Yesterday I posted my question on the NavData Forum. I was told that it was a scenery problem and was offered no assistance.The problem is: When putting in the localizer frequency, I don't get any glideslopes at Denver Int'l. None apparent when approaching either. Other airports have one or two missing glideslopes but none as severe as Denver. Many airports have all good glideslopes. Any thoughts?Jeffrey

HiI created light-poles with attached light effects to light the tarmac area. It works ok when I take off from my airport. After returning to the airport, the light effects are all gone(not visible anymore). Has got anyone an idea why?ByeJoerg

hi i am trying to move an airport to another spot. i changed the afcad, and placed some new airport buildings but failed to esclude the old ones. how can i remove them? i excluded pretty much everything possible, but the buildings refuse to disappear. any suggestions?thanks

I'm trying to create a bridge using multiple GUID objects from the library. Problem is of course piecing them together to properly align and form a seamless bridge. Even with an FS9-linked scenery placer like Runway 12 this is a tedious trial-and-error process.I realize it would be easier to make a VTP line bridge, but the style selection is limited and simplistic. I am wanting to make scenery only for FS2004. Having installed Airport For Windows 3.00 and started to get used to it, and more recently SGX which seems to work similarly to Airport 3.00, and also FSSC which I have not yet tried to use, is there any point in me keeping FSSC? I would only want to keep it if it could offer benefits for FS2004 sceneries that the others do not provide, but as I have not used it I do not know. Airport also allows for the import of sca files which FSSC does not, which is probably the main reason I got started with Airport 3.00 first.

i am confused. why is this program called ground 2k4 if it isnt working for fs2k4? the polys i've created show up but neither the landclass nor the waterclass shows up. when i try to analyse the .bgl file and convert it to an xml file it doesnt work. the exclude file created by ground 2k4 doesnt exclude sh*t, even in the file parameters it only has the option to choose between fs2002 or cfs2. is there a program that actually works for fs2004?

Hi all,I've got a small announcement to make. As you all probably know I'm the author of ExcBuilderV2 tool, which was released in December of 2003. I thought about adding some more functionality in January of 2004, but it took me a while to get motivated. I am hoping there might be a simple answer to my problem.I am trying my first attempt at making additional scenery and want to add many FS2000 style advanced buildings to a couple of existing scenery add ons using the latest updated Airport For Windows program.However after adding about 100 buildings (I hope to be adding many more than that but no point if the scenery is going to be unusable) I get an error message after shutting down FS9. The module named is G3D.dll which I understand is supposed to be indicating a graphics problem, however I don't see much relationship with added buildings (that are not even in view before shutting down FS9) and graphics. I thought I heard something the other day about George Lucas's company releasing the software they'd developed for 3d modeling and animation to the general public. Has anyone heard anything about this and if so, what are the details? So far we're stuck in the confusing world of GMAX but it might be worthwhile seeing if this program is as good as I expect it to be and has the capability to export to a format that GMAX will understand.Art Martin

Greetings to all,I have a few questions re: AFCAD2 that I have not found answers for and was hoping you all could help out.1. If I create an AFCAD2 layout, does it over-ride the stock FS9 layout?2. I've set the parking spots with a code (177J) just for a certain squadron's aircraft (coded in the aircraft.cfg file) and deleted the GA spots. I continue to get some civilian aircraft in the MILRAMP_COMBAT parking spots.If my new AFCAD over-rides the stock layout, then I might need to re-add the CIV parking spots. Yes?3. i hope the answer to this is as daft as the problem might implie (ie i hope it's me being an idiot)when i attempt to open the exported asm file in Fsregen, i browse it to the file the path appears in the window..then i click "open"and Fsregen gives me an error message saying that the file cannot be found...this is because what ever name i have saved the asm file as from g-max export (keep files etc) it changes so if i try to open test.asmit says it cannot findtest_0.asmif i rename the file totest_0.asm it says it cannot findtest_0_0.asm and so on ad infinitum..real beginners stuff as usual but there it is..what is going on?

Hello all,I have started constructing an adventure and would like to place a CVN on the map. I am using Runway12 and looking at Richard Hogen's wonderful ARRCAB files - my problem is that I can't figure out which .bgl's I need to make a whole carrier.I have already had luck with "carrier anywhere," but I really want to place a large modern version. I am a long-time flyer but brand new at design, so any suggestions or links to tutorials would be much appreciated.Many thanks!

Can someone out there give me a little help please? I have created my terminal buildings in Gmax (ver 1.2 and using FS2004 SDK's, MDK's etc from Microsoft) and have tried to apply LOD's to my buildings. I have followed the tutorial to the letter and everything appears to work as it should. I have the "dummy", the LOD_100, 050 and 010 as expected. However, the number of faces (polys or whatever) have increased due to the addition of these other LOD's and this has resulted in a bgl that is at least twice the size of the original.This causes me major problems in the sim as the scenery just blurs completely and the frame rates go down to virtually zero (well 3 or 4 anyway).If…

Hi,I am making an airport scenery and I want to know what for configuration you have to do in order to control the display.Example: airport LOWL where you can set the display slider completely to the right and see more and more objects appearing. I'm trying to find the definitive requirements for AFCADs to be used with elevated hardened GMAX objects, and whether the requirements are the same for both AI use and user use.Specifically, what we're trying to do is make offshore oil rigs, and we've gotten a lot of help from the folks over at www.hovercontrol.com but we still get rigs sitting on top of little hills of water under certain circumstances.What we've done is create an AFCAD with an altitude of the hardened surface of the helipad in the default FS9 rig object. I'm new at scenery creation and I've got a question. I built a building in Lightwave, and imported to gmax. I did all the bgl compiling and although I can see my object in FS2004 where it should be, I can fly right thru it. Do I need a crash box around it? If so how is that done?Thanks,Dave

Hi I need a guru on creating special effects in FS2004. I am trying to set the distance parameter,that is the distance a special effect becomes viewable in FS2004. For example anything put in above zero gives an error message when loading FS2004. I would assume distance is measured in metres. Attached is an example.RegardsKym Burton

Hi fellow scenery makers!Using: Flight Simulator Scenery CreatorI do have some questions. 1. I have created an Island, And I whant to place a Texture to the Ground at the Island. I have discoverd how to at a texture, but I don't feel to add the same texture around the Islond manualy, It it possible to make the program "cut" and "paste" the texture to the ground?2. I have made a runway, They show up in Flightsim, but It's only on the west side of the runway that has a number, not the other side.3. How to I make a beach line?
