Hi Bryan,I have a few questions regarding timing and two requests.1st, If I start from dark/cold, when is the time to start the FS2Crew? (I mean in what stage), I tried to copy the button flips of the tutorial but it seems like I missed some things.2nd, what is the problem with a P&W engine? On the surface they work fine...3rd The only time I worked with P&W all the doors worked fine as they DID NOT work with other engines/doors. BTW how do you open the doors? it seems that the SHIFT+E was re asigned for opening widows on top of each other. (PMDG or FS2Crew?)4th and I think the most important of all, how do I know it is time for the next checklist/stage? it seems …

This is rather an unusual problem for me. I'm running a Windows 2000 machine and after installing FS2Crew if I attempt to use my beloved 747-400 (With GE engines) the entire computer will BSOD. Uninstalling FS2Crew resolved the problem. I have the following add-ons that I will try to remove to track down where the conflict / issue is (assuming Win 2000 is compatible?). Here's a list:RXP WxRadAdvDispSquakBox 3

Hey Bryan,Grongrats on yet another great add-on to the add-on!I just flew the intro flight twice (once with just the quick start tutorial and the second after reading TFM) & I'm impressed.Just a couple af quick questions.1) Turning on the taxi light after landing seems to be the captains job 'cause the FO doesn't do it for me (the L & CTRL+L are defined as they should be). Turning the taxi light off after passing 10.000 & the landing lights work OK. With the 737-series that was done after landing by the FO I recall.2) The FO does arm the GPWS, but doesn't test it first (as again was the case with the 737. Pressing the TFC-button is of coarse the job of the cap…

..and maybe it's been answered before but here it is anyway ;-) Since the 744 is a long range beast and unfortunately real life has a way of interfering with those long, interminable cruise sectors, am I correct in assuming that we can re-start FS2Crew any time before the TOD and expect the FO to pick up where we left off before the save?I do most of my flying for BAV and use a few addons (ActiveSky, Radar Contact, Ground Environment Pro etc) - apart from the necessary BAV software for tracking and filing completed flights. I'd hate to lose a 11hr hop from London to HongKong because of a conflict between a saved state and FS2Crew.Cheers!Tony

Bryan:Of course it goes without saying, excellent work once again!I was curious though, why no ETOPS stuff? I kinda liked doing that on the 767 on those long boring flights. Is it all automated on the 747 so you didn't bother to put it in? Just wondering. One other thing (and it's not your fault). Landing lights in all of these planes are hugely too bright and I don't usually use all of them at once. So I end up competing with the FO to turn lights on and off! Is there any way that perhaps in an update, you could just have the FO turn on one set of landing lights instead of both sets? Or maybe have that as an option somewhere?Damon

About a month ago I released a small freeware addon for the PMDG B744 that "simulate" that the crew who last left the plane might have forgot to "reset the panels", and by doing this you as the pilot taking over the plane has to pay attention to the pre-flight to ensure everything is OK: http://www.liljendal.dk/flightsim/RandomCockpitB744.zipThis program simply uses a pre-set pannel-state file into which it "inject" few/small changes. Since FS2Crew needs to use its own preset file its not (currently) possible to use these 2 tools at the same time.I do relalize that due to the limitations of PMDG not using FSUIPC and that they have not made a SDK you have no way to "read" …

Hi BryanI believe you can start FSCrew 747 after starting engines thereby skipping the first lot of checklists. Can you please give me a walkthrough how to do this? What I want is to be ready for takeoff and then start fscrew. You can do this with your Level D edition. Many Thanks

Bryan, you owe me a new keyboard. :( "Hopefully not Steven Spielberg", my gatorade went flying when I heard that.Loving it so far, just waiting on my FO to get done with his pre-flight checks.BTW: In case you were wondering, the product is under a friends name as I used his credit card. I really did pay for it though. If you would like, I can give you the name and email address I used. Or do you happen to know if there anyway I can switch it to my name?

