Help, please I am at my wits end.I'm trying to paint the PMDG B1900, but whatever I try my textures will not show up. When i look at the info the d/l'd repaints for it are totally different texture sizes to mine. Ie 32bit, and nothing will let me make mine the same size, PSP will not let me take the size up to 32bit, it seems to insist on saving as 24bit no matter what i do, even if i copy and paste my textures into the originals it adopts the size of the pasted layer.I'm not the world's best painter I'd be the first to admit, but I can paint CapnSim 727, Flight1 DC9 and others with some success, but not this one. Please help, anyone?John Bower

I am looking for some help in repainting this British Airways livery. The problem I have is in painting the white and black "highlights" as seen in the picture below. I have the solid red and blue stripes already done but the white and back highlight dot pattern is something I have no clue how to paint. A friend of mine suggested using the color halftone filter in photoshop but it did not work out. Any help is greatly apprecitated.http://www.airliners.net/open.file/570193/L/Mark.

I'm very close to completion on the GMAX version of this plane, but I'm still working on the right texture effect. I have a good sun reflection, but it is very focused. I'd like to duplicate the effect seen on Milton Shupe's Howard wings. I'm using PSP...any hints?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/90429.jpg

There is a texture in Ollson's F-16 called "name". Does anybody know what it is for? I was hoping it was to put a pilot's name un the canopy rails, but I'm not sure. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.

Well I pained up my senaca V from FSD to a type of sunset look and at sunset the plane goes semi-transparent that is I can see the guts of it though the VC and in the external view...I compiled the paint as a DXT-3 should I have compiled it as a 32-bit instead?Sorry I can post a pic at this time as I am at work :) will post one later if anyone needs to look at it.

Hi,After installing some paint schemes downloaded from Avsim, I had an unpleasant surprise seeing that they were appearing blurred. It particularly occurred with Bill Lyon's add-ons. After investigation, I have noticed in these textures files the presence of several mipmaps levels. It seems that their presence is the root of this disappointment and I would like to know if someone can explain me how to fix this. Thanks in advance for responding...Kind regards...Vincent

Hi,What is the recommended paint program for getting the best results ?I have all of Martin Wright's graphics utilities.I've not done any aircraft painting since FS2k, and my paint programs are looking rather ancient ! :-roll Is it worth getting the latest version of PSP, Photo_Impact or Photoshop ? Is there another program that I should use ?Thanks for your help.Bob

Hi All,Right, I need a little help........The new Let 410 UVPE that has just come out has a paintkit that is in PSD (Photoshop) format.I use PSP, and normally I can read PSD files fine, unfortunatly this one loses all the layer information, and as such is a real pain to use.Ideally, what I need is for someone who has photoshop to open the 4 PSD files included in the paintkit, and either....1) save it in a format that I can read and will also preserve the layering.or2) save all the layers as seperate bitmaps so I can layer it myself in PSP.Any help would be much appreciatedCheersDan.

Dear painters ,Today , I tried to paint for the first time. Not easy. Because I can't find a tutorial.A loooooooooooong way to go ...I'm using Pro paint Shop and I tried to paint a PMDG 737NG , the paint-kit.I made a fuselage (one side) and saved it as 'ABC' in the Paint-kit file.I finished with the paint to do something else.Later , I went to the PMDG paint-kit file to open the saved 'ABC' to continue with my painting-job.What happened ? I'm getting only a MS-DOS-file which I can't open. What did I wrong ?Any help ?Thanks !Kindest regards ,Tom.

I use the POSKY supplied 757 paint kit (white) to fool around and see if I could paint a jet. I use an existing painted jet and only painted half the jet to see how my finished compared to the existing jet. I notice that the original on the left side has much better transparecy / reflections when you look at the bottom of the nose. How do I get my paint job to look as good as the paint job on the left side of the screen capture? I used PhotoShop to do my paint job, save as a TGA, and then use ImageTool to convert to a BMP. Please have a look-see at the attached JPG.TIA,Tommy

I have repainted an RFP 747-200 in Travelcity colours (air atlanta) which is downloadable at panelshop.com. I want to have a go and remodel the engines, but I do not know how to go about it. It appears that the paint kit has a Gmax "framework" that the textures are "stretched" over (sorry if these terms are not correct). I would like to remodel the engines in the correct RR configuration.Any help would be appreciated.Regards Nitramhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/88361.jpg

Hi all, I have successfully repainted some of PMDG 737 aircrafts using Photoshop CS, however my reflective skills are completely lacking. I've looked at some tutorials and they are not getting me anywhere. Can anyone here give me some straightup answers on how to make part or all of the fuselage reflective? Thanks

I have been fooling around with Paint Shop Pro and repainting. I have seen some great repaints with highly detailed panel lines and dirt masks. Can somebody give me a real quick explanation on what tools/layers to use to achieve this (ie what type of layer, which tool and its average settings for dirt)? Thanks in advance!http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpg
