Hello, this is the first time I write here, I would like to ask how to fix a problem with texturing some parts of a scenery I am creating, the polygons are being made with EOD, the thing is that when I made my own textures for such polygon and applied them, they do not show in FS9, they were made in 1024 x 256 format and compressed in DTX3 both for day and night. I already checked the path just to make sure the source of such textures is correct, saved and made the API, opened FSSC then exported and still they do not show, just blanks, interesting since the terminal building is showing it's textures both for day and night with no problem.     I've started using Scenery Builder and everything was going really well until I tried to do my landclass. Every time I try I get the message "This Point is Outside the Area Coverage for Landclasses!"What does that mean??I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. When I did the tutorial, it all worked fine. Doing the actual project, and I get this. So far as I can tell, everything else is set correctly and I can't think of what I might have missed. Any help in this area would be very much appreciated.

    Hello again to alltitle says pretty much...I'm about to start annotating my photoscenery... but when I open one of the bitmaps for annotation, it gives me an option of what season texture (summer, spring, fall, winter) will I use...does that mean I have to annotate every season texture? or will it just use one, and apply it all to the rest?:( note: this is just for one area... only the textures for the different seasons changed...thanks much

    I remember reading about a beta FSDS version a while back (version 4?), maybe more than a year ago. Does anybody have news whether a new version is really coming? Maybe incorporating more FSX material properties and more functions. I like the program very much (combined with FSDSTweak) and just wish it will improve and not make me search for better alternatives...Thanks all.Sunay

    Hi to all again...I've completed the basic AFCAD and photoscenery of my project... and the next part for me will be to create some elevated terrain (2 hills and an elevated part of a peninsula to be exact)...I'm planning to use SBuilder as users say it can do those... but I'm very much dumbfounded as to how to use it... I don't even know where to begin... :( if there's a tutorial or a guide or something for this version, please point me to it... thanks very much

    I want to create high res ground textures, but I don't see that many tutorials stickys. i want a tutorial from scratch to finish. also i will be using instant scenery 2 after the custom ground textures are finished.i was wondering if it's possible to add tress in the custom ground textures with SBuilderX. or you do that with another software?anyways, here is my first attempt at making custom ground textures. has you can see. there is no longer UTX Canada and Default FSX.why was the ground flat, and it doesn't uses mesh or landclass with it.

  10. hi to all once moreI'm now well underway on my project, and working with autogen will be a part of it...I now have the MS Autogen SDK to place my autogen trees & buildings... but a search reveals of two other autogen placement editors for FS9, namely, Autogen Editor (made by Art Martin) and AGenT... but it seems that both of these programs have disappeared from the net...any thoughts guys? or will the MS autogen annotator will suit my needs just as well?thanks guys

    Have created a photoscenery with Photo Scenery Maker and it looks fine, except for the water areas, because they should be transparent but they aren't. I have now painted the waterareas black on the texturefile and for the watermask-file: land areas are white and water is black. I use Paint Shop Pro for creation of the textures.For converting the textures I use FS2002 resample texture converter and i've set transparent color to black.But still the whole photosceneryarea in flightsim remains opaque.Help!

I know how to add bgl libraries, in my case I used the Rwy12 libs.What makes it difficult is, that the thumbnails for all imported library objects are blank and must be added manually.Does anyone know if there is a download for "ADE-ready" object libraries?

    HiI have tried to register at FSDeveloper but I couldn't get past the anti-spam devices, so I whilst awaiting help from the site admins I thought it would be worth a try to ask here.When I create an exclusion terrain polygon around the airport to exclude autogen and flatten, everything goes fine until I compile. When I compile, a message comes up saying "Cannot find specified file". When I click this away the airport compiles but does not compile the exclusion polygon, as can be seen directly in the scenery, and also by importing the compiled bgl into the ADE again.Any ideas what might be wrong here?ThanksJason

  19. Aloha from Hot Kihei,I have been adding FSX buildings and hangers to various scenery I am developing. The problem is that at certain airports hangers and buildings will hover around two feet above the ground. PHNL is a good example. Using ADE I can add a hanger to one location at PHNL and it is perfect, the base is at ground level. A few hundred feet away the same building floats about two feet above the ground. I guess I can plant trees around the base. :( When using instant scenery 2 the problem does not exist with Generic FSX hangers and buildings at all.     Hello, I'm currently checking out Maps2Bgl program. When I tried to resample to make the scenery Always get black tiles/image. I have follow the available turtorials.... I don't know if I'm missing a step or I doing something wrong while following the steps....... can someone help me or direct me on the right direction?     Hello, I am looking for people with FS9 or FSX to test a project that I am in the process of finishing up. It is a database update for the default FS navigation aids. What it does is updates the station's compass variation, and the navaid position. This would allow the use of current aeronautical charts for VOR navigation in Flight Simulator without becoming off course(Which I've noticed to be a problem).     Is FSX Planner the best out there at the moment? I am finding it extremely difficult to use, especially trying to make aprons. Its too easy to click on the wrong thing (accidentally moving a runway or the entire apron instead of just a point), there doesn't seem to be a way to move your view around while your working without stopping and changing tools, I've spent hours trying to set up an apron to accidentally click wrong and it turns it into a funky mess..trying to fix that deletes the entire apron haha..I know I'm venting a little but it just seems quirky as hell.Its also very difficult to put an imagine in by using just the Lat Longs (I know the designer was working o…

    WEST MALLING SCENERY- MISSING IN ACTION! I Have the RealAir Spitfire XIV - updated to FSX. I can see the runway option for West Malling in the set-up applet and I have the West Malling (start in hanger) mission available.BUT - When I get to the mission - my Spit is sitting amongst trees and bushes in the default scenery.
