Dear All:I have created a coast scenery with Ground2k4 , but when i place a city polygon overa a desert polygon i see desert lines in the city polygons when i fly in FS9, these lines disappear when i fly close to the polygon.I think ground2k4 divides a polygon i multiple polygons and between of those polygons there is a space that let see the polygon below of the top polygon.Thanks.

Yesterday evening I started up FS9 for this first in many weeks, and it immediately crashed while loading "TERRAIN". I then spent more than an hour trying to figure out the problem, doing the usual things e.g. checking that the v9.1 modules hadn't been replaced by older versions, recreating FS9.cfg from scratch, and checking the integrity of the scenery.cfg. Then I suddenly got the idea to neutralize the Texture_ID=1 value in the Area.001 of the scenery.cfg like this: [Area.001] ;Texture_ID=1 Title=Default Terrain Active=TRUE Layer=1 Local=SceneryWorld Required=TRUE I then executed FS9 and of course when it arrived at this entry the following message appeared: "Scenery re…

We've been working on placing some oil rigs with functioning helipads in the Gulf of Mexico. A persistant problem has been an error when exiting the sim, and an occasional CTD while switching location from an oil platform or flying around them, and the error is always in util.dll (according to window's error reporting service). At first we thought it was related to placing the default library object using scasm, but we've still got it using XML and BGLComp. Now that my autogen creation program is a bit more stable, I've been able to get back to my true mission of working on the photoreal scenery project of the Phoenix, Arizona area. I really have gone hog-wild in the amount of photoreal tiles I've laid down so I'm paying the price now of having to add autogen buildings and objects to all of it. My program has really sped up that process though and each day I add tons of autogen to the project. Hi,I made some nightlighting for Ostend (EBOS) Belgium for FS2002 (it seems not to work in FS2004) with Airport for Windows 2.6 and PSP7. Now the simmers pilots can fly at night and taxi also to the lighted apron. It is for FS2002 and I think the only way to work in FS9 is to use only GMAX.You can see screenshots and download the extra file "EBOS Plus" and install the lighting "EBOS Lights" in another map in Addon scenery FS2002. I've been working on some areas of photoscenery for a while now, but it's been rough going because the data is very limited and oddly shaped, and I can only fill 2 or 3 LOD13 areas per bgl file. I made the first 2 bgls and they came out looking just fine, but I've tried to make 3 more and they absolutely will not appear in FS. I've checked and re-checked the inf files for every one; everything seems to be in order, and I've made sure that the bitmaps are in the proper format. I even tried adding them several different ways into FS, through their own scenery folder, through the existing scenery folder for the 2 areas that work, and in the Addon Scenery directory. I am …

I am a complete beginner in scenery design. I have only managed to repaint textures of airport poster signs and people so far, nothing else...(Bmp or other such graphiucs files).I wonder if anyone in this forum who knows scenery design matters can help me with this question:I have Rich Hogen's Arrestor Cables --aircraft carriers placed in various parts of the FS2002 globe, and I would like to place one of these in Greek waters, off Athens,in the bay there. Hello !I've problem with my photoreal scenery. I perfecly conneted 16 ground polygons to cover 2048x2048m area ( 512x512 textures ) but there are gaps between polygons that spoil all scenery :-/ ( see attachment ) I checked 10 times that vertex are prefectly connected with each other but I'm still have these gaps . Scnery is compiled with fs2002 gamepack and "ADDCAT OBJECT_0_SCALE, 8 " command.Can I use 2048x2048 texture or it will cause serious performance hit ? regardsEricson

Is there a program available anywhere which will enable me to batch convert extended bitmaps into a form which I can then view in Paint Shop Pro? I have Martin Wright's DXTBmp program but, of course, this only lets me convert one file at a time which is a bit time consuming.Thanks for any help.David

I run a Virtual Airline out of Edinburgh and Manchester and would need someone to work on 2 projects with us. First would be a scenery modification to Edinburgh to include our VA's headquarters, jetways and service vehicules. Second would be the programming of at least a partial schedule in AI traffic of our flights. Anyone interested in designing these modifications please reply.

I had to uninstall TerraBuilder Lite some time back. Now I can no longer install it. With little to no help from the developer, I need a program simular, Is there any Freeware or US Payware programs one cane use to develope photoquality scenery, My entire state of 2ft per pixel resolution is now available for download. I have resized to approxamently 4.75 M per pixel and pasted photos to cover LOD areas but now can not produce my files. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Richard L Hill

I've yet to see any posts in the forums that claim to be from anyone on the Microsoft FS development team but then again, I'm relatively new to Avsim and flightsimming in general. I would think it extremely strange if their developers and marketers didn't keep an eye on flight sim forums throughout the internet if for no other reason just curiosity as to how their product is being used.If they are looking, and I suspect they are, why no replies or are they replying and simply being anonymous about it? I was wishing to create an accurate AFCAD file for EGLL using data files from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. This document gives all the lat/long positions for almost everything at EGLL including runways, parking stands etc.On trying to place parking stands to the default EGLL I found that the stand placement was wrong. Upon investigation it seems that EGLL is misplaced in our FS World.The Centre point of runway 09L/27R in the real world is N51.2839W000 27.41. This means that the MSFS runway is in actual fact 489 meters too far North and 295 meters too far West. I have successfully completed a hanger using NovaSim. Using the Quick Scenery option I am able to place the hangar in FS2004 and view it in the sim. Everything is OK at this point so I delete the bgl file created by Quick Scenery.I then place the appropriate api file in the latest version of Airport for Windows and compile a new bgl file. When I go into FS2004 the hangar is not where I placed it but is, in fact, to one side of the airport.I thought at one time that I had not properly scaled the background bitmap that I am using in Airport for Windows but I have checked this out and even slightly altered the scaling but all to no effect.I must be doing something wrong b…

Gentlemen,From messages here, I've come to grips with the apparent fact that GMAX light objects do not work in FS2004 but that one uses effects for this. OK, I have used effects to place red obstacle lights on top of hangars so have the basics of effect placement. I have not been successful in finding an effect to light a ramp area in front of a hangar. Any suggestions are appreciated.
