    Hi, I'll try the scenery design forum also, since the problem is scenery related I believe. I've been getting this "FS9 Failed to Read from File Error" message quite regularly now. I get a CTD if I press the button to acknowledge the error, and loose all scenery data from that point on if I attempt to continue the flight without pressing on the little error "OK" button that pops up on a little warning window. I have been trying to take a look at what triggers this, with a nice little program called Filemon, but since I am not an expert on the subject, I am not sure what to look for.     In my continuing quest to make my version of KORF, I'm having a bit of an issue. It seems that, even when I have deleted the object, the autogenerated default terminal still shows up. However, when I draw an exclusion rectangle around the area and click the box marked "All," all of my jetways disappear. I am using ADE.Is there a way to make this autogen building go away without clearing out my jetways?

    hey, my VA is based at princess juliana airport. i have been flying alot around there lately and every time i got given the rwy 9 visual approach, this was fine until i got given a rwy 27 approach in a 737 :( . i believe that this approach and runway is not used in real life?? at least not for airliners anyway. my question is is there a way to change some setting or file to make it so that rwy 27 appears 'closed' to ATC? i know that i could just change the wind but i use real world weather so this isnt always possible. i believe it has something to do with an AFCAD file? or some other type of scenery file. thanks for any help, PhilipP.S had a quick look around to see if a…

    Hello, all. EZ Scenery had the ability to add imported wav files as ambient sounds into FS2004. I was wondering if there existed a program that allowed you to do the same for FSX. I'm not really into hardcore scenery design, but I liked the ability to easily add sounds such as lapping water against a seaplane dock or the cries of gulls in the vicinity. It really added to the immersion on seaplane flights and I was hoping to find a way to do it for FSX as well. Thanks!Jon

    Hi, After hitting a wall in trying to figure out my "failed to read form file" problems I decided to get a new graphics card (Radeon HD 4550 to substitute an X800). I did this also, since the card was acting up generally, so it needed changing anyway. I installed it and things work way better, to the point that the program has not crashed with the infamous error message, but I do get this weird looking textures. Can anybody give me an idea of what may be causing this? I think it may be related to my previous file problem. I am using FS9, with XP Home, and a 3GHz, Pentium 4 single core.     I got Flight1 a while ago, thanks to Opa, and decided to add some stuff onto my airport here, but out of all the stuff in the default "generic.bgl" library, there's no stock hangars, the GA ones. I wonder why? Sure, you can put in new default fuel pumps, but hangars? Opa gave me a small program which adds them one at a time, like his windsock/beacon tower, but I'd rather add the hangars in Flight1, in real-time, during Slew Mode. Has anyone dealt with this? What have you done? I gave up using non-default stuff because it hogs processor and affects framerates badly, no matter what Scenery Density setting I use. Ack!

So i figured I would create an airport and put as many parking spots as repaints i have (1556 repaints)I created my traffic files, with AC# going from 1 to 1557 and also my flightplans file taking care of all aircraft.In the Airports file, I put the created airport "CMBP" with the exact data of what I put in AFCAD 2.21.I made a flatten and exlcude in SBuild and that worked fine.Made my AFCAD file, created 3 runways, apron, taxi links.Started by making 63 Heavy Gates.     when i have the edit uvw window open i have my id shapes, but i was wondering the little squares where each line joins, can i get rid of these, when i do a ctrl and print screen to export to photoshop, the squares remain in the screen captureand i then have to paint them out, they didnt appear in the bill womack tut even when i tried his tut, any ideas, thanx.

    Does deleting a single default BGL remove only one airport or does it remove more than that? I have been trying to remove a default airport, and my excludes don't seem to work so I resorted to removing the BGL linked with that airport, but I want to make sure I didn't remove anything else. Thanks!(Replacing the default airport with a reworked version of my own, including a new identifier code - cannot get the original one to disappear unless I remove the original BGL)

    Hi,At the end of the month of November 2008 the new version of the airport of Ostend (EBOS) Belgium, EU, "EBOS_v.3" will be available for download. It will replace EBOS2007Pro_v.2.Two great points of interest:1. The installation will be done now with selfinstallers.2.     Thought I'd mess around with ADE because my home airport, Boulder (KBDU) was severely misaligned with TileProxy and it also had an outdated identifier code. Not too bad for a first time try! Not only is the alignment correct now, but the taxiways are much more accurate, and the parking is much more accurate as well. I also modifed several of the buildings to match the real airports'. The big white building in the middle is part of the scenery, and I haven't figured out how to remove/edit it yet. P.S., does anyone know how to solve the bug where buildings completely disappear from certain viewing angles? Thats why I couldnt get any closer in the screenshots - the buildings…

    I have used sdk FS9 under xp 32 and lately mouved to fsx under vista 64.I am tryng to compile a simple object but i get an error.(here the text)I verfy to have dot and not comma in my international setting also because i normally compile within fsx sdk without problem.If I compile as an aircraft it compile correctly.In gmax units are in meter 1.0I spend some hour but i can't understand the problem is it because i am working with vista 64?
