I'm a beta tester for xEnviro, been doing a lot of testing under X-Plane 11. With the, hopeful, imminent release I wanted to share a few shots And a small Gfycat of a snowy take-off

Having taken off from BGNO in terrible weather I stopped off at Thule airbase then continued with a full cargo load to Anchorage (PANC). Just a couple of shots showing the sunrise and early morning on the apron. Thanks for viewing.

Thanks to a recent Il-76 (Indian Air Force) freeware release and Philipe Wallaert's 2d panel contained within, I no longer have to use a re-coloured Comet panel:- Happy days!

Nothing special, just some random pictures I took during my last flight north of Lugano. This is the default scenery, no tweaks, no freeware, no nothing. I always longed for a sim with next gen graphics while enjoying FSX and P3D: it seems I found that sim. It's amazing to see all that detail passing by, and smooth too. No pop up, no obvious loading of textures, it's amazing. I had to get used to the different light during daytime (compared to P3D it looks a bit bland) but once you get used to it, it actually feels so much more real, as if the sun is really shining. It seriously is quite hard to go back to P3D graphics, even with Orbx installed.

Flying the Thranda (Dan Klaue) Kodiak. The new lighting in XP11 is pretty good, I think.

All default except the clouds.

I am using Aerosoft Dublin which works well except for strange squares around some airport lights at night. Fantastic immersion in this sim. If you are on the fence with X-Plane 11, hit the buy button.

I'm a FS/Prepar3D simmer since more then 25 years. Once, I gave Xplane 10 a try while it was on sale but it never gave me the visual, flight dynamics satisfaction (perhaps satisfaction is the wrong word, "habitude would be more appropriate) as I was with P3D. So my total flying time in Xplane is below 1h... Untill now, this beta of 11 came out for the public. WOW, night stuff is stunning! The new rendering engine is such a gorgeous piece of gamechanger and really gives you a real world feeling (at night). Give this beta a try and enjoy it like I did.