I just wanted to give a BIG thanks to everyone who tested the PMDG FS2Crew. You guys don't get enough thanks for what you do and I don't think many people realize just how hard of a job it can be at times.THANK YOU for all your hard work and effort that you've put into this product. I appreciate it as I didn't have a single bug or glitch tonight during my first flight with it. Without you the product wouldn't be what it is and Bryan would have one heck of a time working support. ;)Thanks again.

Hello,I am using Airliner Pilot, will FS2Crew 747 be compatible with that? Airliner Pilot uses a 'new' pmdg 747 directory (on installation it makes a copy of a few critical files from pmdg 747) and copies and uses that directory with the panel.cfg file in it (so it doesn't use the original pmdg 747 panel.cfg on startup). If this is a problem, would a copy and paste of the original panel.cfg before each flight solve this problem??Thanks so much~!~Martijn

Captains,As we approach release day, here are some things to note:1. Please ensure your PMDG is totally up-to-date with the latest PMDG Service Updates. If you're not sure if your PMDG 747 has the latest service updates installed, re-install them just to be sure. Your PMDG 747 needs to be current with the latest PMDG Updates before you install FS2Crew. That is critically important.2. The initial release of FS2Crew 747 works with the PMDG 747 Passenger models, regardless of whether you own the Freighter Upgrade or not. The initial version of FS2Crew for the PMDG 747 is universal for all pax models. 3. FS2Crew 747 comes with a "Quick Start" tutorial that is available in…

Thanks for the teaser Bryan. I really like the ability to change the key assignments from the start screen. I'm sure that will come in handy. Can't wait for release, even though if you release it September 1st, I'll have to wait a few days to purchase it. Those will surely be LONG days of waiting.:-lol

22 July 2006Gentlemen,I get a lot of emails asking about the PMDG 747 Edition of FS2Crew and its status, so I've decided to open a new sub-forum.FS2Crew has been in business now for almost two years; each successive FS2Crew product is constantly improved and refined with an aim toward enhancing the users experience while at the same time keeping the learning curve as low as possible without sacrificing realism.FS2Crew 747 is light years ahead of our first release, the PMDG 737 Edition, which was released in 2004.FS2Crew does everything on an ad-hoc basis because each high-end, 3rd party aircraft like the PMDG 747 or LVLD 767 is so different and unique and complex (and pro…

I have Radar Contact 4. How compatible will those programs be? Any issues with the fact that my ATC is non-FS and runs on a networked laptop? What about FSPassengers compatibility. I use that program mainly for flight attendant announcements, etc. Also, will the PMDG version cover both Freighter and Pax versions? It appears I saw an option under general options which said "Freighter: Restricted"Any and all help, as always, is greatly appreciated.Best RegardsSKireyev

Hello,Is it possible with the new FS2Crew version to start the session with external power connected and then later turn on APU or start completely by external air? With LDS the APU should be on when starting the FS2Crew session.

Captains,Although FS2Crew is for the most part an audio program, some new screenshots from the 2D and VC cockpit have been posted on the 747 product page to give you a sense of what things look like at this point.http://fs2crew.com/product11.htmThe most interesting and important screenshot is the one of the new interface panel. It is new and unique to the 747 version of FS2Crew; it was created with an aim to make using the product more visual, and thus easier to learn and operate. If you have any questions about its operation, just ask.Furthermore, it's hard to see in the screen shot because I had to shrink the size down quite a bit, but there is a toggle switch on the f…

Folks,Just wrapped up a thoroughly plesant flight from Rome up to Gatwick in the 744 with the latest build of FS2Crew 744 installed. Many of you are no doubt looking forward to this release and rightly so, she's a real beauty. Thought I might share a few bits with you.I settled into the flight deck about 45 minutes prior to departure to allow myself time to go through some performance calulations and work out my thrust derate, V speeds etc. My first officer went out to do the walk around and simultaneously the first of the paperwork started to come into the flight deck for my attention. Off the ACARS printer came a report of some turbulence along our route of flight as rep…
