i have created photo scenery using sbuilder, used autogen annotator to place trees etc, i have built a objects houses castles etc for inclusion with fsx, i am using gmax, thought it was the way to go, but now with deluxe sdk it seems i cannot export to fsx, i have read and read, just want someone to confirm wether or not i can export a textured object to fsx. thanx

Is it possible to make a hillside in FS9, instead of the usual sheer rock faces that are produced using flatten files? For instance, here I'd like the cliff faces in the foreground to be slopes, as in the far background, not rock walls. Just started to learn Gmax, great prg however:Everytime I've finished a project and export it into fs2004 the textures are not showed :(The new 3d object is there but not the textures.Used the new material and UVW mapping, looks all perfect in Gmax itselfs but it's not in fs.I also copied the base texture file(s) wich I used (tried bmp and jpeg as well) into the addon scenery/texture map but that doesnt work either.Any idea's ?tiaAndr

when using photoimages taken with sbuilderx the files dont show up in the anotator the autogen editor in sdk, i worked out you need to move the default xml into the folder for autogen and that you need to rename the files su or they must contain su but if i put the sbk file back into sbuilderx to do a exclude or anything else it doesnt know the file has been renamed, i tried renaming the notepad files that have the long name sorry i dont know half the tech terms, it still doesnt see the file, i just took the long number file and placed an su before the .bgl, hope this is understandable.

sorry if this has been asked before, i have done photo scenery for my home city, not the best satalitte imagery ive seen, so want to make the forests and fields fsx scenery, tried sbuilder with its lc textures, proably doing something wrong again, any help would be appreciated, have all the water ways mapped and shorelines lined up, just needs a little bit more.

at startup,message appears,says cant find fsx...also can't get any satellite maps on...won't dwnload or something....put all the sbuilder files to share and also put all folders to security for all...still no go...I am running windows vista 32 home premium fsx acceleration and i have the sdk tools,sdk sp1a,sdk sp2.sdk for acceleration.also updated net frame....still nothing

i have created photo scenery for my home city, i have placed an alpha channel on the maps to get rid of the water, with ultimate terrain installed, i used its tool to auto replace any default terrain that remained, i now have my home town photo scenery, after of course using photoshop to match the colours for each tile, but now there is the old coast line, a white squiggly line, how do i get rid of this, i have been using sbuilderX310 to place the scenery, thanx

A quick question -The default hangars which show at the Bellingham, Washington airport (KBLI) - see attached screenshot - do not appear in the generic.bgl file.I would like to use them as a placeable "object" but cannot locate them. Are they hard coded somewhere in the system and thus not available or have I overlooked something?Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi all.The SBuilder 205 revision 06 full install is at the AVSIM Library as 'sbuilderfs9.zip'. This is a simple all inclusive download of the last version of SBuilder for FS2004. You need to have FS2004 installed on your computer, and having FSUIPC 3.xx added lends it's functionality to SBuilder.Just unzip to a desired harddrive location and enjoy. Sorry ahead of time if my questions are nieve, I'm a newbie as far as modding in flight sims. I have just finished my first building for fs9, (Hanger for C5's) in z-modeler and saved to .3ds so I could import to gmax and save to a format with which to make my .bgl's but the textures don't seem to cross with the .3ds file. Is there anyway to import the textures with the building or do I have to learn to do my textures in gmax? (Be kind of a bummer as I've been using z-modeler for quite some time now and have yet to even make a square in gmax.) Hi, I recently encountered a scenery problem.I have two overlapping sceneries of the same mountain (Alps by Frank). Scenery A only covers the top. Scenery B covers a larger area including the top and foot. Since I prefer A to B, I put A over B in scenery option. Everything works perfectly from a distance, as you can see from the first pic attached. But when I fly near, the top part of B pops up suddenly over A, as you can see from the second pic. How can this happen when the priority of A is higher? I guess it might be because the resolution of B is higher than A, so FSX automatically shift to the higher resolution even though its priority is lower. I have post this probl…

