This is crazy. I've been using the EZCA cameras for many years now on FSX with no issues. My latest version is EZCA 3.0.1.84. Last month I saw a post about upgrading EZCA to make it compatible with Windows 11. I downloaded the patch and installed it. The patch provided a new version of Simconnect. My version of Simconnect is 10.0.61259.0. The patch, EZsc_patch.exe, was supposed to install a new version for 64 bit Windows.

I followed all instructions, and... you guessed it... no EZCA and it screwed up all the views in FSX. So, I went online and researched this issue and followed all recommendations with no success. I uninstalled EZCA and re-installed it with no results. Using the config tool I reverted to Simconnect 10.0.61259. No results.

So, I uninstalled EZCA and deleted all references to it in the registry. After that I re-installed it and I got it working half way. The issue that I have now is that when FSX starts, EZCA loads as a separate app but not in FSX. I can see this using the task manager. At that point EZCA doesn't show in the Addon menu either and the screen freezes. Okay, then I left it like that, ran the EZCA.exe and the EZCA app in the Task Manager moved from the app section to the Service section and started the 64 bit patch also in the services section. EZCA then loads in the Addon menu and runs normally. Lot of steps to get it running but at least I can use it.

But what happened here? How can I get it to start when FSX starts. Anyone to the challenge? Any ideas?

	Thanks in advance.

	Hi All,

I have a carefully managed FSX setup composed of FSX SP2 (no SDK), ASN, FSC, GSX, FSUIPC, FSXGET, various PMDG planes and other utilities.

Quite recent installation, less than one year, as my old FSX-PC crashed after many years of service. All is installed on a separate SDD to avoid issues and keep the FSX world clean.

My setup has been working as a charm until last Saturday night when I updated to Win11. After the update FSX works well and the other individual components appear to be working as well, BUT it looks like SimConnect has disappeared!

FSUIPC logs that is not finding any of the supported versions, ASN connects to FSX but then throws an exception because "no compatible SimConnect library found", i suspect FSC10 will do the same.

I had at hand all of the SimConnect.msi kits, and tried to install them one after the other: it looks like the installation starts, I see the eula splash screen, but after the (supposed installation) i do not see any new Simconnect file either in WinSxS or other folders on the PC disks. Also tried to reinstall FSX-sp2 to get it from there. Nothing.

The only Simconnect I see on the whole PC is the one associated to FSXGet, it is visible both in WinSxS and the FSXGet directory but has a name like microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect.... And in fact FSXGet works with FSX so I can track the flight on GEarth as usual.

Already tried the known actions: review AV exclusions, UAC, permissions, ...

It looks that just upgrading to W11 made Simconnect to disappear silently... and now it looks it cannot be installed the ways we are used to-

Any hints on how to solve ? Did some of you already migrated to Win11 without finding this issue ?

Thanks in advance for any support or hint !

	Kind regards,

	Hello Pilots, Programmers and geniuses,

I'm hoping someone can help me on a project I'm looking at starting. When I'm not flying for a Virtual Airline I'm flying my own fleet on charter flights and I was curious about live flight tracking that can display the flight track and details on a webpage. I spoke to the IT team at the VA but they obviously wasn't willing to divulge their tracker secrets with me, so I'm looking at creating my own application from the ground up, I've installed VS2019 and I understand that its C++ (never used it).... I have also got the SDK (well what comes with SE edition (I can get the original SDK if needed).

I would appreciate anyone that can offer their help or even co-author with me

I'm flying FSX SE with a Carenado Cheyenne II and RealityXP GNS 750. I'm having an intermittent issue with glideslope capture by the autopilot during ILS coupled approaches. I have tested the base GPS 530 that comes with the Cheyenne II and have not seen the issue. With the GNS 750, the A/C fails to turn off Alt Hold when reaching the glideslope. The autopilot annunciator shows GS Capture but Alt Hold remains on and A/C flies level. This happens on about 50% of approaches.

	Any experience with this?

	Thanks

Where does the SimConnect setup install the FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll i? In the FSX main folder or C:\Windows\WinSxS folder? I thought it installed a SimConnect.DLL in the current FSX main folder. A little confused, here.

Then the next step is to get SP1 and SP2 installed in that order. There are posts out there that go in to detail on how to do this. I assume this will update SimConnect to the latest version.

The problem I have with SimConnect is with MSFS, but I am sure it is the same in FSX and P3D:

I am correctly reading the simulation rate as a number, being 1 when the sim runs normal and 2, 4, 8 or more when the time is accelerated. The problem is when the sim rate is set to 0.5 or 0.25 to slow the sim, in that case SimConnect says it is 0 because it is always returned as an integer value. I tired to read it as a float (using SIMCONNECT_DATATYPE_FLOAT32 or SIMCONNECT_DATATYPE_FLOAT64) but it doesn't work.

Any idea to read the value correctly?
