Hi all. I've been using Richard Mohammed's AFCAD files with great success. However, the KDCA (Reagan) has me baffled. The file contains 50 or so gates, and my computer will show them at the gates. But when an AI aircraft starts to move from the gate, or lands, it will disappear. It doesn't matter how many gates are unoccupied. I don't have enough flights into the airport to max it out. Yet every aircraft that lands will disappear as it turns off the runway. And, as I said, when the aircraft leaves a gate, it will disappear.I've never seen this phenomenon before. Restoring the default KDCA solves the problem. I've e-mailed Richard, but he has yet to respond.Any AFCAD wizar…

hello all, reading dan walloch,s letter, can you tell me how i change the flightplan txt file in fs 2002, i am learning about afcad and have done an overlay for klax, 6Lla,7R la,7L t/o and 6r t/o, it works great but of course i only have ai traffic on the south side,i can,t at the moment seem to get my head around useing ttools and i must be a bit thick !! because i can,t make head nor tail of the project ai web site!!! i know what i want to do but can,t at moment seem to be able to do it , thanks.

Anyone have any luck with this program?? I am currently using it...and it is easy to nav. Should I decompile at the start of every session or is it something else. Thanks Jeff (USAirson) Price :-eek

Use to have MSFS2k2 installed and had ttools installed...but I remember an editor that I had..I am not sure it was with ttools..but I can't find it in the File Library. It was a nice little editor that you could program FL, airports, etc. It had several tabs for airports, aircrafts, etc. Unfortunately it is not any of the editors in the file library either. Hello all,i was a reasonably active flightsimmer up to summer 2000, due to time constraints (university), and a old PC which couldn't run FS2000, I've been inactive up to now and I want to start again, also as I have a up-to-date PC again.I ditched FS2000 seeing that this has been superseeded by FS2002 in this time while I was inactive.One of the main attractions for me in FS2002 was the AI traffic. So when I installed my copy of it, I started adding AI and editing the airfields using AFCAD (tried 1.3 and 1.4). Here my problem started. I wanted to install some of the PAI aircraft, but all that I can find are the textrue files which all say that the model is needed for them. I have been everywhere on the PAI website, but cannot find the models to use with the textures. Where might I find these models?Thanks.Tim13

Has anyone experienced the violent groundlooping exhibited by some AI aircraft in that just as they approach the runway threshold they suddenly climb about 300 feet before thumping down on the concrete?It doesn't happen with all aircraft, just some. Could it be that the AIR file requires adjustment?JohnEGXP

I'm using afcad for gates and to designate runways for take off and landings, but how do I get airplanes to use both paralell runways for landings and take offs. Is there a way to override FS need for the longest runway.

After doing a complete re-install on my comp and running the voicepack exe., my anti-virus is telling me that it contains a virus (Win32:Alcaul-A4 [Wrm]) Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm very, very, new to the wholt TTools/AI part of FS, so forgive me if this is a basic question.I have TTool in a folder of it's own, and when I ran the Dcompiler exec the first time, it created the acft and flight plan text files. If I modify either of these files, and then run the Dcompiler, will it overwrite these files with the current ones in the traffic.bgl? Is the correct procedure to Dcompile, modify the text files, and then recompile? I'm a little confused as to how to keep track of changes to be able to go back to a previous aircraft and flight plant text file. How do you guys do it?Thanks.Tim13

Help! I am lost. :-eek My PAI installer worked just fine till now. Today I wanted to install some new PAI files but double clicking the PAI installer.exe till my finger hurts but nothing happens. I tried to use the old and latest version but nothing happens. First time clicking I get the 5 dll files but then nothing! Nada! What am I doing wrong?? I am running Windows 2000 Pro, DirectX 9a. I have downloaded a FSP 742 in BA livery, which does not show up, when used as AI. But It is no problem to use this airrcraft as active plane. I did following testing:- the error is not in the flightplan, as other planes show up when I use themn with the same plan.- the name of the plane in in the aircraft.cfg and in the Aircraft.txt correspond (I have actually copied and pasted the name from the airdraft.cfg file)- I have assigned this particular plane to other flightplans, which work fine with other AI airdraft, and which usually fill airports with AI, but when using them with this plane, the airports are empty. - I have checked posts here in the forum, which report pr…

Hi,Just wondering if someone can help me, I have noticed at one of the airports in FS2002 (YMML) which I fly in/out of alot seems to have a problem with the taxiway that leads onto the runway. Every so often a AI aircraft would reach the end of the taxiway waiting to enter the runway and then not move at all causing the traffic to bank up. After a while the aircraft dissapears and then the traffic moves as normal until about 10 mins later when the next AI gets stuck.Can anyone help me?Thanks

Hi there, do you know if there is a maximum number of AI planes that will showup simultaneously? I've installed about 20 ProjectAI packages of mainly European carriers. When I check in the flightplan.txt I see many dep/arr, but on my airport (EHAM) I only get about 10-15 planes at a time. AI percentage is set to 100%, AITM shows no errors. Any ideas? I would expect EHAM to be very busy. Even that busy I'd have to drop down the ATC percentage....

I had to reinstall FS over the weekend, and decided to take the opportunity to update my AI and install overlays at some of my favorite airports.I had real problems last night, and wonder if I'm missing something. Here's what I did:1. I installed all the PAI Gold install packages availabe in one fell swoop. 2. I used the UAL, Delta and a few other self-installers second. 3. I loaded up FS02 and checked a few airports. Lots of different airplanes in different colours. So far so good. 4. HiI have noticed in testing out my custom flightplans that at my small airport (CYXC), when aircraft starts, the pilot states "Ready to copy IFR clearance to ...where ever", ATC reads clearance and there is a readback. After this taxi instructions are given. However in major airports I am working with, (CYYC and CYVR) no "Ready to copy .. dialog takes place .. only taxi intructions. Do others experience this as well or know why?Also I am having quite a bit of trouble with the GMT times. They seem too change randomly from what I enter in the .txt file to what is compiled. It's become a real hit& miss thing. Anyone else having this problem.TIAVern

I have recently installed the winter schedule for Continental airlines and now I get 2 aircraft sitting one on top of each other at various gates. I have tried to use AITM for duplicate flights but don't know how to fix the problem.Why is this happening and how can I correct it?
