the links that are in the sticky pin seem to be quite old and i wonder if there are now easier methods. I have fsrepaint and all i want to do is make a texture for my own airline in fspassengers. I really need very basic walkthrough and all tuturials i find seem to be very complicated. Can i not just use fsrepaint to create a new livery, why do i need all the PSP etc?

Hello, I'm new to painting. I've already had one release, the SGA SAS NC MD-81 at the library, and I am working on number 2. Snowflake MD-82 is what I'm working on and I need some help handpainting a textures. I am trying to paint the "Y" that is in teh Flysnowflake.com titles on the forward fuselage. I can't seem to find a logo that has the "Y" on it so I have to handpaint it. I am getting very frustrated and was hoping a more experienced painter could help me out.I'm using Photoshop and I've tried the pencil tool (which doesn't look good at all because it doesn't fade at the edges of the letters) and the pen tool, which looked better, but I can't seem to get it to make …

Good People, D/L the textures for the DF 727 and tried to run them thru the program. The process hangs at "writing aircraft configuration file". Any ideas? Jack

im using FS2004 and i just bought and am using FS Repaint by Abacus.i d/l the repaint kit for PMDG B1900Di loaded in a psd file and then saved it out as psp (im using paint shop pro v9)im getting pretty good as to the actuall painting but when i save the bmp out into the aircraft folder all goes wellits when i select the plane in fs2004, i can see the name, and all that but its all greywhat am i doing wrong? thanksi so desparately want to repaint my a/cciao!Brian S

Hello !I repainted the LDS 767 and I created the .bmp files using the appropriate structure. How can I add it to my simulator ?I know I can "pack" it in .lds format in the Repaint Manager, but how can I do this ? It seems that the only paints I can pack are the paints already installed...Thanks for your help !Max

Hi Guys.I'm searching for a good and complete tutorial on how to paint my Gmax built Aircraft from scratch. I've already found some tutorials and played around but none worked for me so far as i'm a complete beginner in painting aircraft. As i mentioned in the Headline i'm NOT looking for REPAINT Tutorials but for some advise on how to start from from scratch, for e.g. how to seperate parts in Gmax exporting them to Paint Shop and getting them ready to paint there. I've already seen the "linklist" in an earlier post but that didn't include the information on how to "start from the beginning".Any help or advise would be greatly apprechiated !Kind regards, Michael.

PMDGB1900C. I posted this in the MSFS forum and got no response. Wondering if anyone might be interested in doing this one. I know there is one for the 1900D, but I have the C version.OR as another option, maybe I could use the 1900D texture but not sure how different the 2 aircraft are.Thanks, Adam

Hi, I downloaded a file off of avsim it was a interior for the pmdg and wanted do my own design to it. So I open the guys cabin thing he did and painted over it, then saved it. Inserted it into my pmdg file but nothen showed... Is there any transformation I have to do after this or something? I was using Paint Shop Pro is there anything else I need to get the images and such to show up?Appreciate the helpthanks

I've been using PSP 7 through 9, but I'm becoming frustrated with its ability to resize. Registrations, for instance, are sometimes readable at only just the right distance from the aircraft. (I use the text tool in a separate file on a separate layer at 10 or 12 points, then resize that image to get the size I want on my 1024x1024 repaint file.)And when doing curves (anti-aliased), PSP sometimes looks awfully jagged, and I find myself reducing the opacity pixel by pixel to get it better.Is Adobe Photoshop any better at "doing the math"? I got the United 733 from Ariane, but the textures suck, they look like blury DXT textures, so I tried to convert them into 32 bit, but they are in 32 bit already. Can somone who has the Ariane 733 make a UAL repaint plase? New Color would be sweet if able.

Im busy doing my first repaint,a Level-D 767.I use Photoshop to do all the paint work and save it as a 32bit BMP.Then I convert it to a 32bit extended file in DXTBMP.When I load the aircraft in Flightsim the texture gets all blurry when I zoom in.The small lettering is all blurry like I have lost resolution...any ideas?

HI, I purchased the Eaglesoft Cessna II S/P and the Cessna CRJ1. They are both great aircraft and I enjoy flying them. I downloaded a Paint Kit for the Cessna II S/P from the Eaglesoft website but I can't figure out how to use it. I have used Abacus' FSRepainter for AI repaints and the program works well. My question is: Where do I place the Cessna II Repaint Textures so they show instead of the textures that come with the aircraft? I'm sure it's something simple that my old noggin can't figure out.:-hmmm Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
