Huge thanks to Fred Clausen and Richard Host, for the excellent code! It was a huge task but we/they got them going. Here is what you do: For use on the AVSIM Support Forum: #http://www.pic767flyingclub.com/fc.php?vatsim=XXXXXX&indicator=OD1&a=pic767.jpg#Replace XXXXXX with your Vatsim PID Number and remove the # at the begining and end of the line.-------------------------------For the flying club forum:#img src="http://www.pic767flyingclub.com/fc.php?vatsim=XXXXXX"# Change # to < at the beginning of the line and # to > at the end and put in your signature file. I know there are a lot of you out there that do not fly on-line. And, I understand the issues many have with it. They range from bad internet connections and complicated software setups to intimidation and lack of understanding of how it all comes together. And I suppose some would rather stay in their own world with "their" traffic. For me, flying on-line has completely changed my appreciation for this hobby. Without the ability to link to the rest of the world, I would spend about one tenth the time and nearly all of the excitement would be gone as Flight Sim would become just a game.If any of you who do not currently fly on-line would like to give it a try, there …

This is the website of the ASRS, aviation safety reporting system. It is used by airline pilots and controllers, any pilot for that matter can use it. Most of the reports each month come from Air Carrier/Air Taxi Pilots. If you screw up, you can report the incident within ten days and it becomes your ace in the hole, free ticket out of jail, whatever you want to call it. So, if the FAA wants to take your license away for your screw up, altitude bust, runway incursion, whatever... all you have to do it present them with your copy of the report you filed. You can only use it once every 5 years. You can report all you want, but if you have to use one, your ace in the hole,…

  9. We've soft launched the simradar.com site, it's been almost 10 months when we started it all. Currently It is being loaded with URL's from Flight simulation related sites, and some new categories are being added daily. Forums are empty (but we plan on doing a Sync with Usenet Flightsim related newgroups) You will notice the PIC influence everywhere. From, news, to the sites added, even the Polls, this announcement is only being made in the PIC forum. I've been a long time simmer, and since FS2002 and PIC I felt the need for better flightsim sites where information was easy to find (forums, search engine, downloads) for those of you who use the search features of the Flig…

Hi Folks, I have just purchased the PIC767 Thursday and finally got it installed Friday. I have a question in reference to the download package. Does the newest DL package contain all the upgrade patches, etc, or are there still other patches that I should obtain? As I am a newcomer to the PIC767 I haven't been able to digest all the related notes posted on this forum and am hoping that some of the PIC767 technical folks may respond. The 67+ MB download file did contain a 5+MB upgrade but I'm not exactly sure how current this puts me. I would appreciate any comments you folks may offer. Thanks and Regards

How do you usually deal with 250 - 10000 restriction on decends? I usually change the restriction to 240 - 13000 on the VNAV decend page so the engines will go idle around FL145 and this usually gives me 240-260 at FL100, but sometime it doesn't if the wind won't co-operated!What's your technique?

Hi,Don't you believe that the forthcoming networked gauges will open an extraordinary new field especially for VATSIM and other virtual airlines?. Is it a crazy idea to think about a pilot instructor sitting in the co-pilot seat and supervising a would-be pilot all using networked gauges. One could think about the training possibilites, rating possibilities, setting of unusual situations (sudden malfunctions set by the instructor) etc.... I believe it will be a tremendous opportunity for VATSIM. Mike, I know you are fully booked but let me tell you it would be sad if VATSIM were to miss this opportunity.Michael

Okay, I bought the 767PIC in 2000 for use with FS2000 and it worked great and then I got 2002 and I got an upgrade for free and it worked great, and now I've got FS2004 and no upgrade... what a bunch of lousy jerks not to support a 4 year old product. Jerks. Jerks. Jerks. They should consider themselves lucky that I even continue to fly their cruddy plane since I also own every commercial product ever developed for FS, Fly!, X-Plane and X-Box.And what a bunch of lousy jerks not to post workarounds on this forum so that we can at least use the product to work with FS2004.Jerks Jerks JerksGuy who posts once in awhile when he wants something NOW

Saturday, September 13Nairobi Kenya to Tel-AvivThis is the flight I have been promising Ilan Jonas in recognition of his team bringing VATIL on line earlier this year. The time scheduled is a compromise to allow for ATC availability and local time zones in North America. Israel is plus 3 hours GMT. I am arranging for ATC out of Nairobi but we may have a couple center areas uncovered in route over Ethiopia and Sudan. I always enjoy flying in new areas of the world and this flight will give us a chance to cover some new real estate. We start at Jomo Kenyatta airport, the epicenter for real world safaris, in Nairobi Kenya which is about 100 miles north of Mt. Kilimanjar…
