The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Hello This is part #2 of my Turbine Duke transatlantic trip This time from Nuuk, Greenland (BGGH) to Reykjavík, Iceland (BIRK) About 800 nm of which 400 over the Atlantic The route : 6:30am, -13 °C (8° F), right after starting the engines, the first thing to do is to switch the Cabin Heat ON Aligning on runway 05, guess what ? We are #1 to take off Leaving Nuuk behind, we are heading East to follow our route to ASVID Somewhere above Greenland, clouds have scattered, letting us stare at the milky way The Moon is almost full and clear of clouds Sun is slowly rising while we are approaching the East Coast of Greenland …

This flight logged in at 1.9 hours including taxi out and taxi in. Active runway at Asheville required a takeoff to the south and I turned right (west ) for my climb out to HMV VOR. That added some time. However I flew a Baron E55 at 9,000 and 180 kts IAS with an average wind factor of +16 and I read one opinion that if this route is chosen the speed will likely be 160 IAS to accommodate more aircraft types. Believe all of that is still under development, just mention it as it factors into the time required for the flight. Anyway, I captured a series of screen shots that capture the character of this route; one that has been suggested. What you see is Megascenery …

A2A C172 in P3D v3. Lighting, reflections, atmosphere, everything looks pretty good if you ask me! No editing, just SweetFX and Shade! So I don't need to read any "X-Plane or AeroFly FS looks better" mumbo jumbo! For me this is it!

Looking up the Eisacktal valley along the Eastern Rhaetian Alps - Dolomites boundary from just east of Bolzano, Italy. (Please note the lens flare was added after the screenshots were taken, and not rendered in FSX) I wish FSX had an accurate Rayleigh scattering rendering like the blue haze in X-Plane which would make these kind of screenshots so much more realistic. I also wish FSX had a dynamic sun lens flare depiction so that its brighter and more intense during midday and smaller and softer during sunrise/sunset.

The past week or so, FSX has turned super buggy on me. DLL errors, multiple CTD's, you name it. A reinstallation later, and multiple tweaks, it's still not as stable as it was a month ago, but not as bad... Bonus points for guessing the airport
