MS FSX | FSX=SE | P3D Simconnect Forum

I am trying to run ASN and vpilot on a laptop through a network. My operating system is installed on my desktop's C drive and FSX is installed on the D drive. I cannot seem to locate the simconnect.xml file in the C:\Documentsandsettings\Users\appdata\microsoft\fsx folder. Can someone help me with getting this setup. Thanks

I am reinstalling FSX. Deep into the install of Acceleration, I get the following error: An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect,version="10.0.61259.0",publicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b",processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. H... I am installing in C:\FSX. I ran installs of both FSX and Acceleration as administrator. The error comes after the installation of DirectX 9. I already have DirectX 13 on the pc. I'm stumped. Jim

Hi all, I have implemented a simple android app which connects by means of sockets to a computer application which interacts with FSX by using Simconnect. After several hours I have been able to accomplish my objective, all but one: when I send the event corresponding to the CLR key (regardless of L or R FMC) it remains as if clicked, this is, the whole SCRATCHPAD is cleared. Any idea on how to solve this? Thanks in advance

Hello, I use simConnect to generate a user defined weather (Wind and clouds at different layers, pressures...). For that, I use SimConnect_WeatherSetObservation. For clouds definition, I use ESP extension to define characteritics of the cloud layer, as described in the function API: &TT000FTPQBBBI where: TT - Cloud type, one of: the list above (for example, CI or CB). If this entry is different from the NNN entry above, this entry will take priority. 000 - Unused. HelloI'm trying to use simconnect to talk to fsx. I'm just using the examples that came with the sdk. The problem is that when I call Simconnect_Open(), I get an Exception_Version_Mismatch. Does anyone know how I can fix this?Thanks

Anyone knows how to reinstall simconnect without reinstalling entire fsx? I have Accelleration and its SDK. I have been having problems with my FSX recently. It all stareted when I updated the new FSUIPC. I had a difficult time starting fsx. But now I went back to my old FSUIPC. (Thanks to Paul), so I got around that FSUIPC issue..but I am having my FSX freeze up. It now does not like my GFDev.dll (Go flight).. I installed the latest version and it still doesn't like the GFDev.dll. My realityxp G530W is not working anymore.. For those who still having issues with FSX, simconnect, Networked addon (AivlaSoft EFB, REX, AS.SuperTrafficBoard, PMDG NGX etc.) combinations, here you can find the solution that will let you fly forever with no problem at all. You probably using Nvidia Graphic card and related driver wich built in Nvidia experiance!(crap) Another crap loaded in startup by this is, NvNetworkService.exe. As soon as you uninstal Nvidia experiance crap, you will never have an issue again with sim connect combinations ever. Have a nice flight. Turgay Turkey

I have an FSX problem and have been told to install SDK and access the simconnect.msi file. in the lib folder.but when I open the lib folder the only files there are Managed, readme, sample.exe.manifest, simconnect.lib and simconnect. I'm using Windows 7. I installed FSX on a different drive to Windows but don't know if this affects SDK. I was not given a choice where to install SDK. I have 2 copies of FSX and did the same on another PC with the same result. Both copies of FSX are the gold edition. Any help would be appreciated. Phil

The Setup I run FSX on a network setup. I use WideFS and Simconnect. WideFS is necessary for certain programs that do not use the Simconnect interface, such as my VA's ACARS, PFPX, and TOPCAT. Simconnect is able to handle other programs such as AISIDSTAR and SuperTrafficBoard. All of those programs are running on one client computer. Hi all ! I juste spend a lot of time to understand why i can't use together IVAP (V.2) and ASN with SimConnect. It's very simple : ASN work fine when i put the <MaxClients>64</MaxClients> in my SimConnect.xml but IVAP not working (Connexion NET only). When i remove <MaxClients>64</MaxClients> from the SimConnect.xml, Ivap work fine ... and ASN not !!! (Idem for Xpax). I try to testing few thing but without success. Hi! Helped a friend of mine this evening to install the FSXFollow client on his FSX computer. Went through the whole install and everything seemed fine (and still is), but I don't like programs that installs other things. I thought SimConnect was a part of FSX, but after the install two new entries were made in his CP in Windows. One for FSXFollow and one for a SimConnect client thing that installed together with the program. Is this SimConnect Client necessary? I guess it is, but if I decide not to take advantage of the FSXFollow, I am asking the question... Will an uninstall of the SimConnect client do any harm on his install?

I swear I have searched through all the AVSIM forums and cannot find the solution to my problem. BTW, I have been simming for 20 years and am not a novice however I'm a flyer, not a geek. Hello, I'm building an app that shows the airports, ndb, and vor within the area around the aircraft. I'm having a problem that some random airports are missing and I can't figure out why. I compiled the code from Microsoft's sample here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730341.aspx and I am seeing the same behavior. It looks like the NDB's and VOR's are accurate when I request them.
