I have eliminated a particular duplicate AFCAD file using the Scanafd utility, but it is still listed in the Scenery.cfg file. Can I just delete this entry without screwing up the whole file or is there anotherway to go about it ?Thanks,John

Hello everybody.This is my first post on this forum.I'm beginner in scenery creation and have some problems with this soft i'm trying to use.My version: 5.1 patched with 5.32 patched with 5.6.I've made exclude layer 8 for default lines, declared an exclude scenery folder, all it's ok,I've created some lines: roads and seashores layer 32.In my scenery folder I've 2 bgl created: _9001.bgl and _9002.bgl, but nothing appears in my scenery.What do i do wrong?Can somebody help me?RegardsBenjiPS: excuse my poor english, i'm french.

Gentle Beings...I have a very peculiar problem. I had to re-install FS9, so I moved all my important stuff to a temp folder, then after re-installation I moved it back. Now my AFCAD 2.21 doesn't seem to see my addon scenery/scenery folder. when I start AFCAD and open an airport that I know has at least one "mod", all I see is the default file. I have no idea what to do about this. Any and all help will be GREATLY appreciated.I am neither for nor against apathyBe alert,,,the world needs more lerts

Hi New here to the forum. I have a particular scenery that I have contacted the person who created it and gave me permission to make changes if can (he cant locate his source files) and he gave me permission to decompile it if it can be. (he doesnt know how). The scenery was created for FS9 using airport for windows. So its in an old format (sca) Anyway the problem is the scenery he did I am also redoing for FS9 and I was wanting to just add my own stuff to his and reuse some of the building he made. Hi,I have to admit I'm totally new to scenery design so please be patient with me :-)I installed the FSX SDK and Sbuilder for FSX. In Sbuilder I was able to load background maps or satellite images and to draw a Polygon somewhere around Frankfurt Rhein-Main Airport (I wanted to create an exclude in the near forrest or to make a small lake south of the airport just for testing Sbuilder).After creating the polygon I right clicked on one of it's corners and chose "Properties". But I got no menu regarding to the type of polygon (flatten, water, exclude or whatever). And in the compile-dialog I only could start FSX, but could not compile into a BGL file.Did I miss anything? This file is included with bmp's in the FSX Textures folder. I like the look of the airport fences a lot, but don't know how to use this file to generate a line of fence. Is there anyone who knows how to generate this code? Or is the simple solution to capture a fence image and and generate my own (DXT1 again) bmp?

Hi all,Let me preface my problem by saying that I am relatively new to custom scenery object design but not to object placement.I am using FS9 along with FSDS3 and EZ Scenery. The problem I am runnign into is this:After placing my custom scenery objects with EZS into my "airport.bgl" file, restart FS9 and all is well. I add some of the EZS freeware objects to the "airport.bgl" file and all looks good.To test my "airport.bgl" file, I removed my "custom object library.bgl" file from the FS9 scenery folder, restarted FS9 and find that all of my "custom objects" have vanished BUT the freeware EZS objects are still there. I designed a custom tower textured with a standard bitmap.It has DXT1 with alpha textures, produced with DXTBMP.In FS9 it looks great. In FSX it has a black single pixel? outline where the alpha mask changes from black to white.FSX treats all my GMAX DXT1 with alpha stuff like this but not their own towers. I am going to try their textures when I can find them. I use DirectX9.0c.I saw a 2004 post by rhumbaflappy to Holger blurring some edges and using imagetool. I have a different idea that perhaps some DirectX setting or something else is whacked, because the towers look perfect in FS9.Anyone else have this problem? I've been using the excellent mesh (v.3) and base scenery (v.2) from the Hellas Scenery Project group. It is superb but I've run across a texture problem at LGMR - Marathion (closed - thankfully) where the runway and taxiways are water texture (see attached)and also many problems with the positioning of AFCAD generated scenery files, for example, this is at LGAV - Athens.There is also a deepish dip in the runway at LGPZ. I've posted the HSP group about it and await their comments. In the meantime I wonder if anyone else has experienced similar problems. I'm reluctant to uninstall since the scenery overall really is superb. What to do?

Hi,Is for FS9 and could at last make a lake in FS9 with SBuilder205.First I had to downscale the file because my lake was too large. Using the measure tool. However it is not so easy to draw a waterpolygon at the wanted dimension.At last I could make a lake outside an addon airport area.... but not inside this scenery.Is it possible, and how ? This is how it will look circa 2030 or later. The first phase has the two runways on the right, and the long one is not going to be that long. Would it be possible to create an installation of FSX where only a white mesh was rendered and with No objects or Autogen, This would allow me and other users of 3rd party software to load up and check out how our Custom objects or Models appear in FSX; without the wait time.I would like to have the game load up to a location where I could test my objects, with or without a plane maybe to see how the object looks or to see how the plane reacs to the object...Right now I have Batch files that modify the dll.xml to load 1 of 3 different configurations depending on weather I'm using the SDK or FSUIPC, Perhaps some other CFG. files could be stripped of their commands to allow…

Kai Tak airport is a quite challenging airport to land and a quite complicated scenery to make. I found that combining two sceneries, Kai Tak 98 and Kai Tak 2000, Version 3 (kaitak.zip) for fs2000 creats the best result. I am unfamiliar with scenery design so I just combine them by deleting files. Unfortunately, some areas are very bad after the combination. I know I am very unfamiliar with scenery design and I have to ask for permission from the two scenery designers, it is a difficult job to be done. Can someone help me to complete this scenery?

I got 0 responses to this on the FSX Forum...can anyone help here?Keyboard Letter S and Button 2 on my Microsoft Sidewinder joystick are programmed to View(Next category).I cannot see any relation between the camera definitions in the aircraft config file and the series of views I see when I step through by pressing Button 2.My Beech Baron's aircraft cfg has no relation to the categories I see. I see VC, Locked Spot, a Nearest Airport, and a Right Wing and I want to change these and add a fith Custom view into the category string.I have custom views already for some aircraft. That is not my problem. It is how to program/redefine the string of views for a specific aircraft…

Hi all!I am building my first airport in AFCAD, the future KPFN, and need to know how to set the runway alignments to magnetic north. The included help file is nice but says nothing about how to align the runways. I am trying to align 3-12 but is follows the same alignment as 16-34. What am I missing? Hi everybodymy annotator seems to half works.In fact I can access to the Library and make a default autogen which work fine.The button building works only with "set default" option which return"default autogen 1 roof"vegetation ,polygon , raw houses do not works .and the set Guid button return :"GUID NULL"I turn around since hours with the autogen configurator with no sucess.I have downloded the framework.net 2.0thanks for helpDo
