MS FSX | FSX=SE | P3D Simconnect Forum

I am migrating from win7 to win10. All my programs(made by me) work ok locally and remotely with FSX on win7. With FSX on win10 they only work remotely(test from win10 computer). Locally they don't connect to FSX, however Little Navmap do. Searching the internet I only find problems related to remote connections. Anyone else having this issue with Simconnect / Windows 10 and local connection? Any ideas? Thanks! FSX with sp2. I'm trying to integrate SKTP with FSX instance. I was able to load Flight Plan into that, but I'm not able to connect plane to Sim Stats and Live Map. Do you know, how to connect plane with SKTP? I was trying to set tail number, callsign, flight number (it doesn't allow to enter more than 4 symbols). Nothing helped. Could you help me with this?

My faithful FSX is suddenly misbehaving. It loads to the main menu, but when I choose a flight it loads terrain data up to 69%, announces "loading autogenerated scenery" and then crashes. Before that, I had just uninstalled some old programs/addons. I used an UNdelete application to see if anything had been deleted from my FSX folder or Appdata, but didn't find anything. I tried a system restore without luck. I have retried FSX with a very basic configuration, with the same results. Does anyone know what FSX is looking for at loadpoint 69? My actual world/scenery & texture files are intact; could it be a misplaced .dll perhaps?

I had to buy a new MFS Deluxe Edition since my previous one got damaged Installation went fine but running the FSX causes problem: It says Minimum display resolution of 1024 x 720 required. Question: how to get that resolution ?? Thank you Paul 12

When I switch to full screen (Alt-Enter), everything stops and black screen with the only the mouse. I have to close FSX via Task Manager. Using Windows 10 and GeForce 2080 video card. All system up to date. Any thoughts as to what might be causing this?

Hello All, I recently installed the Tom Ruth A330-300 package from this site:https://www.rikoooo.com/downloads/viewdownload/6/799 And I am having trouble doing an ils approach into LSZH because the glideslope seems aligned but it is not, I am 25nm away, my speed is below 180 KIAS Flaps full, gear down, 2800ft AGL, and no morse code identifier when I am within the GS lobes. The ils frequency is 109.750 and the course is 334 all programmed in and GPS/NAV switch set to NAV and the ils will not align. The axes are both aligned and my NAV1 sound is on. I posted my troubles over at LM’s site but haven’t gotten any feedback yet. Off and on I’ve lost the ability to connect P3D with my iPad and apps such as WingX or Foreflight. This is in absence of any obvious system changes; I believe last time around I ended up reinstalling Windows 10 to resolve. Add ons such as LINDA, FSUIPC and ActiveSky work - confusing me. The apps work with plane, so I tend the pin the blame on Simconnect SOMEHOW. I have uninstalled all three simconnect installations, rebooted and reinstalled. Good morning ! I'm a P3d user and until this last months, I haven't any issues with it. But, since few months, I encounter a problem when using the FSLABS 320, the Quality Wing 787 or Majestic Q-400's autothrottle. When I engage the throttle during the take-off phase or when I deactivate the autothrottle during the landing, one of the two levers remains stuck which generates an asymmetrical thrust. . When I disable EZDOK, I have no problem using the throttle. So I decided to uninstall EZDOK (a fully uninstall) and I bought Chaseplane instead. Infortunately, this issue remains. Is somebody had this kind of problem ? Thank you for your help !

I just downloaded and installed P3D.I wonder if anything went wrong.I tried to get a full screen cockpit view of the Piper and then taxi down the runway or taxiway. How can I achieve this ? Thanks for your help Paul12

Hello All. I have FSX Gold Plus Acceleration disc , on the box it states from 6 + ie from the age of 6 upwards, I use to fly a four engine jet, but this is most difficult set up I ever encountered. I have files all over the place it’s a nightmare, somehow I don’t think it will ever work. Hello @ll, A note to fellow developers using (managed) SimConnect for addons that are running externally - and having their products crash with the new beta on startup. I discovered that there seems to be an additional dependency now to the "SimConnect.dll" (the one in the main simulator directory), on top of the usual managed "Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll". I can only start my apps if this additional DLL is present right next to my executable too. This problem does not manifest when you use the exe.xml to start your apps (because FSX:SE has already loaded the SimConnect.DLL I suppose). No idea if the same is true for unmanaged code, I don'…

