    Hi all.Like the subject says, LWMViewer can now display landclass data too. As with any new addition, it's kind of experimental right now so I'd appreciate hearing about any problems people have with it.Apart from 'too darn slow', that is. I know!One interesting mis-feature is that landclass blending requires the mesh it's being displayed on top of to be of a higher LOD than the class data. However, since LC blending falls squarely into the eye-candy category it shouldn't be much of a problem :) Also, LC is *only* displayed on top of elevation data. LC should be autoloaded for FS9 at least.The display of unshaded grey elevation data looks blocky. It's a side-effect of the…

    Hi GurusI am working on a n airport scenery which uses custom runways and taxiways, but ia m having problem in converting them in to landable surfaces... the aircraft is sinkin in to the taxis and runways... i tried using fsregen but with no luck... can any one plzzz tell me how to make them hard ...may be by editing the asm code or somethin or some other software to so this job..any help will be much appreciated...heersPrav

    I can't for the life of me get the AnimHouse.gmax model to show on the taxiway to the right of 34R at Seattle.1. I load the model into gMax2. Export it out as a Flightsim Scenery Object (*.mdl) into the Addon Scenery folder3. Place bglcomp.exe and the .xsd file in where the .mdl and .xml are4. Compile the .xml into a .bgl5. Load flightsim up6. Nothing...All my scenery complexity settings are high, the Addon Scenery folder is correctly place in my scenery.cfg and the textures are in the texture folder.Whats wrong?I look forward to any replies.Thanks

    I recently downloaded Mr. Kahn's absolutely exquisite sceneries for Israel and the entire city comes to life, even to the extent that the roadways are dotted with moving car lights.I want to try and do this as well for the areas around NYC, especially around KLGA where the expressway visual is.The thing is, I recently got FS9 and have no idea about how to create anything like this.     I'm going crazy trying to make this simple piece of code work. The following doesn't compile with the 'BiasXYZ' section in but it's fine without it.Does anyone know what the correct syntax is? I throw this out because it's way over my head. Maybe someone familiar with .NET and serialization can turn this into a BGL to XML decompiler. I just revisited my earlier attempts when the new revised SDK turned out a new bglcomp.xsd file. Well folks, after reading 9 pages of postings without finding anything about this topic, I guess that the problem has been solved so much time ago that none of you speaks about it anymore.But I lost the train.........oops, the aircraft.So, how can I do to make my goddamn taxiway (and/or runway) lights to fade out as far as I get farther from them? I have Win XP Pro and when I open the Command Prompt window I already see C:Documents and SettingsPaul Clawson>. Am I correct in thinking that exclusions work only on Airport Facilities and Autogen but not on other MS Scenery ie: Default rivers, lakes, hills etc...?I have a lake I've wanted to zap due to the fact that it doesn't exist. I've had no problem accurately excluding anything on my Airport property or anywhere I've needed to remove unwanted Autogen growth... but this lake has been a pain to exclude and it seems to me that I recall hearing that Default rivers etc cannot be removed...I've loaded over and over Ground2K with all it's patches and manual insertions of it's DLL's but I still can't get it to fly...Below is an example of my exclusion area that I bounded …

    Hey all..quick question...anybody know where i can find a listing of all the light names and variables for a bgl im building. Im not too happy with Light_Beacon command....basically looking for a one second flash setting like on the wingtips of planes. I have tried Light_Strobe but doesnt seem to change to what im looking for.     Can somebody recommend a sort of tutorial/document which explains the "in's and out's" of the different scenery-files in FS2004. What I need as a total novice on this object is an overview of these files:- how they are organised?- the data they contain?- difference between texture and scenery folders?- where are the mesh-data?- where are the landclass/texture data?- where are the navaid-data?In the same way as I fly over the Agaian Sea to learn something about the greek islands I would like to "fly over the theoretical landscape" of scenery management in FS2004.     Hi secenry designers! I bought MyWorld2004 the other day. As I understand it it is a collection of all the former FSLandclass terrain-files? I bought MyWorld2004 in order to get a better terrain texture for greece, but still a lot of villages are missing. If I buy the mesh for Balkan and greece (Europe 5) will these villages on the mainland and islands be there or will the mesh "only" provide a better 3D-landscape?     would like to know if airport and vod textures are needed in fs2004 when using scenery which was made for 2002 and do these go in main texture folder as they did in 2002, the reason i ask is some scenery i have which was made for fs2002 says it needs vod and airport textures, but when i have installed it, the tree textures are still missing, just white blocks.

    Hi,I thought I posted this question or as I need help but I don't see it in the forum.I am making buildings per the SDK and have printed copies of the "texture number" .bmp they refer to. I also have been playing with the textureIndex... values. I have some luck with this but am puzzled. The eamples and ny experiments show I can be outside of the .bmp's bounds of 128x128 in selected cases and still get parts of that texture .bmp. Can anyone out there give a desription of how these indexes are used? I thought I knew but I guess not!     Hi all. I just finished a scenery and used AFCAD2 to have it show on the GPS. I did not use the runway option, but only used the "Initial Start" option. I now can see it on the GPS, but I have to lower the view down to 10 miles for it to show. Anything higher, and the airport name (code) dissappears. Is there anything I can do to get it to show from a longer distance? Thanks!Don

I figured it had to do something with the complexity of the polygon because most of those problems disappeared when re-compiling the G2K4 files with the latest version.     Hey all...probably something really stupid im doing wrong but having problem having my textures show up in fs2004 using gmax and photo real texture. i have no problem getting them on my object in gmax but dont show in fs2004..my object just shows up grey.
