The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Lately, I have got quite emboldened,...🙂..., by watching our (virtual) fliers, here, arrive into their destinations (whether big city or small towns - airports, or even tiny bush strips in the middle of nowhere), safely and effortlessly(?), while, often, simultaneously, challenged by their (opaque) windshields, (completely) crusted with solid ice, in addition to, of course, near-zero-visibility (weather) conditions, outside. So, I thought to myself, why not try a similar challenge, maybe not with a frozen windshield (not daring enough to try it), but, still make it just a bit exciting,...and, my mind drifted to a few mountainous locales that have been (always) of interest…

I grabbed this shot while on my recent test flight after the hotfix. And every time I look at it, it gives me a little shiver down the spine. I realise I've sort of unintentionally managed to grab an image that totally evokes my childhood. I lived in Southend from the age of 5 to 20, so my really formative years. This was the period from mid 50s to the beginning of the 70s, so I was the sort of young boy reading war stories in the comics and books of the day, with plenty of derring-do involving Spitfies and the like. I was also an avid plastic model kit builder, so I almost certainly had several kits of these things back then. And in this shot I can see the pier…

Little flight , LSZH - LSMA , i'm the number one enemy of small planes , "military forces" from this forbidden base will not appreciate my visit . Maybe others will like it more? (reference , even if I don't think it's necessary to specify here) "The Air Base Alpnach (ICAO code LSMA) is a Swiss Air Force airfield near the town Alpnach in Canton of Obwalden in Switzerland. It has a concrete runway with a length of 1,500 meters (4,900 ft) and a width of 40 meters (130 ft), as well as several taxiways and hangars." Not long enough apparently for someone without thrust reversal 😄 But I didn't drown in the lake this time ....... I think these…

A few shots after leaving LFRD for Guernsey, looking for boats. For a long distance out of St Malo harbor, the sea appeared to be very shallow. T45

This should probably be two separate posts as its two different areas/subjects. The first is Tampa Bay FL and is more about the clouds. The second set (the next three) are San Fran to KSTS area (default MSFS in both cases).

The airfield is 4 nm ahead, perpendicular to the shore 😃. Of course you go and land, you are no chicken. And you do well, the runway is at he edge of the front with a wind pushing it away. I love the tropics.
