My menu bar in FSX is missing half and when I hold down ALT Key it won't disappear. I need help in reinstating the menu bar.

Windows 11 - FSX/A Can not get auto thumbnail to work. Installs correctly, have the original and the latest update that purportedly works on W7 and above. Have installed it many times but never on W11, am experienced FSX user. Hopefully I overlooked something simple and someone can offer advice, thank you.

I need version 10.0.61637.0 in order to make some hardware work. I just can't find it anywhere. The one in my FSX SDK is an older version. Does anybody know where to get it? Or could by any chance someone who owns it upload it to an online file hosting platform? Thanks

Hi all I have just installed fsx se on to a new win 11 PC. Fsx is great and as I slowly move addons and programs from my win10pc almost everything is working. I am having an issue with one addon which is installed but not working like it should as it does on my win10 pc. I have downloaded simconnect files from justflight, wondering if that is what's need Question is with the 4 installers is there any order in which to install them Cheer Rhys

Hello all, I am using Prepar3D v4 and I am building home simulator of Beechcraft 1900D Carenado model. I am using C++ using SimConnect SDK to control Events and Variable there is some switches that are using LVARs not simulation variables or events . I want to be able to control them using C++. For example LVAR called ASD_SWITCH_EXT_POWER Could anyone advice me what to do?

Hello all, I am trying to use PDK but unfortunately I can't build the library. I am using Visual Studio 2022. All I can find is the Pdk.h file in Prepar3D v4 SDK 4.4.16.27106->inc->PDK and the PDK.dll in Prepar3D v4 folder. I added both directories in Additional Include directories and still there is errors I regarding building the library. ex: identifier "IPDK" is undefined and identifier "IPanelSystemV400" is undefined. Any advice or guide? Thanks in advance

This is crazy. I've been using the EZCA cameras for many years now on FSX with no issues. My latest version is EZCA 3.0.1.84. Last month I saw a post about upgrading EZCA to make it compatible with Windows 11. I downloaded the patch and installed it. The patch provided a new version of Simconnect. My version of Simconnect is 10.0.61259.0. The patch, EZsc_patch.exe, was supposed to install a new version for 64 bit Windows. I followed all instructions, and... you guessed it... no EZCA and it screwed up all the views in FSX. So, I went online and researched this issue and followed all recommendations with no success. I uninstalled EZCA and re-installed it with no result…

I have LNM installed with FSX STEAM. Clicked on 'online flying' but I cannot see on the map where I can activate the 'circles' for live ATC Can any member point me in the right direction please. I have activated online flying Thank you Donald

After doing a repair I lost the colors on my A2A aircraft and some of the aircraft that came with prepare 3-D, also my orbix scenery. I uninstalled prepare 3-D, reinstalled it and ran the exe for my A2A skyhawk, but no joy. There is no config.sys Files in my prepare 3-D software. If Someone has a working version of prepare 3-D version five could they post a picture of their system files? I have a picture of mine, but don’t know how to get it into the post. what should the path be for the A2 aircraft installation? Assistance will be appreciated, Thank you

I was looking at my installed APP listing and saw that I have four different SimConnect versions listed. Each was installed on the same date in July: 1.0.20.0 10.0.60905.0 10.0.61242.0 10.0.61259.0 Is this normal for some reason? Should I uninstall any? Right now, I do not have a SimConnect issue that I am aware about, but I just want to be sure what is correct on this. Thanks, Fred K

Hi All, I have a carefully managed FSX setup composed of FSX SP2 (no SDK), ASN, FSC, GSX, FSUIPC, FSXGET, various PMDG planes and other utilities. Quite recent installation, less than one year, as my old FSX-PC crashed after many years of service. All is installed on a separate SDD to avoid issues and keep the FSX world clean. My setup has been working as a charm until last Saturday night when I updated to Win11. After the update FSX works well and the other individual components appear to be working as well, BUT it looks like SimConnect has disappeared! FSUIPC logs that is not finding any of the supported versions, ASN connects to FSX but then throws …

I have downloaded the new FSE client. I have the correct simconnect installed. FSE connects to FSX, but does not connect to the server. I have tried changing the hostname and changing it back. The older client connects to the server, just not the new one. Any ideas. Thanks.

When I'm not flying for a Virtual Airline I'm flying my own fleet on charter flights and I was curious about live flight tracking that can display the flight track and details on a webpage. I'm flying FSX SE with a Carenado Cheyenne II and RealityXP GNS 750. I'm having an intermittent issue with glideslope capture by the autopilot during ILS coupled approaches. I have tested the base GPS 530 that comes with the Cheyenne II and have not seen the issue. With the GNS 750, the A/C fails to turn off Alt Hold when reaching the glideslope. The autopilot annunciator shows GS Capture but Alt Hold remains on and A/C flies level. This happens on about 50% of approaches. Any experience with this? Thanks marjimbo

Hello All, I am trying to get the Fuel gauge to point to zero when the electrical system fails in the aircraft, by adding the failure to the .xml file of the gauge it still doesn't seem to have the desired effect on the gauge, maybe I'm missing something, I have referred to all the simconnect data available and P3D gauge file data, any references that you'll can provide for the same???

Just picked up SPAD.NEX. Seems like a great piece of software. Despite Googling, I can't see, to find a list of simconnect variables/events. There is the list that comes up on spadnex when you create an action, but nothing is described. Does decent documentation exist? EDIT: I found it. New question. I found a list of variables. These seem to be mostly bools of various states. So, for instance, I found the state for auto pilot heading lock. This brings another question. Is there a list of "commands"?

hello I am hoping somebody can help me i have just recently come back to flight simming and have been using pro-atcx for air traffic control ,currently i have this networked on a client pc the problem i am having is that i get no information line on my server pc scrolling across the screen everything else works fine i just don't get the information line. regards Richard Sankey

I am trying to find a way to pull all waypoints using SimConnect from MSFS. I know if i create the flight plan before flight. Then i can parse the flight plan file. But I usually create my flight plan from the MCDU on the airbus. I have found GPS_WP_NEXT_ID GPS_WP_PREV_ID as well as the long and lat for those, but not a full list of the waypoints.

So I re-installed FSX Deluxe. The problem I have with SimConnect is with MSFS, but I am sure it is the same in FSX and P3D: I am correctly reading the simulation rate as a number, being 1 when the sim runs normal and 2, 4, 8 or more when the time is accelerated. The problem is when the sim rate is set to 0.5 or 0.25 to slow the sim, in that case SimConnect says it is 0 because it is always returned as an integer value. I tired to read it as a float (using SIMCONNECT_DATATYPE_FLOAT32 or SIMCONNECT_DATATYPE_FLOAT64) but it doesn't work. Any idea to read the value correctly?
