The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Some different views and things I don't normally do with the camera system. Hope you enjoy! This flightsim community is just amazing. After the creator of the Ever Given accident got scolded a few times over on flightsim.to for using the wrong ship, (which was not his fault, as the Ever Given was not part of the AI ship traffic), he turned to Hendrik Nielsen for help. Hendrik in turn quickly created the correct Ever Given texture and sent it to him. This scenery now shows the ship almost fully afloat again 😉

[Note: This is quite an incredible story that I came across while looking around, into "Old" Frontier Airline's history (please see my previous post). And, as I'd indicated there, that curiosity was prompted to me after catching sight of a DC-3 (USAF military version C-47), interestingly, repainted in the color of the "Old" Frontier Airlines. The repaint belongs to a "Memorial Repaint Collection" as tribute to Mr. Frank Gonzalez, who was a prolific repainter of numerous classic aircraft. To appreciate the depth and breadth of Frank's repainting, "CalClassic" has neatly placed them together, in one place, (if you wish, please visit the CalClassic website, then down the web…

Found a really good place to practice with the H135. It's just a couple of miles north of KMEV, up by Lake Tahoe. Having watched a few videos now and with nobody recommending any special sensitivity settings for the controllers, I guess I'll just have to practice like crazy until I get a real feel for it on my system. So the poor folk in this hut are in for some aggravation over the coming weeks! Sorry, little pixel people!

[Note: This post is motivated by the sighting, this week, of a DC-3/C-47 repaint, in the "Old" Frontier livery. If you're curious about this bit of history, please review this text or/and you may jump (directly) to the 727 images, below.] Most of us are well-familiar with those (remarkably) striking pictures of animals, adorning the Tails of the "New" Frontier Airlines fleet. I read today, "We are happy to welcome our newest members to the Frontier family: Francie the Piping Plover, Crystal the Florida Manatee, and Hudson the Bog Turtle."...sounds "cute" and interesting...! I clearly recall, while in Chicago, having travelled, once or twice, in Frontier (Airbus) p…

This is so much fun. Still practicing with this, can mostly get away clean now, can even do a reasonable hover after take-off, but coming to a hover and landing anywhere accurately still escapes me. Think I need to figure out the sensitivity controls for my stick a bit better. I really need to get this working, the drone cam is great but this adds a whole other dimension to viewing the scenery, and once I get proper control of it, the combination of this, replay, and the drone cam are going to mean I may never see real daylight again! A couple around Southend Pier A few from Wycombe (EGTB) off to EGLL Eton and Windsor Castle just ahead And so…

While checking things out after the hotfix, in the Spitfire over London, I paused at one point and went sightseeing. I do have the Orbx London Landmarks package in use here but I believe the London Eye is a native POI in the UK upgrade. And rather fine it is. Been a very long time since I lived or worked in Lunnun, lots of it I simply don't recognise now. As with most folk dealing with the passing of time I feel sad about how some of it has changed (I go visit occasionally via Google Earth) but it ain't all bad. Some of it really did need knocking down. Either way, wild horses couldn't drag me back there now, even for a da…

H135 0.81, and the new Aerosoft EDER. Seem to have less control with the 0.81 version than I did before, pedals don't seem to do much now in any of the modes. I shall be off to watch a view youtubes after posting this. I keep telling myself it can't be any different to learning to ride a bike/motorbike. I remember riding my first motorbike (well, my first without the additional support of a sidecar wheel, which was how you got to legally ride a 650 on a learner licence back in the '60s in the UK) extremely cautiously around the big car park out back of the sales place. Went perfectly fine until I tried to turn a corner and then down I went. Well, you didn't have to lean a…

Can't quite decide whether to go for the Milviz Corsair or not. I quite like it as an aircraft, in a fugly sort of way. What I'd really love to see is a similar quality FW190 or better still, a P51D (again, preferably a modded civilian version like the wonderful A2A version). But if anybody comes up with a repaint like this for the Milviz I'll probably have to give in. These are from AFS2, which is where I shall go for now if I need a Corsair fix.
