the suggestions with no luck so I'm posting here to see if anyone can help with this. While attempting to install SimConnect on my second computer I managed to screw up SimConnect all together. I tried undoing what I had done to no avail. I finally bit the bullet and removed and reinstalled FSX SE. I still have the problem. Wells folks, it seems i have a problem that cannot be fixed , which is puzzleling to me when it was working so well 2 three weeks ago. im really tired of simconnect, its not like FSUipc, that software works flawlesly. Hello folks, just want to say that im well frustrated right now, i have been fooling with this simconnect for three weeks now and still i Cannot get it up and running. was working fine before that. My number two computer went down and I had to rebuild another second come , that is where my problems began. I will start with what I got so far. Hi, After many months/years of running ASN/ASN16 on a client PC with FSX:SE on the server; today it ain't connecting. So far I've : un-installed/re-installed ASN16 verified the cache on Steam run the ASConnect2016_FSX.exe a couple of times Shut and powered down a few times .... and still ASN16 fails to connect. From looking at the log files simconnect appears to be loaded and running on the client (ASN16) PC but the server PC ain't communicating. Has anybody got any ideas : Why it may have failed after all these months What individual components to check to ensure they are operating as they should Anything else that may help Thanks in anticipation Peter

I'm trying to install sim connect so I can use the program AI SID STAR so I'll be able to follow the procedures along with the AI Aircraft. I went into the folder Legacy Interfaces and tried to run the installation of the sim connect, and the bar loaded saying it was getting ready, but in a few seconds it closes and nothing comes up. I went into the lib folder and got the same result. The add/remove programs area says that two versions of sim connect are installed and I think I need two more versions but not sure which ones. I've look in the SDK but can't find a call to read the current VC zoom level setting...is there a way to read it? I also would like to set a VC zoom value and am wondering if this possible as well? Thanks...

Hi, I am receiving this error/warning since I installed a new aircraft (Quality Wings B757): "Simconnect does not answer more than 50 seconds. So kinda strange, But I am trying to install ezdok into P3dv3. I used ezdok updates .16-.18 so it should be working. Howver, The problem is upon lauch it says "Simconnect does not answer within 50 seconds", You know that jazz. So in game, None of the binds work Ezdok is completely unresponsive. Just doesnt work, I see so many people that have it working 100% help me out.

I am getting back into programming a managed application with SimConnect and while I have read the SDK documentation and gone through the examples I am totally lost at what they claim it is possible to do. The Events section lists about 14 failures including engine failures (one for each possible engine), pitot blockage, pitot static, brake failures and system failures (vacuum, electrical, hydraulic). I think I have installed SimConnect correctly on the FSX Server computer and the Client computer based on the Froggle YouTube video. When I start FSX I get a window called SimConnect Diagnostic Output. At the beginning with a series of DLL loads. then a continuous list of Requestsystemstate Requestid =4szState =Sim.This list goes on foreverseems to never stop. With the list still going I load FSX. No problem there. Bring up PROATC on the client and receive Unable to connect to FSX. I have obviously missed something. Hi All, When It comes to simconnect I don't have a clue as to what it is and how to begin using it although I have been using FSX from its beginning. The only reason I'm inquiring about it now is because I just upgraded the Eaglesoft Citation X and they have switched from using FSUIPC to calibrate the throttles to using Simconnect. I would appreciate any guidance on how to get into this thing. I am using the FSX Gold Edition. Thanks. Jim

My <MaxRecvSize>8192</MaxRecvSize> is different from MaxReceiveSize=4096 in SimConnect.cfg on the Client machine. And SimConnect guide says: "inside the SimConnect.xml, the ip address, port, maxreceivesize etc. should match what you have in the SimConnect.cfg on the Client machine" What can the difference in maxreceivesize affect? Here is my litany of recent problems that developed after my failed attempt to load AS16 into FSX. HiFi has opened a ticket for me and has turned the question over to their development team but I think other problems may exist. Suddenly started getting an authentication error when starting FSX. Uninstalled and reinstalled and solved that problem. Reinstalled EZCA, GSX and FS2Crew. They seem to work fine except I keep getting a Simconnect error when opening FSX. It says there is more than 1 simconnect connection. FSX continues to open but I get a black aircraft skeleton and square clouds and an error message "simconnect does not answer more than 50 seconds. For Active Sky Next Networked Configuration I need to be running 10.0.61259.0 on my FSXSE server, and also on the ASN client. I uninstalled all Legacy SimConnects via Windows 10 control panel. I have reinstalled 10.0.61259.0 on the server and client machines. However the 10.0.61259.0 didn't overwrite the simconnect.dll in the FSXSE FSX folder. It is still the latest FSX SE version 10.0.62615.0 which according to ASN support is NOT compatible. My question is when I ran the Simconnect.msi for FSX-XPACK, where the heck does in install the simconnect.dll? It doesn't overwrite the one in the FSX folder. I need to locate it so I can manually copy it to the FSX folder. …
