    I have searched this forum and others for any reference to the use of sounds in Gmax, but no luck at all.Thanks to Arno's CAT program it is now very easy to make hangers with opening doors (thank you Arno, the old editing method was so tricky I had almost given up!).I noticed that there is a sound option in Gmax, so now (in Gmax anyway) I can have my rusty old hanger doors open with a grating, grinding noise. (Go to Graph Editors>Track View>Open Track View and select sounds)How to get this to work in FS?As an alternative to Gmax I tried Peter Dowsons esound.dll but I don't think it works with scenery.Any ideas?Geoff

    hi: I have downloaded some objects from this files library,because of it looks quite good, and I use SceneGenX. The problem is all of this files are .API or other extension name, they r used in AFW3.0, how can i use them in SceneGenX with XML? thanks

    Im using Novasim to creat macros, and sometimes these macros dissapear once Im in FS.I don't know why this is happening but some just appear if I move from place to place.Anyone had the same problem?Regards,Ricardo

    Hi everyone,I've been trying to get the photo scenery option working in SBuilder and not having much luck... If anyone has time to type some step-by-step help that would be great!Here's what I've done so far...1. Click "Map" button, click in my scenery project, pick the map bitmap image, calibrate.     Ok I have Holgers draft tutorial for editing bgl's I have removed the North Saskatchewan river for one area. When I view the bgl I can see that the water and shore lines are gone. But when I fly over the area the river is still there Any suggestions?? I removed the appropriate default bgl from the NAMW scenery folder and added the "new" one without the river in a new folder which I activated through the library.

    Hello!Due to some action I don't remember I've created an box in GMax that seems to be undeletable. I want to delete that box that I've created somehow by accident but it isn't possible to select it by mouse and it also isn't shown in the object list.This object is definetely no part of all the objects in the object list of that file, but the problem is that MakeMDL converts it too.Every help is greatly appreciated.Sasahttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/82554.jpg

    I am having a few problems using these tools.To start, Airport 3.0. Should I be using this tool primarily? A lot of macros are now in XML, or MDL files. Anyway, when I try compiling, I get a message that says error compiling _exclude.bgl. What do I need to do to fix this?With SceneGenX, I am trying to install XML macros, but dont know where to put the actual image stuff. Do I just manually do the XML code? Or is there a way to effectively use them by putting in 3D objects.Also, with both of these, when I compile and install, I dont see any changes. The only chages to the actual airport scenery I have seen thusfar are with AFCAD2.21.Anyway, any help would be appreciated. I…

    Hi all,I am using Ground2K4 to do a WW2 airbase for FS9. I wish to place concrete roads w/o night lighting, throughout the base. I have compiled with the night light box unchecked and they are still lit. Is there a way to keep the roads from being lit up at night?     Hi all: I am currently trying to setup a pretty realistic Boeing 747 cockpit environment. This entails being able to simultaneously view both the Captain and First Officer instrument panels. Solution? Multiple-monitors with a Captain panel on one and a First Officer panel on the other. Problem --- a ferocious frame-rate hit. The panels themselves are no "Biggie" but the respective outside view windows are real killers. My "screaming" 3.4 Ghz computer (with all sliders turned off) can generate upwards of 40 frames per second. But with an outside view window created on a second monitor that FPS drops down to around 7.5. NOT good. Anyone got a satisfactory answer fo…

    HiI usually get rid of the auto gen using excbuilderv2 and it worked fine. Then i needed to reinstall fs (cauz i messed up my ai traiifc and to clear all the rubbish i had in there) and now when i try to use excbuilderv2 i get a error saying that the file MSSTDFMT.DLL is missing. Does anyone know where to get this or how i might of had it in the 1st place?Thanks!

    Hi to all,I have recently been experimenting with Ground2k4 and love the possibilities. I have run into a snag: I wish to change a crop area to grass. But when I go to compile, I get an error message written in French although I have English option chosen.(see pic) What does the message say,(i have an idea it has to do with resample .exe) and what do I do to correct the problem?     hello there: I am using jetways2 to add some boarding bridges during SceneGenx, but it is so unconveniently to put the bridges to a nice position that fit the building. every time i do is get in fs2004 and take a aircraft to the position i want, then record the datas, back to SceneGenx, put the bridge to that position, back to fs2004 have look first, then switch to SceneGenx again, until it looks correctly.is there any tips can do the little-adjustment for a 3-d object? thankx

    Hi everyone,I recently took off from Aswan airport in Egypt and wanted to see whether MS has both the lower and the upper dam on the Nile. The result was disappointing: instead of the high dam, there is a stupid bridge crossing the Nile (The lower dam is missing completely). My question is:- what is the best way to remove that bridge?- what would be the best technique so make both dams? The lower one is a concrete & stone construction, so I could try to make it a gmax building, but how to fit that into the valley between two bodies of water which must have a different elevation, and the higher ground to the sides of the valley?The upper dam is one of those large earth…
