I would like to learn how to paint aircraft. Would anyone be willing to help me out?

Well after a little break I have finished the PMDG 737-700 Repaint. I dedicate it to all the people at the make a wish foundation and thank them for the wish they granted me so many years ago, and for the wishes they grant to kids today and hopefully long into the future.

Does anybody know where I can get a Cessna 182T blue/white with gold/silver trim like the 2004 models had. I own N65603 and would like to get one from somewhere. I noticed a virtual AI one in the HTAI planes that has my plane's color scheme but would like one for the flight controlled plane. I also have a G1000 but realize there isn't a Garmin G1000 cockpit out there yet. I know this is a dumb question but I'm a newbie to these flightsims. Been flying the real things and just moved over to these for practice. Thanks in advance!

In the file library I found a northwest repaint that I want. But it said you need the dreamfleet 727 whisper jet. Now I have a dreamfleet/flight1 727. Are they talking about the same thing? Thanks for your help.

Well, here is the story why.PSS is recently announced that repaints of their commercial liveries is permitted for painters to paint and will be uploaded to their site to "User Edits".I did a repaint of ELAL aircraft, all who saw it says its very good, quite close to real thing. :)The paint was sent to PSS a long time ago, put a notice on their forum on Avsim, resent again, sent request for info... PSS never reacted at all. They just ignore it. I never received e-mail from PSS about it, what happens with it. So, if you guys want to make paints for PSS birds, think twice. I have been trying to repaint an Ifdg Airbus 320-200 but my files seem to not work, no matter what I try. I've been pulling my hair out trying to find a texture to fix. Is it possible to "embed" a texture in the model, so it isn't necessary to have it in the texture folder? Otherwise, I have no idea where it's coming from.Thanks,Todd

I posted this question on the 'General' MSFS board last week, and after going as far as we could there one of the guys suggested bringing the question here.I'd been working with the *marvelous* FFX/SGA 737-200 (this goes for other fantastic freeware planes also) and wanted to tone down the shine. When I lightened the alpha channel and it didn't have any effect, I figured I had to be doing something wrong.The guys there made me realize that I was really up against dynamic shine built into the model. The only suggestion was to try a newer BMPMAP.TXT to cut it down, but it didn't really do much.This might be a dead end, but if anyone has any ideas...Thanks! …

Hey all!Just wanted to let you know I just uploaded my Martinaire repaint for feelThere's awesome Deluxe Caravan cargo. I noticed a shortage and decided to do something about it since I had the time and a paint kit (thanks feelthere!).What's cool to me about it is that back in '97 I worked at Tulsa International and actually crawled in and out of this very aircraft, N9738B. Awesome. I guess it was being used as an overflow, because we usually only got in a Shorts. Well, besides the other feeder Caravans. Hi.I have recently started to get into texture editing in a bid to get good at repainting.I took the PMDG Easyjet 737/700 repaint with a view to change the text to "Come on, let's fly!"This was accomplished pretty easily using the healing and text tools.I then saved as 32 bit bitmap which at first didn't work at all because I didn't use DXTBMP.So I opened DXTBMP but forgot to remove mips so it came out all blurry.Next I removed mips and it came out perfectly apart from forgetting the exclamation mark in the text.So I added it. But, this time the aircraft appeared extremely shiny. You could, however, still see the text.At this time time I was tired so packed it in.What was…

I made a repaint for an imaginary airline and I went into FS to test it out the plane was greyed out. It shows up fine in the tutorial of FSRepaint and I belive I configured the aircraft cfg right. Can someone please help me?
