The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Wow, Im really liking this XPlane 10. What's cool is that scenery is super easy to create (using Sketchup) and to place (using Overlay Editor). In fact, like it so much, my "company" "bought" some land on the south side of KMIA and put up a hangar and added a few amenities. It's a home base for those frequent trips in the Eclipse out to the Bahamas and back. HEre a screenshot... https://www.dropbox.com/s/17haq5xuieu6hpo/HomeKMIA.jpg John

I live in NYC and because of that, I bought every Scenery for the area for FSX and X-plane, not to mention freeware for the area. These shots are of NYC which is a combination of Aerosoft's Manhattan X with the Freedom Tower from Drzewieki Designs NYC converted to XPX. I picked buildings that look best in each rendition, Also shown are payware renditions of La Guardia and JFK and Skymaxx Pro for Clouds and Sky. I also added a lot of freeware buildings available on the web (Empire State building and Statue of Liberty) and a NYC ortho file to sit under it all. Its not done yet. I have a lot of work to do. Many Open Street Map buildings are still bleading through a…

I'm in love with cloud shadows. This was taken in P3d 2.2 over some airport scenery I'm currently working on - ignore the black control tower(s?) FTX Global, Opus weather, REX4. Full resolution http://cubeupload.com/im/mynameismatt/201449037217.jpg

NOTE TO MODERATORS - Whilst strictly speaking I know I have broken the 20 screenshot rule, I have only posted 18 full size screenshots and the rest are small thumbnails linking to screenshots of my settings. I hope this is acceptable given their relevance to the purpose of this post, and of course the interest this post may have to Avsim members! I don't think anybody has failed to notice that the second patch for P3D2 was released earlier this week and has generated a lot of discussion. I've just done a reformat/reinstall of my computer and thought it might be interesting to do a head to head comparison of FSX and P3D2 with no addons installed. To the best of my know…

Cross posting, as I thought this might be of wider interest: apologies if this has been done recently, I haven't been here for a while... Over the weekend I thought I’d see if Flight Simulator could give an idea of what it might be like to fly a long range Search mission. That’s what it’s about after all: simulation. I also figured I would have about as much chance as anybody, finding debris from Flight MH 370. The RNZAF being part of the effort, we set off to Bullsbrook, Western Australia in the KBT P-3 Orion. No custom scenery for RAAF Base Pearce, but luckily FS9 has a few of the supporting cast available, to pad things out a bit. Off we go, it’s a long…

I thought I'd do an A2A Cub. This one: Not much to tell about this aircraft. Lives in France (naturellement) at La Ferte-Alais (LFFQ) Every source says it's a J3C-65 but it looks a bit L4 to me. Anyway, it's a little different to yellow! Mine: On AVSIM now.
