FS2CREW: PMDG 747-400 (FS9 Legacy Button Control)

Hi all!Yesterday I bought both fs2crew for the LvlD767 and PMDG747.I must say that I realy enjoyed my flight with the 767, but the 747 was a bit of a dissapointment!The FO did not do some jobs he had to.For example.The FO should call descide just before landing, he didn't! I had to go around on my flight because of traffic on the runway so I did. I called go around and did my job to fly the aircraft over the runway and to our holding pattern.The FO did his job and did set flaps 20, raised the gear and that was all. My guess is that he jumped out of the plane from that moment and I never heard back from him.Nomather what I did, I was there by myself without any help.Should…

Just a thought...As much as I love FS2Crew, and appreciate the difficulties of interfacing without an SDK, one thing that can be somewhat "jarring" is the transition between cockpit view (I use VC) and the large overhead panel when the FO flips switches. This is especially disconcerting during the rollout after landing. I assume that the after landing actions are being initiated at a certain speed? Perhaps instead you could use a certain amount of time after landing, such as 60 secs, or after the aircraft reaches a slower speed? The problem is that often the FO starts running the after landing items while I am still rolling down the runway. Perhaps this happens in re…

I did a search and couldn't find anything so I must be the only one this is happening to. When I loaded the update, I discovered my windshield had two lines going all the way across from right to left. One just above the dash and one just below the top of the windshield. Any idea how to get rid of them??Scott

Firstly, I own all versions of FS2Crew and love them, they are collectively my favourite add-ons for FS.I bought the PMDG 747 version today and after printing and studying the Ops Manual and quick start guides, started my first flight (BA, EGLL-VABB).Everything was going wonderfully for around an hour of prep and taxi, I followed everything to the letter, I armed the T/AT mode and pressed the Main Button on entering the Runway (cleared for t/o).The Overhead appeared (for the F/O to switch on the Landing Lights) and suddenly I got a BLACK SCREEN that hung for around 10 seconds then a full crash to desktop.A CTD is not something I have ever seen on any version of FS2Crew an…

Bryan,Any chance of the next 747 Edition update including the FO and FA addressing the Captain by rank instead of by first name? It's a little jarring that they keep calling me "John".Oh, and while we're at it, when the FA makes her periodic calls during cruise, and I answer the bong phone, she calls me "Steve". It sounds like she hasn't learned the sound of the captain's voice compared to the FO's.Otherwise, this is another fantastic product!

perhaps for update 2?1. instead of having the ACARS pre-dep clearance give the same transponder code every time, could you have it create a random transponder code (for us non-vatsimmers)2. during the take-off procedures, the FO turns on the landing light but does not turn off the taxi light (which the CAPT has turned on at beginning of taxi)...can you have him turn off the taxi light?3. in LDS the FO would tell you if certain things had not been set properly, like the speedbrakes before landing....can that be done for 747 or not without SDK?Thanks Bryan!

Hello all,I have only recently purchased this edition of FS2Crew and before I mention my concern I have this to say: I have never felt more comfortable and rewarded for spending money on any other flight sim add-on ever. I truly enjoy this add-on. It really gives FS2004 that little extra nudge to truly incorporate the phrase "As Real as it gets". However, I have only one question/concern. When I am running fs2crew in the preflight (I don't remember the exact time to chocks off this happens) the co-pilot will call "Gander radio" and ask for a SELCAL test. Hi I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong, or this is not a feature included in the 747 edition. In the LDS edition I can hear the fa briefings the pax during the different phases of flight but I do not hear them in the pmdg 747 edition.

Greetings,I used to have the TOGA buton setup on my joystick as a key command (I also had CMD L setup but since FS2Crew I don't need it anymore - just press Secondary Buton to engage).Well, since FS2Crew uses the CTRL TAB I for TOGA I tought, easy, just command these keypresses in my software. However checking in my Saitek's joystick programing software (which is one of the best I have tested) I realised that the TAB key will not be taken as an modifier but as a key. So it's either CTRL+TAB or CTRL+I or TAB or I or CTRL+TAB then I (as it would read it when I pressed CTRL TAB and I). Any tips? Hi,I don't own any FS2Crew versions as of yet, and I'm wondering about interactivity with the interface in the virtual cockpit of the 747. I fly exclusively in the virtual cockpit from startup to shutdown, and I'm wondering if FS2Crew can be used in this fashion.Thank you.

1. After landing the FO sets the transponder to XPDR, not to STBY. Squawkbox 3 (for VATSIM) only detects the STBY position as STBY so when flying online I have to turn off the transpoder manually.2. Over the Shudown checklist the FO sets all fuel pumps to off, except the FWD and AFT MAIN 3 tanks. They remain on. They may be oversights by me, or bugs. Advise.All the best, --eric

Anyone tried doing some "go arounds" with FS2Crew? I am having a terrible time with it. I believe I am following the instructions. I have everything set, I know that the Main and Secondary buttons work, I wait for the "Decide" call from the FO, then I press the secondary button and the CAPT says "going visual". I tried it several times with the same result. I also tried it by pressing the TOGA button first, then pressing the Secondary button. Still no "go around" call, only "going visual". I see that between 1000 and 300 a secondary press will get you the "going visual" call, but my problem is definitely happening AFTER the F/O has called out "decide".Anyone else n…
