Hi all,A request for your racing scrapbook. We are putting together this year's RTW Race Journal and, naturally, need really good material.Memoirs.Would you please jot down your favorite memories. It would be especially powerful if you would write down a few sentences describing your experiences in your own flights. No need to be shy or modest.Of course, one or two legs may have gone without incident--you might say so. But we all had a few hair-raising moments and it would be wonderful to have those available for everyone to share.Further, if you have thoughts about the overall race this year, this would be a good time to send them along. What do you think of the strategy …

A little late, but thought it'd be nice to have a specific section for them.

Hi all,The Rules Committee is prepared to make a Special Exception to allow SOH pilot Ferry to use his Osprey on the last day of the race. This is not a rules precedent--only a friendly gesture to a fellow pilot who wants to fly his favorite aircraft. No competitive advantage.Given the circumstances, the seems the gentlemanly thing to do. Is there any objection? Without immediate objection, then by unanimous consent we shall allow the exception.Mike

I've been following the race as time permits. I've been reading all three forums to keep up on what is happening and discovered some postings on one of the other forums that is upsetting. Apparently some people are either accidentally or intentionally interfering with the race pilots who are flying online. There are no verified cases of intentional interferance that I can see and I'm just an interested spectator. I'm not accusing anyone from any of the three forums of doing anything but I do want everyone to understand some things.Unintentional interferance: If you are flying online please stay well away from the race pilots. Yes, it's exciting. Yes, it's fun to fly onlin…

Wondering if this would be acceptable. Not using default King Air .air and .cfg files. Got one that make it perform more to spec and not be so sensitive on the elevators.Flight Log -- from RTW-Duenna v.0.610 R44----------------------------------------------------------- Takeoff: System Time UTC: 23/02/2005 17:50:54 FS Time: 23/02/2005 12:50:54 Aircraft gross weight: 12200.2 lbs Location: N26

Did a test flight in the Cub on this route and everything went well until after landing :(Had to climb to almost 5500ft to get over some clouds, and got a nice tail wind at 10kt average. Total flight time was 1h1m.I have no rudder pedals so after I had landed and was letting the tail down the Cub weered to the right in a split second and the wing striked the ground :( Sucks that the rudder dont work before tail is all the way down, with autorudder that is. Not sure how the Cub would behave if I unchecked the autorudder in realism. It was such a nice morning flight(set local time to 6:30 for takeoff). Guess I wont be able to do this without some decent rudder control.JT

Hi everyone,Team AVSIM needs one or two qualified Concorde pilots to win the Round the World Race now underway. We shall want to take advantage of an opportunity to cross the South Pacific from Tahiti-Christmas Island-Puerto Montt (NTAA-SCIP-SCTE) in two consecutive Concorde flights. Most of the race is for props, so you may not have been paying attention. But if you are experienced with the Concorde (and have one to fly), then you can play a supremely important role in Team AVSIM's quest to retain the Trophy. We need your help quickly--the first Concorde flight is about 15 hours away.So if you are at all interested, please post a message here. Or get in contact with the tea…

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!The Avanti does its best work at FL 28. since the speed of sound decreases with altitude the same mach speed is slower higher but if you fly lower you run into indicated airspeed restrictions. The speed of sound varies with temp so if you get overspeed warning at less than max indicated airspeed try THEN try flying higher in cooler air. I set mach hold at .68 but I hear the payware version doesn't have that feature. Use .72 to .75 torque or APROXIMATELY 260 knots. (Varies with temperature and I can't find what my OAT is on this panel.) suggest lowering throttle to IDLE after engaging autothrottle to so you can click off autothrottle and qu…