Guys I have a real conundrum and I know the great minds here can help me figure it out (or at least give me some knowledge and guidance). Right now I am using FSX SE with a TON of payware addons like the PMDG 737s (which I love), ORBX scenery, GSX, Rex4, Active Sky and Cloud Art. As of just recently I have been getting the dreaded OOM exclamation sound and eventually crashing. My system is an i5 3570k 3.4ghz, 32GB DDR3 RAM and a Radeon RX460 GPU. My question is would I be better off getting a new rig completely or just making the switch to P3d and rebuying all of the payware that I know and love for FSX? Well, a self inflicted wound. Everything great for years and then without backing up the simconnect cfg and xml started messing with it for another application. After a day googling and trying many suggested fixes, I am coming to the conclusion the only way to fix this is a complete reinstall of FSX SE and P3D, which did not work. Simconnect continues to fail. Before I do any more damage, my plan is to not only remove the sim but every evidence of simconnect on my PC. There seem to be dll's, xml's scattered everywhere. Does this seem like a viable plan?

It seems like EVERY TIME Microsoft upgrades Windows 10 it breaks the networking so products like Active Sky Next won't work via the network (FRUSTRATING!). Does anybody know of a FSUIPC weather add-on that I can use that isn't reliant on Network shares and Simconnect like Active Sky Next? I have already written to Damian of Active Sky to convert the AS line over to FSUIPC. Anyone else having this issue with Simconnect / Windows 10 Networking?? Thanks!

I reinstall FSX ( on Windows 10 ) and I am asked to install Direct X9 When searching for Direct X9 I get a file Direct X June2010. Is this the same thing and where should I install it ? Thank you Paul 12

Hello, First of all I am a network noob so please bare with me. I recently came accross an idea that we can run FSX on two pcs with one running the sim itself and the other running addons like ASN and Radar Contact. I saw Froogle's video on how to get fsx on network. Also, there is a specific video for activesky next to run it on a different pc. I did exactly same what was shown on the video. Here is one question which I have. Q. Do I have to install ASN simconnect on the client as well as the server pc? If yes, On the client pc, where should I install the software? Didn't get a response on the Flight1 forum, so I thought I would give this forum a shot, The other nightI had the FSX flight planner do a VOR to VOR simple flight plan. So I keyed the airports and VORs into the GTN 750. Took off the departing airport FSX ATC set me on vectors to intercept the GPS route, which it did fine. About 10 minutes later FSX ATC vectored me from GPS tracking heading on radial 208 to 145 and then vectored me back to resume navigation. It didn't appear to be traffic that would cause FSX ATC to assign vectors. I don’t recall this ever happening with the standard GNS 500 series GPS. Is this a problem with the GTN 750?? Hi, I already have a FSX:SE installation on my server H: drive working well with SimConnect to my client PC with AS16 and other stuff. I have installed P3Dv4 on my server G: drive and a P3Dv4 version of AS16 on my client PC. I already have all the required SimConnect files loaded on both PCs from the FSX SDK. However I have not yet run the simconnect installers that come with P3Dv4. Needles to say my client PC isn't on speaking terms (yet) with the P3Dv4 on the server. I'm reluctant to run the P3Dv4 installers in case it upsets the current FSX:SE configuration, but I think I'll have to soon. Has anyone else come across this dilemma. Is it really necessary t…

Hello When setting up a network to use with P3D and ActiveSky if the client computer has lower specifications than the server computer would data transfer and performance be slower than if the software was working on the server (main) computer alone? The server computer is Windows 10 (I7-7700) The client computer is windows 7 (AMD 5200+) As my client computer specs are slow compared to my server computer would there be any advantage in using it for networking or use my server computer to run everything Clive Alexander
