MS FSX | FSX=SE | P3D Simconnect Forum

This is an odd simconnect issue, limited to problems only between programmes on one individual pc. I have 2 pc - both Win10 - a new one running FSX and P3D v4 with the latter my main FS. The second pc - my old “main” one is networked and runs client systems such as vpilot, littlenavmap, AS Next etc etc. All these programmes run correctly integrated with my main pc via simconnect. Today, to do some testing, I installed a clean FSX SE into the second pc. Install was normal, and FSX SE appeared to run normally until I started to try and load add ons. Fsuipc4 installed correctly, loaded as “trusted” and showed on the add on menu and could be changed as necessary. …

Hello, Thank you for pausing to take a look at my problem. I am going out of my mind trying to get Simconnect to work with Active Sky next with Prepar3dv4. I have tried following several guides to no avail. I have Windows 10 all up-to-date on both computers I wish to connect. One strange anomaly I have observed is that in the Network Settings in Windows 10 I can see both PCs connected in one but not on the server machine (the one hosting Prepar3d). However I am able to communicate and access the server PC from the Client PC. I have to say I have been a devout follower and FSX flight simmer since the late 90's. But, after hours, days, and even weeks trying to network a simulator PC to a secondary PC, I'm throwing in the towel. Sure, I have some unplanned moments of guessing brilliance that have made the connection work in the past and I have enjoyed a few hours of the most realistic flying I could possibly have sitting in the comfort of my home office. Has anyone updtdated therire old Flight One ATR to FSX? I did and I can't work our why the cabin textures don't show up. I just get the back of the flight deck and then an empty space. I have 40 files in my ATR texture folder and I have no idea whether they include the cabin because there is no cabin visible cabin when I viewmithe spare files in that folder??? I have Windows 10 with the latest updates and NVIDIA GTX 570 graphics card. Mike

I’m not sure this issue is fixable but it’s worth asking. Last year, I bought the Tahiti scenery package from Flightscene. However, in FSX, the scenery DLL conflicts with other DLLs. The author says it’s a result of older simconnects loading before the newer version that Flightscene requires. I’ve tried re-ordering entries in the dll.xml as well as the items in the Trusted section of FSX.cfg. No luck. I can get it to work if I delete everything in ‘Trusted’ except the Flightscene entries but obviously that’s not an option. Hie Guys Hope someone can help me. Im a big flying fan and have been playing FSX many years. Sometimes ago I bought P3D V3, and have tried ever since to get all my addons from FSX to work on P3D. I got a lot of FSX addons, and I manages to get all my sceneries, airport and mesh to work on P3D v3. But ALL my Missions I just cant handle. I tried ADDIT PRO, P3D SIMDIRECTOR, LORBY-SI ADDONORGANIZE with no luck. Every time I get a lot of error starting P3D up, Mostly "CANT FIND .SPD FILE" or "COULD NOT FIND RESOURCE PATH" I really hope someone know, how to do it. Thanks Niels

I had, until recently, both FSX and P3DV3.4 installed. Due to a scenery issue (installing Guernsey) that caused FSX to crash, I uninstalled the sim out of sheer frustration. That was 2 weeks ago and, after finding time to take a deep breath I reinstalled both FSX and the scenery. However, in doing so this seems to have caused another issue, particularly with the Saitek Multi,Radio and Switch panels. The saitek yoke ,rudders and throttles are OK but the panels don't fire up with the P3D or FSX sims. Hello to all this applies to. If you are currently using the joystick enhancement program FS Force (and more specifically using a MFFB2 joystick) I would like to know if you have ever, or frequently experienced a brief loss, or total loss of forces. I believe the root of the problem is the program not connecting right to SimConnect but at this point I am just trying to narrow down options. I have done a clean uninstall, and reinstall of the program FS Force but that doesn’t help. I have downloaded different drivers to the joystick specifically but no luck there. I'm doing some feasibility work on the development of a new add-on for Prepar3d v4. I've not developed for this platform before and I'm concerned about the time overhead of running tests connecting to the sim when the sim takes many minutes to load and stabilize. For sure much can be done by referencing SimConnect in the add-on via dependency injection and then mocking it's behaviour. Most of the unit testing will be done this way. However for integration testing I'm concerned that constantly loading up the sim to run tests will be prohibitively slow. I wonder therefore if there is some kind of SimConnect test harness or emulator available which allows realistic…

Is it possible to connect the Saitek Farm Sim Side Panel to FSX or P3D? I'm looking for a general input panel with buttons and a pointing device and it reminded my of real world devices made by Honeywell and Rockwell Collins.

I'm now at my wits end. Preamble: I had to overwrite my existing 32bit Win 10 OS on my client PC with the 64bit version to get the upgrade to 1709 to work (that's a long story by itself). I took this as a good opportunity to only re-install the applications that make my networked configuration of FSX:SE on the server PC fun, namely AS16, AH2 and PFPX. Ok, here goes. I am trying to run Pro ATC from my client machine. I have all the simconnect files set up correctly from the p3d redist/interface. I have checked and double checked to make sure all files are in the right area.I have run Makerwys.exe inside my p3d folder, along with the Lorby- SI Addon. When I run the start up P3D and then run the Simconnect test utility, it tells me, Connection to Flight Simulator via SP2 Simconnect Suceeded. So I guess my question is do I have this set up right? If so then there is somthing wrong with Pro ATC. What I'm trying to do in Pro ATC is read the scenery and it won't. Thank you, Bob

Hi there, When I try to install the Shareware/Payware Program AI Timetable 2, on my Computer in FSX, I get an Error message saying :- SIMCONNECT.DLL is missing from my computer. I have 2 Simconnect.dll Files on my PC, should there only be 1 for the Program to work ? And if so which folder on my computer, does the correct one need to be in for the program to install ? And what is the full name of the correct File ? I believe I have the have installed the correct FSX Service packs SDK's etc, according to what I have read. I just have the steam edition of FSX I don't have the box installed. I am having a problem getting the throttle control to work properly. I have CH products throttle, stick, and pedals. The throttle will not response, or when I go into the program the throttle is open and I have no control, so my aircraft crashes. To get it to work some what I have to go into my control settings, go back to the default settings, for the stick and throttle, remove the throttle axis from the stick, pitch and roll axis on the throttle, and keep repeating that process until it works. Reinstalled FSX deluxe a few months ago on a new PC and getting back into some flying. On previous machine I had the toolbox on my FSX menu but now I cant seem to get it working on this new PC. I was trying to get FSXWX and GSX to work, but it kept returning errors that stated that apparently SimConnect wasn't installed. It had worked fine before (Also have FSX:SE installed), but I tried to use the SimConnect installers that come with P3Dv4 anyway.
