Hello all, I have purchased the Steam Edition because of the low sale price, but I haven't had a chance to install and play with it. Since before it came out, I've thought it would be a great way to introduce a friend that might be interested to flight simulation, especially with the simplified Steam multiplayer. What I'm wondering is if anyone has tried the shared cockpit feature with the default aircraft, which could be very useful for introducing FSX. I'm interested in hearing how well it does (ordoes not) work. Thanks much.

Hello! Me and a friend of mine just discovered this way to share cockpit, through the Hamachi network setup. As we already knew, most aircrafts did not support this. However, we found some planes that actually did, so I thought that we could list all aircrafts that we know works 100% through this way of sharing the cockpit. As I started this thread, I begin. Hey all, a friend of mine are flying lots and lots of hours in Multiplayer using the shared-cockpit Feature. As not many aircraft support it, I would like to get information of every payware plane that supports it. We currently have the Beechcraft Turbo Duke and Lotus L39 Albatros, both work perfectly. I know that the Maddog support Multicrew too, but we didnt try it yet - the VC looks...quite awfully, but we might give it a try if there arent any more planes. I also read that the Fokker F70/100 supports shared cockpit, but as it has no VC, it is no option. Are there any other planes which can be used in multiplayer using shared cockpit? What about some…

I read on a news article that DTG is going to find a way to re-code the multiplayer. It seems that it would be difficult and time consuming to do this, but if they do. That would be great, because I dont really enjoy direct connect. I have tried vatsim, but its very confusing and stressful. I hope you dont have to buy the steam edition ( You probably will) to get the updates. -Trevor

Has anyone tried running one PC with FSX and one with P3D V2 and they connect mulitplayer? I've never used MP for either, so I have no experience at all. Last MP flight was WAAAY BACK in 2000 or earlier with FS98! Thanks

I would like to do a little flying with my nephew. What payware or freeware aircraft for FSX include a fully realized shared cockpit? I know the Fly the Maddog MD-80 and the PMDG 737 NGX support it, but I don't know of any others. Majestic's Dash 8 Q400 Pro will support it but it hasn't been released yet. Thanks!

Hi all looking for a Server for a online live event for anything up to 25 and maybe more pilots. We have done the first out of 6 legs its a war birds only flight. The event has been streamed on Twitch by about 5 streamers and the next leg will be the same. We did the first leg using fshost and found it not to be very good. We have also tried vatsim and its fine but not for formation flying of the B17. So if anyone could help out would be much appreciated. Hello, me and my brother would like to do a few flights together over LAN. Problem is, we never see each others real airplane model, for example, when I'm using the Majestic Dash 8, he always sees the default beech kingair instead. We tried with installing WOAI aircraft with a dash 8 included but FSX never uses this model. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Guys please some help, we have a local network setup with the host acting as a tower controller and when ever a pilot initiates a failure such as engine fire or gear problem, the associated graphics are not visible to the host screen or to any other pilot on the network. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Hey guys we have setup with some friend 5 computers for a multiplayer session of FSX. We are all connected via a switch as a LAN connection and one computer acts as the host and is setup as an ATC TOWER. However when the host chooses the option to pause the session for everyone this does not work when we are all connected but rather that anyone can pause for himself. Also another annoying thins is that when someone sets a failure to occur on its aircraft the graphics associated with the failure (eg engine fire) are not visible on any of the other computers in the session. If anyone can help this would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Hi, I recently installed PMDG 737NGX, but when I'm in multiplayer I cannot type a 'g' in the chatbox because it will operate the gear. Has anyone had this problem? Anton

I havn't used FShostclient in a while, its prolly been about a month, and now I just tried to start it up and now I am getting this error message when I try to connect to my favourite server (or any server for that matter)this is the error message that I get when I try to join:Error 0x80158180 enumerating the hosts with port 23456I do not know what is causing it. I have installed a few games, and I had to reset my router in the month that I havn't used Hostclient, but I don't know what could cause this error.I also have used hostspy to try to connect to another server, and I get the same error, no matter the port, or IP.Does any one have any idea what this could be caused…

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has experience using ITrafficInfo variables in Multiplayer mode? The ESP SDK clearly suggests that ITrafficInfo variables work in multiplayer, and I know about its use in an ATC Controller setting from the stock FSX radar gauge, but I wonder if each player, using ITrafficInfo variables in a gauge in their own aircraft, can see the all the other players' aircraft? I've written an XML TCAS gauge that works well with AI aircraft, but will it work in multiplayer mode, with each player having this gauge in their panel? Just curious if anyone has an idea. There are many options for FSX add-on scenery (REX, GEX, UTX, FTX Global, VFR GenX, ORBX offerings, etc, etc). In a multi-player environment, does it ever cause a problem if the players are all using different types of add-on scenery? Thx, Al

Hello everyone, as many of you may know, the beautiful RealAir Beechcraft Duke B60 is not very multiplayer friendly. Hello, I'm going to be ATC soon for Boston Virtual ATC ^_^ , I know the Call Signs and how to respawn to someones taxi but :unsure: , I dont know how the fequency's work. So my question is, Do you stick to the frequncy when you join the server? or do you turn to the fequencys to the groups fequency number? or you just leave it to one fequency? Okay, this is my second post of the day, first thread. I recently updated my pc. I have been reinstalling all my programs to get back in the air. Everything has been going fairly well (other than the directx 10 issue I discussed earlier) but now I have hit a brick wall with FSInn. I installed everything as usual but now I am unable to physically connect to Vatsim. I continue to get a timed out error. I have searched high and low for a solution. I have installed a windows loopback adapter with no success. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled FS Copilot 1.7 and FSInn 1.3 with no success. I have also installed a load server fix hoping it would help. It did not. …

Hi All, For whatever reason when flying on a multiplayer server (any server) when I go full screen the taskbar is still visible. In free flight I get proper full screen. This has only happened today. Any ideas? Cheers Daz
