Hello to all of you folks here in the forum, it's my first topic about Fly!II, so i'll get on with it. A couple of days ago i installed Fly!II on my laptop( eMachines with AMD Athlon 2650e CPU, 2GB RAM, ATI X1200 mobility Radeon GPU ), wich is running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit version. After the graphics/display settings screen, the splash screen with the fuel gauge showing loading progress, a pop-up window appears, displaying a message that alerts to some kind of exception that prevents the game from running. You can see it in the print-screen i've attached to this topic.I tried all compatibility modes available, but the result was the same, as well as all graphic option …

I am trying to add a new airport to the FLY! II data files. I have added the required data line to the Airport pod and the required data line to the Runway pod, but when I try to fly to the new airport the runway and its lights do not appear. All I can see at the new airport is the rotating beacon. I am not interested at this point worrying about taxiways or other scenery. I can not find any documentation on adding an airport. Can anyone tell me what I am failing to do?LarryG

Hi Guys,After installing Fly2 with the Simvol discs I get a ctd and in the gtfo txt get the following message. The ctd seems to be random sometimes I am able to fly but mostly not.Msg: Fatal error caused by .DLL "modules\pc\GLASS_COCKPIT _1-v1.4.dll" in DLLKill routine.File: Dllman.cpp line 343Time: Fri Apr 29 20:42:20 2011errno = 2 (No such file or directory) Anyone has any ideas? I have flown about with the Cessna for the last two days, and I must say that this is a LARGE step up in the correct direction. Really nice job on the cockpit. Everything is nicely laid out and works in all views. Did notice the plane seems a bit sluggish yet - especially on ground handling. Also, appears to be a little bit under powered. I was successful in getting a Fly!II podfile of scenery in my area into the sim, although my particular airport did not show the runways. But the TerraScene scenery itself displayed nicely. I had to utilize the older SQL databases so I could fly in the USA area. I can say that the older SQL files work, but not as well as the lim…

Fly Legacy will not load and I get a 'will not initiate' error message. I have tried removal and re-installation a couple of times with no success. I have did a fresh install of Fly!II patched to V.240 before attempting the installation of Fly Legacy and it runs fine. I am running it on an HP Core 2 Duo laptop with 1 GB of RAM.Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can get it to start?Cheers,

Happy new year everyone! May 2011 be prosperous and safe for you and yours!Over the holiday, I relocated my FLY! software. I tried to run it on my WIN7 machine with the WIN7 OS and then I attempted to run it in emulated WIN98 mode. Of course, neither worked. Has anyone succeeded in getting FLY! to work in WIN7? If so, how? Also, jog this ancient memory for me... Was FLY2 a patch or download? Also, were there patches to just FLY1 and if so, where could I find those?Thanks for any assistance!

Hi Laurent, Didier, et. al. Where would you like us to begin posting bug reports for Legacy? Here or over at the SimVol forum? Right now, four things are standing out right off. 1. If I goof the keys & Buttons settings, and click on the default keys or buttons, the entire section clears, not resetting to default assignments.2. I see the message with 4 patches to get to final patch but the first one needs version 210 installed beforehand. That seems to have been hacked/missing from AVSIM. I have the US version so need that "all inclusive" patch to get to 210.

It occurred to me, as I was struggling to help the Library recover with some file uploads, that there were some major pieces for Fly! missing from the File Library. These weren't just sceneries and liveries, but whole programs! It doesn't help new users of TerraModels-created airport sceneries if the required programs and support pieces (TerraModel's texture files and Biber Salsa's models, for instance) are missing from the library, let alone the TerraModels program itself. Hi all,Things are warming up here : Chris has prepared a (basic) public Fly!Legacy version and an automatic friendly installer that makes things much easier to manage.Now, after the install process the user is able to set the joystick and start to test the program without anymore fuss or hassle (i.e. copy and move files around).I've tested it longly and it works fine : the tests that we'll make this very next days should give us the possibility to schedule a public version soon (very soon I reckon).The basic version is complete but many features that we developped these last month will be avalaible only as additional files. Most of time if I'll start Fly!2 (inclusive all of ROTW) for example at Nantes-airport (France) there is a crash with another dynamic aircraft model at startposition and my own aircraft is damaged.How can I prevent this buggy behaviour? Researching the internet I found MGMaps. This software allows you to download images (Satellite) of an entire country or continent from GoogleMaps, and Microsoftmaps Yahoomaps shaped tiles with the zoom you want. With MGMaps define the area you want and the download to the directory that you tell him. For my sceneriy got a lot of pictures of a very small area with a lot of zoom to get definition. Then I had to join all the images in Photoshop for a large area definition. The interesting thing is that you MGMaps low area, country, continent you want, with the zoom level you want. All in one step. Fly would be interesting if the tiles could be used as scenery from MGMaps…
