ORBX has given us over the last years some outstanding airport and region sceneries. This is slightly different, as it is a bit off the beaten track. Nevertheless any tube driver can land there and GA pilots will have fun exploring it further. This new Samoa scenery covers American Samoa and Western Samoa and is at least for me just breathtaking (the same developers btw have given us already Port Moresby in PNG, another gem). I know I'm late to the game but I picked this aircraft up in the sale over at simmarket tonite. It's nearly bed time so here's a short review with lots of pics. I can't decide if I prefer the XP Lear 25 or this Lear 35. Where the -25 falls short the -35 picks up, and vice versa hehe. About this Lear - sounds are amazing! TSS did the soundpack and it's solid. Handling is also well done. GTN 750 and Wx radar (mine is Milviz/REX) works great - 3D bezels for both! The systems have a slight edge over the XP LJ25 but only every so slightly. The autopilot is "interesting." I have a tough time getting the VS mode to work. I did RTFM and as I understand you pitch …

This bird looks incredible in XP11. It works for the most part without issues (a drag and drop install from XP10)

Snow and snow and more snow, from Montreal to Toronto Island. Made for a nice overcast though! And an ILS to minimums! Broke out right at 250 feet!

Hi there, can someone tell if after landing when taxing to airport the pilots switched off the lights due to, a) a failure on the lights, or 2) fog and therefore better to leave the landing lights off, or 3) one can not see the lights but they're on? After landing note the suv leading the plane 'home'. Good work I would say.. definitely interesting. I hope I posted it well and you can open the link. :wink: Cheers. John Goncalves

I'm really enjoying the iFly 744, and started a few paints for her. This is one I've ALWAYS loved (metal and Cathay...and a Freighter...the triple crown!) Waiting to put these textures on to whatever 744F comes out next (iFly has not released theirs yet, and of course PMDG's lovely rendition is still in beta). However the lack of the proper model doesn't stop a painter (not this one anyway, hehe)...if there was only a way to block the windows on the iFly model, I could make a BCF which I think Cathay flew at one time.