I'm using Rwy12 to place objects for a new FS9 scenery. It uses libraries to source files. However, I have a .bgl file which is not in any of the libraries. I know how to make an .xml from this .bgl and I can adjust the lat/lon values using xml code but I cannot find a way of placing the object. Do I just whack the .xml file into Addon Scenery/scenery or must I compile first? I'm using SBuilder for VTP/LWM polys but for object placement it wants rwy12 or library objects. As I say, these I have not got - just a .bgl and an .xml file. I'd prefer not to have to learn another program :(

I have modified my KBUF AFCAD to accomidate ultimate terrain x changes however I have just one problem. The roadway that is supposed to flow between the terminal and parking garage instead goes right through the terminal. (see image below). So I tried moving the terminal back in ADE however another exact duplicate of the terminal and the parking garage in their original position appeared in FSX. If anybody can fix this PM me and i'll email you the AFCAD with all the modifications already made. PM me if you have any questions. Hello All,Is it possible in FS9 to modify the default ATC approaches in FS9 so that I have more options for transitions, etc, when being given an initial approach clearance? Basically, I want to have the option to add "transitions" to act like the end of a STAR and be on a more fluid approach rather than the default FS9's method of vectoring me all over the place starting about 75-100 nm out on the approach. I would like to be able to select a transition from the FS9 ATC menu (that I create) and fly more realistic approaches. Thanks in advance for any help. Adam

Can anyone tell me what HLnnnnnn.BGL files (eg HL947100.bgl) in FS9\scenery\eurw\scenery depict and where each one is located in the World view?I ask because I have a number of such files backed up but they are not included in the above location and I don't want to just put them in in case some of my 3rd party scenery has disabled them.I while ago I was searching for something else and came across a post where someone had included a World map view showing a grid for the location of FS9 basic scenery files but didn't make a note of the post.TIA

Hi everyone,I have a little problem that keeps bugging me and so far I have no solution to it.I'm running FS9 (FS2004) on my machine. Here are the specs:WIN XP Pro SP3AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 4000+ at 2.11 GHz3GB of RAM DDR2 at 800MHzNVidia GeForce 9500GT 512MB of RAMWestern Digital HD 250GBand the problem is low frame rates with some sceneries. For example I don't have low frame rates problems with some complex airports like Aerosofts Cologne/Bonn or Aerosofts Leipzig/Halle (with most of the airports that are from Aerosofts GA2 pack I have at least 15fps with ActiveSky weather engine running and complex airplanes like PMDG 737 flown from VC). I have installed the Haifa airport LLHA Ver 10a and the North Israel Landclass so as to allow me to fly to and from this airport. When I go to the airport I find a telephone pole on the western end of the runway.I have tried to remove this series of telephone poles but with no sucess. They are not in the airports .BGL's and I cannot detect where they may be contained with the landclass files.I have tried to install an exclusion program called "Exclusion Box" which creates an object with Instant Scenery but do not know where to put this file nor how to operate this object placement or exclusion.any help would be appreciated.

A little background info: I am working in FS9, using limited resourses as my old computer fried. :( and I lost some of my programs.I'm doing a remake of KMRB, Eastern WVa Regl/ Shepherd airport, as they have made big changes there. I'm having problems getting rid of the runway/taxiway signs. I used ExBuilder V2 to get rid of the default tower, which worked fine, but I can't get it to get rid of the signs. Could someone possibly consider doing an exclude for me just for the signs? Or explain to me what am I missing. If a copy of the failed XML would help I coud post that. Thanks Johnny V

Hi everyone I was wondering on how to see a runway in fs2004 after you have added it with afcad. Here's my issue I have imagine sim KCLT or Charlotte/Douglas International Airport I recently found out that charlotte is undergoing a new runway. I decided to make the runway with afcad and when i activated the scenery it did not add the runway (seeing wise) you can see the runway on the map and of course on afcad. But when I got to Charlotte/Douglas theres no runway. Please Help!!! lol
